  1. Credits for Wednesday, December 18, 2024: Created by: Frank & Doris Hursley Executive producer: Frank Valentini Head writers: Chris Van Etten, Elizabeth Korte Writers: Emily Culliton, Cathy Lepard, Anne Schoettle Director: Gary Tomlin
  2. All it was was the Fairmont Crest Country Club gates opening, Anita saying "Welcome to Fairmont Crest," with the clip from the promo/opening of the gloved woman, that shot above, Dani with a the golf club, and then "BEYOND THE GATES NEW DAYTIME SERIES PREMIERES CBS MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24".
  3. Alternative promo aired during The Young and the Restless today.
  4. I don't think so, since they did those random "classic" episodes in packs of 100. Plus, their "live" channel had episodes from 2010/2011 mixed into it.
  5. Oh, absolute. A true case of multiple evils, adding in Frank Valentini & Nathan Varni, both of whom should be removed from their present positions.
  6. It's what Van Etten (and Korte/Valentini/Varni) do best. Glad I'm not the only one but whenever O'Connor's name was listed first in-episode credits, I knew we'd have something a bit more to watch.
  7. Girls5eva, which stars Renée Elise Goldsberry (ex-Evangeline Williamson, OLTL) has been canceled by Netflix.
  8. If I had to guess, it's because of how different the theme was in comparison to what it had always been. And, if I know one thing about Y&R audiences, is they hate change. But it's the first opening I ever recall watching, so.... I love it. And the fact the end of the jazzier theme is still used in mid-show bumpers is exciting. I'd love for it to come back!
  9. I'm still wondering why they're going to YouTube and not Amazon?
  10. Pretty sure Mark Teschner confirmed, in an interview, Mazza auditioned for another role (which he did not get) so Frank Valentini created the role of Gio so he could hire him, anyway.
  11. See, for me, I don't hate the opening for General Hospital. DId I prefer the 2012–2019 opening? Yes. But the problem is how inconsistent they are in updating it. Plus, I don't think the template they use is meant to house 24 cast images (which are horribly cropped and overly saturated). The current opening for The Young and the Restless wouldn't be so cheesy if the turns were so close, they used the jazzier 1999–2003 opening, and used the backdrop of the mid-show bumpers. Plus, they don't even update them, which is why the 2003–2017 is what would still work best. What we ordered: What showed up: What showed up years later when you re-ordered: This is why I'd love a cast-less opening (although, if the shots in the teaser are for an opening, I'm okay with it) with an overview of Fairmont Estates.
  12. She would be the only one in the lineup I'd want to see! She is a creative the medium is truly missing.
  13. It's what Chris Van Etten does best: repeat shït. That's why I always preferred Dan O'Connor in that writing "team".
  14. Nor should they. It's a nice song but not worth the money.
  15. Credits for Tuesday, December 17, 2024: Created by: Frank & Doris Hursley Executive producer: Frank Valentini Head writers: Elizabeth Korte, Chris Van Etten Writers: Nigel Campbell, Charlotte Gibson, Anne Schoettle Director: Denise Van Cleave
  16. It really is! Considering outlets like the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Deadline Hollywood, the Hollywood Reporter, TheWrap, TV Insider, TVLine and Variety, as well as the usual soap-focused media outlets. And I have noticed Blavity, a digital media company and website based in Los Angeles targeting black millennials, and Blex Media, have also reported on the serial.
  17. This has been my point from the beginning: Mazza would have been an adequate Cameron recast. As talented as William Lipton? No. But he would have done fine in the role. But I get it: Frank and company wanted to leave the door wide-open for Lipton's return stints.
  18. Gio was created for the sole purpose that Frank Valentini wanted to hire Giovanni Mazza, which is not only stupid, but a waste of contractual money. Killing him off before this poorly-executed/all-too-hinted retcon Brook Lynn/Dante child becomes legitimate is the only thing to do. Kill him, give him a two-second funeral and move TF on with other stories. His never-ending serial killer smile and violin can go with him.
  19. Considering how widespread media sites were for the casting, I can imagine it'll be something worth while. And likely some local news appearances in the Atlanta area.
  20. Nah. Gio can be killed and never return. Either way, cutting him wouldn't cause discourse to the canvas at all. The never-ending smiling can stop. Nice guy (actor), but totally a waste of money.
