  1. I've been supportive, too, which is why this came off so poorly to me. I've seen A LOT of those hospital paddle scenes over the years, but this one had me not considering the patient at all because I couldn't believe the doctor and hospital staff I was watching. Let me know what you think.
  2. How many times did they hit Sam with the paddles? LOL Sorry, but those scenes were laughable. Nothing Van Hansis did in those scenes resembled anything near "good acting." I mean, he was absolutely over-the-top awful. Every extra on Grey's Anatomy's 21 seasons did a better job.
  3. I have to agree with this. I haven't seen one false move from BTG until seeing that Ron Carlivati was hired. I mean, WT actual F? I hate this. No, I'm not throwing away all my good feelings about the show, but this really gives me pause.
  4. -- I don't trust that this show considered when to add this Drake tribute. I don't believe they gave any thought to that at all. I think the tribute was ready, so they added it. -- Unpopular opinion here, I know, but I've enjoyed JPL on his return. It's all over-the-top, but it seems intentional to me, and it works. It's hard to look away, I know that. -- Javi might be a cliche so far, but the actor is pretty good.
  5. I think we will see the ranch set a lot. I guess that'll be an improvement from characters moving from one restaurant to another. Seems like we're supposed to believe Nick is still in his "new house" that we last saw...I don't remember when. I do recall it being a pretty large space, and they even had a long hallway attached to it. I'm really happy about the ranch coming back, but that won't be enough to satisfy me. The sets problem at Y&R is enormous, and one of the show's biggest flaws. I can't stand what we're seeing right now. I hope Ed Scott's return addresses this.
  6. You're absolutely right. It's unreal how little romance there is on this show. It's barren. Frigid kisses every few weeks from Chase and Brook Lynn ain't it.
  7. Why is Rafe's place decorated like it's the set of a garage sale or shelves at Burlington that haven't been straightened for months?
  8. Brooke, I mean. It's laughable to hear Carter act as if it's a mind-blowing move to add fragrances and handbags to the Forrester line. Doesn't just about every fashion house in the world already do this? Carter said he's been developing this for many years. Uh....ok then. That entire conversation is something I hope we never hear on Beyond The Gates. It's so dated and ridiculous.
  9. I think it was a weird choice for the show to end on Laura and Heather today, when seconds before, we saw Cody and Sasha leading into an explosive conversation.
  10. DAYS has been pretty lousy for a good while. Body & Soul has made it worse, and my guess is that's impacted viewing. I can see people tuning out as soon as it's clear they're watching a B&S episode.
  11. No, "most viewers" DON'T want the "fictional drama and escapism" from reality that soaps are presently giving us. You've mentioned anemic ratings more than once. Are you listening to yourself? No one wants or expects scenes revolving around Kamala Harris or other real politicians. Still, it'd be nice to have a soap that doesn't purposely avoid mentioning politics or politicians. Instead we get political races where no one is part of a party. No one stands for anything. It all comes off as fake as hell.
  12. Face it, Brook is sorry she hasn't had some chocolate finery.
  13. I think it's out of date to think a new soap has to premiere in September. Network primetime shows now begin new seasons in October, and streaming/cable don't worry about the calendar at all.
  14. -- I really like the newly-built Newman ranch. I just hope that more set improvements -- and more sets daily -- come along with it. If the GCAC has to be put away every time the Newman ranch is shown, I won't be happy. The show still lacks horribly in workplaces and charcters' homes. -- I like the Crimson Lights set as is. It was nicely updated a few years ago, and I think those tchotkes mentioned give it character and history. -- Can someone explain to me the reason for Jack and Diane to let everyone in town believe their marriage is blowing up? I can see trying to fool Kyle, but I just don't get what this is supposed to accomplish. -- The detective work done by Chance on Heather's murder has to be the worst in TV history.
  15. Then let's get to the good stuff and see some horniness.
  16. It's really sad that the show and Monaco couldn't put that BTS stuff away for her final few weeks. I won't miss KM for her acting, but I will -- as I always do -- miss her because she's been on the show for more than 20 years. I love characters who stick around with the same actor. Frank's unhappiness with KM is written all over these scenes, almost as if he gave writers a directive to screw her over. And Kelly, instead of giving her fans even more reason to be sad and to miss her, decided to go to the phone bank...again. The whole thing is sad.
  17. I actually feel sorry for the actor. They've given him nothing except "Be the understanding young person who shares pearls of wisdom." Yeah, that's the truth. I'm all for diversity and representation, but she is not a good actor. The fact is, her weaknesses have been ignored because of who she is.
  18. Agree with this. I never had any problem with Spencer's height in relation to Trina's. None.
  19. I think that's exactly what's going on.
  20. They're not really thinning the herd, though. Characters are being added all over the place.
  21. Have to agree. I lived through the Holly/Robert stuff, and they really were magical. More flashbacks would have improved this story immensely.
  22. I agree -- I don't see any mental illness, just a character written as a complete moron. I do have to laugh at the music used in the DAYS club/lounge scenes. It's so bad -- always sounds like music lifted from bad porn.
  23. LOL I also had to laugh at Sonny's hair on today's show. Are they using shoe polish to get it that black? Nicholas Alexander Chavez had a lot of really nice things to say about his experience at General Hospital. https://people.com/nicholas-alexander-chavez-had-whole-body-shakes-on-first-day-general-hospital-exclusive-8731460
