  1. Someone correct me but I haven't seen ANY mention of DAYS OF OUR LIVES in Peacock's bid to lower their price and get eyeballs to their network. Days is as good as dead. There isn't any cross promotion and no mention of Days coming over from NBC. The vast majority of Days viewers will just think that the show was cancelled and not know that it is on Peacock, who is not promoting the show. This has been handled so badly from the start. Bye, Days.
  2. It will be interesting to see how NBC "cares" about the show. Will they promote it and let the Days people be on their 5 hours of Today? If NBC cares, they will put Days actors on their first episode of whatever the show replacing Days is called and say hey, we know you expected to see Days Of Our Lives but we have moved to Peacock. (aka Cancelled)
  3. Malone was good in his first run on OLTL after a very shaky start then he sucked at both AW and his second stint at OLTL. He deservedly won 1 Emmy.
  4. Isn't Peacock billions of dollars in the red? They are not making money and subscriptions are not what they expected. Experts are predicting that Peacock's Days (pun intended) are numbered. The few subscriptions that Days may bring to Peacock will not erase Peacock's debt. It's a losing situation all around for Days. I agree with the post above - Peacock should have at least given a free month or two to give time to adjust from NBC to Peacock. Pulling Days off NBC so suddenly and expecting the audience to follow them to a pay service is bad public relations. This was not handled well at all.
  5. If there's anyone who believes that Days will last beyond their current contract and that Days will be successful on Peacock, well. You're delusional.
  6. Sorry, but Anne Heche does not get a pass because she was good on AW 30 years ago or because she was nice to fans and remembered her soap roots. She destroyed a woman's home! Look at the video of Anne's car. Thank GOD she didn't hurt people. She was out of control. I'm sorry she was mentally ill but that is no excuse for putting so many people in harm's way and destroying a home. That woman has a great claim against Anne's estate. I say sue sue sue. A drugged up woman slamming into your house and destroying it? No excuse. ?
  7. Watching today's episode. Days is so bad and boring. It is just whimpering on. Nothing of substance happening. That Li guy is not a good actor. The double date is embarrassing. I truly hope that Corday and Carlivati realize why NBC took the show off their network and moved it to where very few viewers will watch. NBC didn't cancel Days outright. They just moved it to Peacock where it will die very very very very quietly.
  8. Is there any actual story going on right now? I've seen bits and pieces of the last few episodes and nothing seems to be going on. Maura West pushed someone over a castle is about all that I got.
  9. The silence from the Days people says that they were blindsided and they have their legal team combing over that 2 year renewal deal. Could they just move Days over to Peacock without notice? If so, that slipped by the lawyers.
  10. Could not agree more! Memo to the remaining soaps: If Paramount+ (Y&R, B&B) or Hulu (GH) approach you and say 'How'd you like to do a 5 episode experiment'? Run the other way. If you do well (which allegedly the Beyond Salems and Christmas movie did well on Peacock), they'll take you off the major network so fast that your head will spin. For all we say about Ken Corday, I do believe that he had every reason to believe that Days would be on NBC until at least September 2023.
  11. Well when you keep Carlivati and throw Giddens into the mix, Days was bound to fail. Time will tell but a 5 day a week soap streaming is new territory. I'm doubtful that Days will last much beyond what is already contractually negotiated. My guess is that Days will eventually become an occasional Beyond Salem 5 episode arc a couple times a year.
  12. The resurrection of Stefan-O is exactly why soaps are ridiculed.
  13. I miss the old days where we got the demo total viewers. 4 shows tied for first place in Women 18-49 tells us nothing. Which of those 4 shows had the most actual viewers?
  14. TEdgeofNight replied to YRBB's topic in Off Topic Lounge
I had forgotten all about her and today made me want to forget about her all over again. The post its were ridiculous. She should be embarrassed that she went on television today.
  15. Sharon Gabet is a hoot on her social media. She has a great memory. I love that she has been posting all these videos and letting us see how great Edge was back in the day.
  16. Leo cracks me up. Glad to read from Jason that he is on contract. It's probably just a short arc and he'll be gone again but in the meantime I laugh at his one liners.
  17. Finally finished Beyond Salem 2. I was bored after watching the first 2 episodes last week but I gradually got into it. The heaven scenes were corny. Kristian Alfonso looks great and really got into this project. She was wonderful. Peter Reckell is as hot as ever. The chemistry is still there. The flashbacks had me tearing up and of course playing their signature song sent it over the top. With that cliffhanger, I hope there is more to come. Not on the mother show but do a Beyond Salem once or twice a year.
  18. Maureen Bauer was not killed during the blackout week.
  19. Hush on a public forum is not going to work for me. Take your own advice.
  20. I know that I'm quoting it and I don't want him to be here.......but why would you bring Alan Sarapa here? He's the LAST place I'd go to for soap opinions. Not a fan of Jamey. I'd like to enjoy Beyond Salem2, but so far, I don't. Maybe tomorrow.
  21. Couldn't agree more! It's boring, gimmicky, bad production values. Just bad. I'm very disappointed in this. Season 1 was so much better and held your interest. These episodes are just plain BAD.
  22. Alison Sweeney is gold. I can see why Days caters to her schedule and lets her come and go as she pleases. Alison brought it this week. Great acting work.
