  1. I wholeheartedly agree with this post. 100%
  2. Let me preface this: I am not upset with the decision to recast. And I do not fault Adam Harrington for this decision, either. He's a fine actor who I am sure will do fine in the role for whatever time he's been hired for. Also, Harrington, to me, would likely be better suited for a Jax recast than a Jagger one. However.... like many, you cannot tell me this was the right selection out of everyone that was available? And again, it is zero disserve to Harrington, who I know will do fine in the role. But it does leave my head-scratching. But this soap semi-did the same thing in the 1990's with the character's sister. Hmm.... someone like Justin Baldoni (although he is younger) would have been an ace of a choice, or even Jordi Vilasuso. I don't know... this is a head-scratching decision, but again... I support the decision to recast the role.
  3. Haha exactly, which is also why I said IF. But, at the same time, Brenda is one of those characters that you know at some point will return. It's just a matter of when and for what reason.
  4. Haha NO! I wouldn't do that. Tognoni is still prime Skye for me, although, I do have other ideas for that role's recast. Brenda, for me, should not be a role that is recast. Either Vanessa Marcil can pop-in for a limited-run guest return or another one-year tenure. IF and I do mean a major IF Brenda were to be recast it would be a daunting task, and one I would not wish on a single soul. I'm with you for a varying amount of reasons!
  5. Happy he's back, even if only for a visit. However, I have been assuming a recast would be happening if they wanted Cameron to stick around.
  6. The head writing team was Maria Arena, Hogan Sheffer & Scott Hamner.
  7. Semi-me. When Mal Young left I tuned out, and only tuned in upon the announcement of celebrations / returns, etc. and the allure just... fades.
  8. Well, maybe more-so edgy or what the scripts were trying to sell as edgy. I remember her confronting Elizabeth over her affair, and while not as satisfying as Lulu, it did serve its purpose.
  9. Sorry but I wholeheartedly disagree. Her interview with TV Insider reads as a disgruntled, estranged family member coming back to get what they feel they've been entitled to. AND her tenure read like it, too.
  10. All depends; when it was first announced he would be doing Monsters, a spokesperson said they'd be welcoming him back. But, TPTB could use this break as the "out" in his deal, which is [supposedly] done later this year. Either way, he's definitely exiting the role.
  11. 💯 I would've done more, but that's the Irish-Italian in me, haha.
  12. People really have no consideration; had it been me, I would've thrown the ball right back at the kid's face. Fück that shît.
  13. Unfortunately, it's just what the soap does. It's unfortunate and they think it's setting the mood, but rarely does it ever.
  14. If Mulcahey is allowed to do what he does, I don't think we'll be disappointed. But if Disney-ABC continues to meddle in the writing as they've done for some time, we're going to get watered down scripts. Sussman came back with a "revenge agenda" and it showed. "Oh they didn't re-hire me before, so I'm going to just undo everything that's been done!" Her arrival interview was so off-putting then and it is even more so now.
  15. It would have made more sense but no... we needed a new character.
  16. Not just you, and it's partially why my friend says he can't get into soaps... the music is too much and too loud.
  17. I concur. Imagine the general American public being choked by the fact an Australian soap won over their "faves" because they actually produced a SOAP! SO much praise for Thursday's episode... whew. SO much praise. It's because Neighbours now produced by Amazon MGM Studios, which is an American-owned and operated company. Therefore, per NATAS rulings, it does qualify for the Daytime Emmys. So, it would make sense, and any soap opera fan should be happy for more soaps to be included. The amount of pull this could bring would be OUTSTANDING!
  18. WHOA! WHAT?! They hit your damn dog? WTAF! Ugh. I hate children. 🤬
  19. Oh see, I liked Livingston in the role and kind of liked that she was the opposite of Arianne Zucker's Nicole. Plus, they claimed she didn't share chemistry with James Scott's EJ and I have to disagree, and in the end... they did not even stick to that dead pairing. And while you call her sweetness "cloying and fake," that easily could have turned into some kind of storyline where it came out that it was a fake façade; we saw when she came back to General Hospital as Rebecca she could possibly play someone more bad-ass, but she wasn't given that chance. And then introducing Jordan a few years later when Chrishell Stause easily could have been another recast Taylor, and keeping ties to the canvas, et al. Decisions are just poorly made.
  20. I agree he got progressively worse, but I wouldn't say he was the ONLY actor.
  21. Even with Michelle Stafford as Nina (never again) you could tell he was hoping for that pairing. 💯 I am over back-from-the-dead storylines, but I concur, re: Justus. It's time to resurrect him as the beginning platform for returning to Ward family to the canvas. And while Maya may be a touchy subject, she could be another easy return. Plus, the return of Maya could bring more attention to the hospital and overtime, the return of Justus could also lead to the impending exit of Diane Miller. For Justus, if they wanted to re-age the role, what about someone like Peter Parros (ex-Ben, World Turns)? Parros worked with Gavin Houston (ex-Zeke), so that could also have some connection in-terms of storyline. Or Lamman Rucker? Parros would be on-age with Phillips, and Rucker would be older than Morrison but also younger than Phillips. And both can still act their asses off, too. But the Wards need to be brought back. And, dare I say it... TJ Ashford easily could have been TJ Hardy Jnr, which would have [again] given Elizabeth some family connection to the canvas.
  22. It's giving me visions of when Natalia Livingston was cast as Taylor and they fired her before she even aired, and it semi-backfired. Another downside of being six-to-eight months ahead tape-to-air (or now tape-to-release).
