1000% percent on this. Will needs to be on the canvas. If Chandler can't or won't come back full-time, I'd take a recast at this point, too. Also, where was poor Ari again today? It's like they're always forgetting to include her. Even boring Rafe was there.

Also, it hit me that it would have made WAY more sense for Ari to be there with Holly and Tate to hear the Horton stories since she's actually...a Horton. I'm not sure if they've had her interact with the Hortons at all since she's been on the show. Her absence for those scenes on Monday were very glaring in my opinion. That being said, today and yesterday reminded me of how I would probably watch the show on a daily basis again if the Hortons were featured more. I feel like the Dimeras have been the family that ate the show.

I like to think that they made their way back to each other down the road.

Did anyone else catch the Santa Barbara shout out in Friday's episode when EJ was on the phone and thanked Lionel Lockridge and his wife, Augusta?

ALL: Worst re-writes in soaps history
That was such a head scratcher and a disappointment. I thought Brooke and Thorne had amazing chemistry, and after everything she did to be with him, she tossed him aside in all of about one episode...just to get on the Ridge wheel of doom again. It made ZERO sense. And, then, Thorne was left was nothing to do once again.

I will say I virtually stopped watching for about six months, but I have finally been getting back into the show. It does feel more grounded and character-based now. I'm looking forward to all of the (temporary) returns for the anniversary. I know we're supposed to wonder if he's evil or not, but I REALLLY hope that's not the case with Jeremy as the actor feels like such a natural on the show. I'm already over Stephanie's writing career though.

I knew it was short-term but it was so great to see ES back on a soap again. I'll be sad to see her leave. I have to say, when it comes to male eye-candy, I think GH is at the top of the soap list these days.

I'm so glad she's okay! I met her once at a conference about 12 or 13 years ago. She was so sweet and really took time to talk to me for a few minutes and take multiple pictures. I'll always be a Maggie fan after that.

I reallllllly hope Jeremy is reformed. The actor is such a natural fit on the show and is more eye candy to boot. Plus, we needed more Hortons.

B&B: October 2025 Discussion Thread
Zende has often gotten the short end of the stick for most of the character's run. They started...and of course, dropped...a story with him becoming jealous of RJ getting all the attention. That would have been a great direction to take the character....have him leave Forrester and start a rival fashion house from the ground up. But, nope. We get Liam and Hope and Ridge dumping Taylor for Brooke for the 1,000th time!

I LOVED the Leslie and Hayley scenes. Hopefully, these two will be forced to mix it up more in the future. Hayley had gotten sooooo boring for me, but she's FINALLY interesting!

So, Li and Shelia are besties now? Make that make sense. Taylor is the WORST doctor. They could have easily had them connect outside of a therapist session and it would have sold much better.

I'm glad RG is getting time to shine. He got such a bad deal at Y&R with Noah. Y&R barely writes for anyone under 50 these days.

They should have the steam room made into a permanent set and have a rotation of the cutie dudes bumping into each other there and having long conversations.

Y&R: Former 'DAYS' actor joins in returning role
This is been a complaint of mine for a long time now. There is almost no "young" in the The Young and the Restless at this point. There's no struggling up and comers that are restless. Everyone is middle-aged and older and already rich. It's such a snore. There needs to be representation for all generations if there's a future for this show. You can feature your vets while preparing the next generation of leads.

TBH...I was getting bored with Hayley. I did suspect she faked her pregnancy, of course, as it was heavily implied. But, she'd been coming off as a naive, clueless little trophy wife. NOW, I can't wait to see what she does next. I think the best part down the road will be having a guy like Bill finding out he'd been played the whole time just because he thought with his nether regions versus his brain. THAT will be fun to see!

B&B: October 2025 Discussion Thread
I caught some of the show for the first time in weeks today while home sick. I think there have been so many missed opportunities with Deke (not surprising with this show). He hadn't been referenced in YEARS before popping up. He should have come back with a grudge against Deacon for not being there for him and meeting Hope for the first time. So many story beats could have been played. Again, ChatGPT could write this show better. Don't even get me started on this Luna mess. It's offensive and downright cartoonish all at the same time. Where do they even go from here, and why would we care? They should have simply had Luna be a bad girl BUT NOT A PSYCHO MURDERER. Then, they could have kept her long-term as the actress, despite this horrible material, plays bad girl well. But, they've written her into an impossible corner at this point. Why Baker didn't arrest her as soon as he saw her was....well...so stupid. I feel like the show has really entered the stage of being a parody of a soap versus a soap like Passions did. It's like it's turned into a SNL parody, like The Californians.

ITA. He's only been on for a short while, but I think he's already the best Theo that they've had. He's incorporated some of Theo's autism behaviors very well and just has a spark about him.

He's very good and looks as if he could really be Vanessa and Doug's son. One soap staple that has always been missing for me with this show is the star-crossed lovers. We still don't have that couple to root for to get together. Tomas and Kat??? Not really. Who are the two people being kept apart? That's what we need in addition to the other stories.

It's been so much fun seeing Erika Sleazak take on a new role. I know it's only for a short time, but I'm still glad we got it. Gio...wow...is he a cutie, or what? Emma and he make a great pair. It's amazing how easily Rory Gibson has so effectively taken over the role of Michael. Shows just how bad the writing was for him on Y&R.

To me, these are two characters who should obviously be on the show, especially if Arianna is really going to have a Horton connection. I'm not sure if she's really interacted with that side of her family hardly at all...if at all. I've always felt like Lucas should be on the show even if it's regularly recurring, and Will should be leading storylines....not Leo Stark.
