  1. Video was meh to me; didn't really provide anything we didn't already know, and their opinions were kind of... meh to me.
  2. I feel like under the "writer" he's been tossed around, with a prayer he'll "stick" to something... hopefully the new regime have fixed that.
  3. It's like that at every single soap, though. You kiss the hand that feeds you until it doesn't anymore. I can only recall a small handful of actors who've talked in a not-so-glimmering light about their head writers while in the regime.
  4. I know she is... but we also know how "recurring" plays at the Bell soaps, so.......
  5. Quite disappointing, actually. Sad that TPTB made this move. I like her as Abby. Hoping she continues to film beyond what she's already filmed.
  6. Colleen & Ray back?! WOW!
  7. For as much problems as this damn soap has... sets is not one of them.
  8. Her casting, really, was never confirmed by GH... and it was announced on September 10. So it hasn't been that long. It likely feels longer, because of Emme Rylan announcing they were recasting, etc.
  9. It is the Port Charles Surf Lodge, which resembles the set from TOLN's One Life to Live. And the other set is Brown Dog Bar.
  10. UD_nathanowens__3500570380849585705_11_13_2024.mp4 Nathan Owens (ex-Cameron, DAYS) is at CBS Television Studios as of one-hour ago. Could he be joining Y&R as Damien, Nate's half-brother and Amy Lewis' son? A casting call, reported by SoapHub, called for a "Black male in his early to mid-40s" for a potential three-year contract who is "tall and handsome," and Owens fits the bill. He is 40 years old, and is 6' 2", per his Wilhelmina profile.
  11. Credits for Wednesday, November 13, 2024: Created by: Frank & Doris Hursley Executive producer: Frank Valentini Head writers: Elizabeth Korte, Chris Van Etten Writers: Suzanne Flynn, Scott Sickles, Anne Schoettle Director: Allison Reames Smith
  12. I think, at this point, people really need to put the idea of ABC reviving either of them to rest. I don't see it happening. At all.
  13. I wouldn't be upset about that. To me, All My Children had the best high definition production model of the then-six daytime soaps. But, it was also a very ABC production model I don't see fitting on CBS, if that makes sense..
  14. Nighttime, via green screen, looks much more natural than the daytime. Also, using less of it is smart, as well.
  15. I agree; in both photos and videos, of the studio and its grounds, as well as other shows that have shot there, it looks capable for so much to be done. AND it looks like the studio grounds themselves are built for filming, so that's promising!! I really like what Neighbours has continued to do, via Amazon MGM Studios, despite my displeasure for how their post-production has been (very green in the 2023 season, but the 2024 season has improved slightly). I'm praying for a proper 4K UHD production. Yes, CBS only airs in 1080p, but imagine the episodes going to Paramount+ in 4K UHD? That would be supremely amazing!! I agree, and I fully believe that's why I do believe is part of the reason they went to Atlanta. New studio, new assets and technologies to use. It's going to be amazing. I just know it.
  16. Back during Shelly Altman's time, I remember her exit interview, where she said there were "sensitivity issues" to some storylines (ie: Aiden's sexuality) that caused [some] things to be paused and nixed. ❝ Digest: Are there stories you wish you had another crack at? Altman: Oh, yes, for sure. What I regret most are the stories that we aborted because of some trepidation, stories that may have been controversial and because of pressure that came from various places, we put a pin in them. For example, I feel we did not do justice to the story of Aiden’s sexuality. There were many sensitivity issues there. I do feel that was a story we did not see to its fullest realization, and I regret that. Similarly, there was a story that we pitched and we started when Julian was in prison. He was beaten up; we saw someone with tattoos all over him. We were going to tell a story about Julian and others having to fight against a white supremacy group. That was all that was on the air, and then it was never told. Again, there were questions, there were concerns, which I understand, but I personally regret not fighting more for stories I believed in that I thought were important to tell. ❞
  17. Same. People pan the UK model for not feeling soapy, but it absolutely IS soapy. Just don't think they're watching the right soap. Plus, UK soaps have permanent sets, so they're able to do more. Find me a clip that matches the production quality EastEnders has presented us: And TOLN production model was very mirroring of what Hollyoaks does but cheaper-looking. Realistically, production is going to look different. It's a CBS soap producing in Atlanta. CBS always had a specific vision for their daytime soaps. And some primetime / streaming series filmed at Assembly: And some of the façades and overall spaces at Assembly, which they say are all filmable: Honestly, they lucked out landing Assembly Studios.
  18. It's very depressing; the only changes we've received this year are a writing change, and then a half-reversal of that change. I cannot recall a same-year writing change, or a change like that in recent years. As hands-in as I fully believe Disney-ABC Television are... I also question where their hands are. It should be starting at the top, with Frank Valentini & Nathan Varni, and then at the entire writing staff. This should be goal for 2025 at this point.
  19. I vote no because it looks cheap, boorish and really bad.
  20. @Errol Thank you for your wonderful interviews!!!
