  1. I can see why those wouldn't be interested in the Cindy storyline, but since her return, I have been really invested in it and find it outstandingly juicy and soapy. And the "vote in" is exciting to me. Especially in knowing the cast have worked double-time to film outcomes of both post-live and that material shot will not see the day. That's intriguing, especially when we have one American soap block-taping scenes to cut corners/budget/timing. It's brilliant. I can see why some would feel that way. It is sad, but I try to separate real vs. reel. I know [some] either don't do that or just wish to see those kinds of storylines play out on their stories (not assuming you as one of them), but I do think it's being done in such a particular way that it feels it is being done right, especially in comparison to how Alzheimer's had been handled at GH. Love me some Nicola Mitchell; a true female boss that I enjoy seeing whenever she is on. Absolutely juicy. Of course I hope her health is well; I've often thought about it, so if my own comments came off as not worrying, then I do apologise. I just think a soap that can produce the stories they've got coming up and the set expansion they're under could dish out some funds for some realistic, lacefronted wigs for Dean to wear while filming. I agree; a real nice touch.
  2. See, I completely disagree. The Phil storyline may be the frontrunner, but I can't name a single storyline I'm not enjoying right now. My continued biggest complaint are the shït wigs Letitia Dean wears.

  4. The American soaps that celebrated their recent anniversaries should be looking at EastEnders right now, as they have not missed a single beat.
  5. It's already been a long year, and we're halfway through February. I'm ready to cry, but am thankful for Beyond the Gates coming to save me.
  6. I agree but disagree at the same time; looking at BTG in comparison to B&B/Y&R, I can tell how much more has gone into it, production/writing wise, and how much stronger it overall looks in comparison.
  7. Closeup work is likely due to how Instagram has cropped the video.
  8. Only Beyond the Gates looks worth it. Plus, [some] cast are in Washington, D.C. right now for the show's press!
  9. Trailer for the second part of Tyler Perry's Beauty in Black, featuring Debbi Morgan (ex-Angie, AMC et al).
  10. If this lasts two weeks, it'd go pretty into the majority of the opening week for the serial. Oy vey.
  11. Casey Moss (JJ), on set with Matthew Ashford (Jack) & Melissa Reeves (Jennifer), in what appears to possibly be a cast photo shoot in preparation for the 60th anniversary this fall?! This would be their first cast shoot since 2020, and their first since transitioning from NBC to Peacock in 2022.
  12. Credits for Thursday, February 13, 2025: Created by: Frank & Doris Hursley Executive producer: Frank Valentini Head writers: Elizabeth Korte, Chris Van Etten Writers: Emily Culliton, Stacey Pulwer, Cathy Lepard Director: Allison Reames Smith
  13. Is it worrisome? Only in the slightest. I know here that TV38 (WSBK) only airs soaps if WBZ-TV is in the middle of a major news break (and we get noted ahead of it's going to be on the affiliate channel).
  14. Is currently filming a film where he is married to a woman., a first for him in a project. Would welcome a return to DAYS as he misses the whole cast and does not think he'll be invited back to Y&R anytime soon, as he's not on "their radar". Told the Y&R publicist that Fen being gay felt "forced," not realizing it until he got the script, and said it did not feel organic to the role; it felt like a "thing they did" to the character, but also noted it could have been hinted at prior to his time in the role (ie: Max Ehrich). Y&R: close with Sasha Colle, Camryn Grimes, Loren Lott & Melissa Ordway DAYS: close with Emily O'Brien & Greg Rikaart. Has heard about Beyond the Gates and had no idea The Talk had ended. Had only heard about Gates via press releases and noted Mike Manning being on it and acknowledged it was a predominately Black cast soap, which he praised. Is all for more soaps on television.
  15. It's so sad what's happening to her. Saw the horrid Lifetime "documentary," as well as the TMZ feature. It's just... so sad.
  16. It was bumped to 9am, because of Rachael Ray's talk show debut in 2006. And then, if I remember, Ray's talk show moved to 9am (briefly), and Let's Make a Deal resumed the original 10am time slot. I believe several markets had Guiding Light on at 9am, as well.
  17. That's insane. 🤣 I remember when GL moved on hour here near the end. From 10am to 9am, I believe?
  18. That makes the most sense; I am sure it helps [several] did either live in Atlanta or did relocate for the show, but for some (with families) it might not have been viable. Thanks for the further explanation, Errol! You're on top of it, and it's much appreciated. 🥰
  19. I am fairly certain Beyond the Gates is three months tape-to-air. I noticed on one actor's IG Stories a script for "May 2025," which would still place them at three months tape-to-air, which I think is a fair place to be, especially for a new soap opera.
  20. Ah, that makes sense; thanks for explaining. It's always kind of fascinated me how things don't air at the same time across the same network. Ah, those pesky timezones/affiliates, etc. Looking it up, my station (WCVB-TV, channel 5) is affiliated with ABC but owned by Hearst Television. Nothing was more confusing than when NBC ditched WHDH (channel 7) for their own network, NBC10 Boston; eight years later, and it still feels wrong. 🤣
