  1. It wasn't. Unless one of Ned and Mary Ruthledge Holden's offspring - or one of their offspring's offspring - changed their surname to "Ruthledge" out of respect for the late Reverend Ruthledge, there's no way that minister could've been a member of the Ruthledge/Holden family.
  2. That won't happen 'til he learns he's the father of Willow's baby (which she passes off as Drew's in order to get her hands on some of his money).
  3. Raped. By a mime. "Family show," my ass, lol. In a way, "Brady Brides" was ahead of its' time. Nowadays, the networks think nothing of reviving or rebooting old shows - "Roseanne"/"The Conners" being but one, recent example. Back then, however, it was probably unheard of.
  4. The thing is, if Trump wants those tariffs so badly, then why doesn't he just put forth his (shoddy af) case before Congress, which his party controls, instead of invoking executive orders that can be (and have been) reversed upon appeal? For once, I'm with Gorsuch: Congress just needs to do its' [!@#$%^&*] job, lol.
  5. I agree!
  6. Donald Trump: "Guess I'll invite the women's team, too, or they'll impeach me!" Did he really think the women's team would've accepted an invitation to visit the WH after making that kind of statement?
  7. Which is silly, because, with all the procedurals already clogging up the networks, why on Earth would we want more of the same on streaming?
  8. "'Body & Soul': Coming this Fall to Peacock!"
  9. "Family" had one of the all-time great ensembles on TV; yet, I'd love to see someone who's capable try and reboot the series today, with good actors and good writers.
  10. And I think even that's up for debate, as it seems a lot of longtime GH fans around here who watched during that time have said that what saved GH back then was Gloria Monty's production and the fact that so many well-loved characters remained front-and-center.
  11. Lemme guess: Susan and Liza fell out, because Liza said she thought Deidre Hall was a better actor.
  12. I agree. There comes a point in FC's run when the vineyards themselves become an afterthought, and most of the drama has little-to-nothing to do with the actual running of Falcon Crest. S8 tries to re-emphasize the vineyards - as well as the classism that you've mentioned, @soapfan770 - with the additions of Nick, Ben and the Ortegas. However, with the severely reduced budget and the loss of Ana-Alicia (and Kristian Alfonso as a poor substitute), the season is just a chore to watch.
  13. Seeing "The Exorcist" and "Three's Company" in the same sentence has me thinking up the most bizarre episode ever. ("Tonight on 'Three's Company': Heads will turn (with laughter!) when Jack and Janet think Chrissy is possessed by the devil!")
  14. Before the credits even roll, my friend! Before the credits even roll!
  15. It also doesn't help when there's 11,000 streaming services and you're trying like hell to remember which show streams on which app, lol.
  16. True, lol. Shows in the UK seem better equipped for shorter, more infrequent seasons, but that's probably because their audiences have been conditioned to them over time. (For one thing, the shows I've watched know to put more story in those seasons, so that doesn't it feel like two episodes of worthwhile drama being stretched into eight, lol).
  17. RC's new soap is all about a group of gay men who share a house and a love for all things KL.
  18. I agree with @CrazySexyQ : there needs to be a licensed psychiatric professional co-hosting the show with Maurice and guiding the discussions. Maurice provides what could be, for many, a very helpful platform to discuss mental health, but he really shouldn't handle the interviews alone. Amen! It's really enough to make you want to cancel your internet service and live entirely off the grid.
  19. I hope not. HM deserved better, lol. I dunno, it always seems far-fetched to me to have cartels and the like mucking about on a show that's supposed to be about the wine industry. Like, is the industry really that dangerous, lol?
  20. Was Rachel Miner conventionally pretty? No. But, like with Jada Rowland on THE SECRET STORM, viewers had become so attached to the young actress and her amazing, note-perfect performances that replacing her (especially with Rebecca [!@#$%^&*] Budig) still seems unthinkable.
  21. That's one of my complaints about all the primetime soaps from the '80's and '90's. Because they never repeat well (except, that is, on streaming, lol), networks forced them to produce 25 or more episodes per season for several seasons, forcing producers either to pad part of those seasons or to throw in so many story twists and turns that the stories themselves verged on becoming ludicrous.
  22. Once again, I blame the internet and social media for turning generations of people into chronic over-sharers. I really miss the days when there was a veil of mystery between entertainers and their audiences, allowing the work to speak for itself.
  23. And to think there was even talk of poor Audrey Hardy being diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease around the same time (although, that might have been just rumor).
  24. IIRC, things got so bad for the pregnant Sharon Gabet, her then-husband, Larry Joshua, went to TPTB and asked them to release her from her contract out of concern for her and their expectant child's health.
