  1. There is a clear direction they need to take, and they won't do it. If they want a classic team, I would suggest pairing Edward J. Scott & David Shaughnessy as co-executive producers. I hate to say it... but a primetime producer would TANK this soap. The fans of Young seem very... set in their ways (way more than other soaps I would say), so bringing in a primetime heavyweight would be reminiscent of Mal Young being hired. Jill Farren Phelps was tasked with bringing Young into the 21st century and modernize it, and it backfired worse than anything I've seen in daytime in recent memory. Modern does not work at this soap, and it won't ever. Fans will not allow it. If it were me, and I doubt this to happen⏤I would find a way to bring Wendy Riche on, even if for a one-year tenure, to restructure things. She talked to William J. Bell when she took over General Hospital and her POV could really be influential on this soap. I believe it. Her work on The Bay is example of that. I don't suspect former writers would return, either, and if they did it would have to be Kay Alden, and I don't see her returning, so we'd have to go new. I'd like to see the likes of Marlene McPherson & Darrell Ray Thomas Jnr, or even McPherson and her former All My Children co-head writer Elizabeth Snyder come aboard. This soap needs some female influence bad. Plus, Snyder worked on Bold from 2003 to 2010 so she has some slight idea of a Bell soap.
  2. When it comes to external drives / hardware, new is best, IMHO. Or verified refurbished.
  3. I will have to check it out, thanks so much!!! 🥰
  4. Quite interesting; thanks so much for the explanation and back story; it's very much appreciated! 🥰
  5. I'd much prefer if they'd put A Very Salem Christmas back on Peacock with the uncensored outtake. LOL.
  6. Oh completely; I was unaware James Harmon Brown & Barbara Esensten were behind the return of Jesse; I was just getting into All My Children at this point, honestly, but it was nice seeing a "classic" couple reunite in a then-modern time. Those like Brown & Esensten just don't exist much anymore. Have hopes that Mulcahey may be able to do something alike this on General Hospital at some point in 2024. And I've heard some good things concerning the Loving murders (was it also called the Corinth murders?).
  7. Pratt couldn't explain his way out of that way; it made no sense, no matter how good it felt for Jesse to be back.
  8. Cast seem to be on hiatus so that could explain some erratic filming right now. They did the same thing at the end of 2023 prior to holiday break.
  9. Yup. As much as fans seemed to do dislike Angelica McDaniel she kept shït tight, and made sure if things were not working, she'd knock 'em back into place. Sony won't fire him so long as Steve Kent is there. The "boys club" can't be broken.
  10. DEPTH, DRAMA, INTENSITY! Who would have thought 28 years later we'd be left with BORING, LOOSE & RANDOM.
  11. Oh now; what's happening with them?
  12. I doubt it; it sounds like it was a quick pop-in and done. Morgan assumed the last-minute airfare by agreeing to the appearance. Harsh to say but it's just how it is, unfortunately. If she were that worried I assume she would have declined the appearance. 😐 Such is life as a recurring player. It's likely why Jess Walton does a lot of Zoom appearances: she isn't paying for the airfare of a small guest spot.
  13. They wouldn't. They'd body-shame them in script and then fire them once they were done (ie: Sean Kanan, Adrianne León)
  14. I am sure she got a standard recurring/guest pay. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  15. My guess is a dayplayer that did not work out, so they went to Morgan to come on.
  16. That's my hope, too, though, I'd prefer to see Mann (and some others) on other soaps that I watch and can support. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  17. I have severe PTSD from both that interview and that regime. I shutter at it. But I agree: this is the first time a name we have not heard in a while ⏤ yet is a name we all wanted to hear ⏤ be associated with being brought on as a head writer. Plus, Patrick Mulcahey has history with General Hospital, so that is an even better situation than we could have asked for. I, too, wonder who else may have been considered. I am sure Elizabeth Korte was the choice, given AfterBuzz's report she came in as an interim choice while selection(s) were being made, and maybe that interim period made them believe she could stay on. Ultimately, I am happy to see a female name in a head writing position. And while not the name I would have wanted, it's nice to see, and feel like the right decision(s) are being made. I'm most worried about Disney-ABC Television shooting things down as they've done for the past two or three regimes, but, I have some kind of faith, in knowing the kind of writer Mulcahey is (he is no "yes" man), that they know who they've hired and what's about to come. You don't hire THE Patrick Mulcahey and try to micromanage him. Let his wings spread free, and allow him to do what he does best.
  18. She saw Patrick Mulcahey going to General Hospital and clearly said, "I'm out of this crapshoot! BYE!"
