  1. Unfortunately, it's just what the soap does. It's unfortunate and they think it's setting the mood, but rarely does it ever.
  2. If Mulcahey is allowed to do what he does, I don't think we'll be disappointed. But if Disney-ABC continues to meddle in the writing as they've done for some time, we're going to get watered down scripts. Sussman came back with a "revenge agenda" and it showed. "Oh they didn't re-hire me before, so I'm going to just undo everything that's been done!" Her arrival interview was so off-putting then and it is even more so now.
  3. It would have made more sense but no... we needed a new character.
  4. Not just you, and it's partially why my friend says he can't get into soaps... the music is too much and too loud.
  5. I concur. Imagine the general American public being choked by the fact an Australian soap won over their "faves" because they actually produced a SOAP! SO much praise for Thursday's episode... whew. SO much praise. It's because Neighbours now produced by Amazon MGM Studios, which is an American-owned and operated company. Therefore, per NATAS rulings, it does qualify for the Daytime Emmys. So, it would make sense, and any soap opera fan should be happy for more soaps to be included. The amount of pull this could bring would be OUTSTANDING!
  6. WHOA! WHAT?! They hit your damn dog? WTAF! Ugh. I hate children. 🤬
  7. Oh see, I liked Livingston in the role and kind of liked that she was the opposite of Arianne Zucker's Nicole. Plus, they claimed she didn't share chemistry with James Scott's EJ and I have to disagree, and in the end... they did not even stick to that dead pairing. And while you call her sweetness "cloying and fake," that easily could have turned into some kind of storyline where it came out that it was a fake façade; we saw when she came back to General Hospital as Rebecca she could possibly play someone more bad-ass, but she wasn't given that chance. And then introducing Jordan a few years later when Chrishell Stause easily could have been another recast Taylor, and keeping ties to the canvas, et al. Decisions are just poorly made.
  8. I agree he got progressively worse, but I wouldn't say he was the ONLY actor.
  9. Even with Michelle Stafford as Nina (never again) you could tell he was hoping for that pairing. 💯 I am over back-from-the-dead storylines, but I concur, re: Justus. It's time to resurrect him as the beginning platform for returning to Ward family to the canvas. And while Maya may be a touchy subject, she could be another easy return. Plus, the return of Maya could bring more attention to the hospital and overtime, the return of Justus could also lead to the impending exit of Diane Miller. For Justus, if they wanted to re-age the role, what about someone like Peter Parros (ex-Ben, World Turns)? Parros worked with Gavin Houston (ex-Zeke), so that could also have some connection in-terms of storyline. Or Lamman Rucker? Parros would be on-age with Phillips, and Rucker would be older than Morrison but also younger than Phillips. And both can still act their asses off, too. But the Wards need to be brought back. And, dare I say it... TJ Ashford easily could have been TJ Hardy Jnr, which would have [again] given Elizabeth some family connection to the canvas.
  10. It's giving me visions of when Natalia Livingston was cast as Taylor and they fired her before she even aired, and it semi-backfired. Another downside of being six-to-eight months ahead tape-to-air (or now tape-to-release).
  11. When I was a child in the '90s, I remember how different things were: playing in the street until the lights came on, knowing that if I walked away from my mother I could be taken, be respectful to my elders and not act like a barn animal. Now? I've seen kids right outside during a snowstorm, playing in a non-lit parking lot with snow plows barreling by (and the parents don't giving two-fücks), children urinating on themselves and the parents blaming the older sibling for it (despite both yelling at their "mommy" to take the child to the bathroom), and then DESTROYING product and fixtures, and when they fall and get hurt, it's OUR fault and it's OUR fault for telling them to "stop running." It's büllshit.
  12. A strong, talented actor wasted in a dead-end role that should've ended months ago. Much like Chloe Lanier and so many others.
  13. It's because they aren't even being raised; television raise them. I see supposed adults come into work, with their children and they just let them act as if it's a zoo-house. Complete lack of parenting and discipline. It's "let's have babies for XYZ."
  14. This storyline would've fared better had it been Donna who had the affair with Katie given their history, re: Rocco.
  15. LOL! I remember this scene, haha.
  16. Re-watching from the beginning... the changes Brooke Logan has gone through makes her a completely different character. But Katherine Kelly Lang still does some decent work in the role.
  17. What the fück was Carly wearing? A nightslip and Ava's shiny pink jacket? Put her back into Bobbie's and leave her there. Immediately. Patrick Mulcahey is needed ASAP! And for God's sake... give Ava Jerome her JEROME back!
  18. Haha. Ken Corday never gave a frick about COVID protocols from the day production began again in 2020.
  19. Oh see, I would take the production of that time back than the one we have now, which at times is still too off-colour. The early days of Gary Tomlin & Christopher Whitesell were good, and I believe that was on the piggybacking of Marlene McPherson & Darrell Ray Thomas, Jnr (a team I much preferred). I believe a lot of that time involved some interfering with Sony Pictures Television due to the return of Eileen Davidson as Kristen. Both the hiring of the new head writers and the firing of Davidson as The Young and the Restless coincided. So that focus was clearly more with Davidson's return than anyone else. Roman... wow. I much prefer this Roman over the bar-tending mutterer we have now.
  20. Port Charles should have been a mob-centric spin-off of General Hospital to free us of the Sonny Corinthos Show.
