Any mention of Roseanne (Conner) on this show has to be better than what happened at "Valerie's Family"/"The Hogan Family" after they canned Valerie Harper. Not only did they stop mentioning Valerie rather quickly -- I swear there were times when we were supposed to assume Sandy Duncan had been there all along! -- BUT, they even wrote an episode where the attic burned down, and with it, all the photos and other mementos the family ever had of their matriarch. (Like, REALLY, Miller/Boyett? Every. Single. One?)

PREACH.

Unfortunately, Sean Hannity, who obviously wants to be Trump's BFF, has taken to calling him "Shifty Schiff" as well. In fact, he repeats it so often -- and so awkwardly -- that if it were a drinking game, you'd be sloshed before his first commercial break. (Which isn't a bad thing, since you probably NEED to be intoxicated to watch his show on Fox News.)

Well...lol...that's where he lived, I think, after he was discharged from the Guyana Defence Force. (He was living in Tortola with his then-wife and my half-sister, whom I've never met.) Papa Khan was born and raised, though, in Kitty Village, which remains one of Georgetown's (British Guyana) roughest neighborhoods. As he told me many times over the years, everyone he grew up with either died or ended up in jail; and even though he never renounced his Guyanese citizenship -- in fact, he'd finally applied for his green card when he died unexpectedly seven years ago -- he never held any desire to return there either. Frankly, I don't think Trump has anything to worry about when it comes to slowing immigration. He and the rest of his administration have done a bang-up job in deterring anyone from coming here for generations to come. LOL! Oh, @Vee!

OTOH, I've witnessed how Ron Carlivati writes for POC, so I could feel grateful that, for the most part, he's left us the hell alone, lol!

If this new policy had been in effect in 1972, when Papa Khan immigrated here on a visa from the British Virgin Islands, he would have been denied entry. Ironic that Pete Buttigieg should be considered not as extreme as other Democratic candidates in this election cycle. We've come a long way, baby. IDK what to say about those texts, except I think it's funny (and strange) how texting turns us all into chatty high school girls. It's as if these guys all were holding their smartphones under their desks; texting, tweeting and sneaking peeks at Instagram while Trump, Pence, Barr and Pompeo weren't looking. I caught a bit of Faux News while waiting for my to-go order at [redacted]. Apparently, they're all over the fact that one of 'em said, "The president said 'no quid pro quo' here." And here we thought Bubbles, who had "found the Lort" while still in college, would be above such skulduggery.

I don't think either were fired, @glatwt. Calhoun quit/retired, and Long quit, because she had encountered overwhelming resistance from P&G or CBS on several proposed storylines.

Nevertheless, the Trump Administration, along with that Vogel dude and every yahoo with a podcast or YouTube account, will STAY insisting that "Uncle Joe" used his political muscle to squash an investigation against his crooked-as-the-day-is-long son.
