Does anyone else think Spacey will walk on these charges?

My crack about her haircut aside, I really can't hate on Lauralee Bell. True, she began on Y&R as the poster child for nepotism. However, she used the opportunity to hone her craft. She EARNED her place on that canvas -- and now, when she's on, I'm glad she's on, because she's a nice reminder of when Y&R was still a show worth watching.

"It doesn’t look anything like Melania. It’s a Smurfette. It’s a disgrace." Please. Smurfette wasn't nearly that ugly.

I just hope his spray-on tan's waterproof. A Trump Balloon/Stay-Puft Marshallow Man ticket sounds awfully good to me.

ICAM. It always makes me laugh when I read or hear the media complain that the administration is attacking their institution. "Well, of course, he is," I think, "but you wouldn't BE in the position that you're in if you hadn't legitimized and normalized his campaign!". They dug this hole for America, but they forgot to dig one for themselves as well.

As a comedian once said about someone else, "he's got a package UPS couldn't deliver."

Melrose Place
Andrew Shue's line delivery was as nonexistent as his sister's. He did a good thing by dropping out of acting.

The news about Bernie's drop in the polls doesn't surprise me. With the Democratic Party co-opting more and more of his ideas (such as they are, lol), the luster that surrounded "Bernie, the Outsider" three years ago is starting to fade. Plus, I'm hoping that voters on the left are catching onto the idea that maybe, just maybe, there isn't much difference between Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump after all. But, as always, it's still early, and it's still anyone's ballgame. Make no mistake, the Trump administration WILL get its' precious citizenship question on the Census. They'll just have to be more...creative about it. I'm as certain of that as I am about anything else.

And if we hit back with actual, proven facts, all they will do is shrug and say, "So what?". Truth doesn't matter anymore in this country. This is what we have to celebrate tomorrow. It's disgusting.

I don't know whether to laugh or shake my damn head at social media users. Seriously, people need to get their facts clear before getting outraged and cancelling celebrities. This is just like when those "Christians" petitioned Netflix about not renewing "Good Omens" without realizing that Netflix doesn't even carry the damn show!

This is why I can't take conservatives seriously whenever they call liberals and progressives "snowflakes." They are too quick to cut-and-run when they know they are outnumbered and in the wrong.

Yeah, "Farscape" was one series (of many) whose appeal remains lost on me. It's a shame, too, because Ben Browder is one delicious piece of eye candy. IKR? Usually, the supporting characters can be a series' saving grace. With "Bones," however, I found them to be only slightly less annoying than Emily Deschanel.

My first thought: "John Void says he will abolish time and space? Well, look who's feeling his oats, now that Leon Russell's gone?" But seriously. I feel like Void is meant to be whichever other candidate you want it to be. From my perspective, Warren appears to be the one candidate thus far to have sat down (either by herself, or with her advisers) and thought out what reforms she'd like to institute as president, as well as how she'd go about instituting them. While every other candidate has offered either vague and sketchy plans, or pie-in-the-sky ones that aren't the least bit doable. (And that's not including Marianne Williamson, who, like Charlie Brown, has just a rock.)

It's like what Cadwalladr says in the clip: in these populist times, how do you hold a liar to account? Neither Trump nor his team ever admit any wrongdoing; and those who support and defend the loser either don't believe what you're telling them, or they say it doesn't matter. Add to this the fact that the media is basically in the tank for him -- because, at best, they see Trump as an endless source for copy; and at worst, they see him as their best tool for engaging the rest of the country with their dangerous and destructive ideologies -- and many otherwise well-meaning journalists just believe it's all pointless. Agree. When the Democrats regained the House, many probably felt the Trump administration FINALLY had someone, or someones, to keep them in check and make them accountable. Unfortunately, when House Democrats said they weren't going to seek impeachment charges against Trump -- even though their arguments for doing so are perfectly sound! -- people felt once again that "the system" had failed them. Barring any dramatic developments between now and the next elections, I'm afraid that sentiment will cost the Democratic Party big-time at the polls.

Isabel Oakeshot is such a damn tool that she makes me want to scream. In fact, I am so literally overcome with hatred toward that woman and the views she expressed that I'm rendered speechless. There is so much I want to say, but I can't, because she just makes me so [!@#$%^&*] angry.

LOL! Thank you, @ReddFoxx, for the much-needed laugh! As long as Mitch McConnell remains in the Senate, House and Senate Democrats are dead in the water.

His team could try, but I'm afraid it'll all be for naught. Biden's like Trump in that he possesses this curious knack of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time; and if enough are convinced that Biden will be another Trump (only one who swings to the left...for the most part), then either they'll vote third party again or just stay home (again). And yet, I still think he's the best shot we have at getting Trump out of the WH. This is going to be one rough ride, folks.

I'm not necessarily talking about the run-up to the election. Presidential races are hardly ever civil, lol. But, if Biden were to defeat Trump, I do believe some measure of civility would return to the actual presiding over our nation. - The Politics Thread
