I mean, it's very clear Ava was poised to be written off, based on how they were writing her. Either that, or a major dark return to the Jerome crime family world. And I think after being involved with the Kristina-baby drama, it would have made a major "Whodunnit" storyline for the murder of Ava Jerome. And, with Mulcahey out and Van Etten in, I feel like it was swapped to Cates and we got what we got: a shitshow.

West can and does sell anything and everything given to her. She turns shït into GOLD! My theory? Cates' murder was meant to be Ava's murder, and it was a swap-out at some point. that's just my theory on that.

That's downright nasty behaviour. And storyline-wise, turning Laura & Luke into a love story. Never should have happened.

Which, to me, is ridiculous. The fandom kicked-off before they were even paired together and they were paired, they were together for all of five minutes, lmao. Shows no faith Frank and company have in themselves. Utter trash. I'm often wondering this, myself.

He could have been a decent Spencer but I don't think he commands the presence I do believe the role requires. Plus, it feels like the Cassadine era of GH is on pause. Nikolas is in jail (with occasional visits), Valentin & Charlotte are gone (YAY), and Alexis barely acts like a Cassadine. It's clear the Spencer side of Laura's children is their focus, and Cameron would've fit into that mold. Gio just feels like the character that has no sense of direction outside of occasionally playing violin, and now being the grown-up male Violet.

The historian must've been sleeping that day. 🤣 The character is Gio, to me, is pointless casting of Giovanni Mazza. Mazza, while green (to me), would have fair more suited a Cameron Webber recast than another retconned family member. I do think the plan was to put Gio with Trina, but they got scared off from the pairing. Such a shame, too, because I felt like both Mazza & Tabyana Ali had that spark between them that could have ignited.

And then quite literally said, without naming Frank, by stated they either don't have the expertise or have the team behind them to produce lightning in a bottle. This is what GH needs.
