  1. Tracey Bregman sounds SUPER stuffed up in clips from the 80s and early 90s.
  2. Jeannne Cooper claimed that at one time the Chancellor mansion was the most expensive set built for daytime. It looks so tiny now but I'm sure in the 70s compared to the Hughes living room or something it looked huge.
  3. The story flopped on Y&R (Paul and Christine, pristine paragons of virtue were ill-suited for it), ruined Paul's character to this day yet it was repeated a few years later on ATWT with Jessica and Marshall. I'll never understand why.
  4. Raped twice and another attempted rape. Not to mention having several men lusting after her at a time.
  5. I'm so offended Victoria Rowell and Tonya Lee Williams had to share an onscreen credit. I don't remember Danny being back long enough to get with Chris and move in with her. He wasn't around very long (and he was new to me at this time and I didn't like him at all).
  6. I always rooted for Jack, mostly because I think Eric Braeden is a bad actor (I've come to accept that the Newmans are largely mediocre acting wise) and there was Peter Bergman constantly giving 110%.
  7. Peter Bergman was so handsome, his eyes are almost an unnatural blue. I totally get why there's such a divide between fans of his version and Terry Lester's (PB is definitely more matinee idol while TL's is more wily playboy). But I saw a LOT of Bergman's interpretation while watching the aftermath of John finding out about Jack and Jill's affair. That little boy who just wants his dad to forgive him is absolutely how PB's version would have reacted, he wears his heart on his sleeve 100% of the time compared to Lester's 60% of the time.
  8. Thanks @FrenchFan and @kalbir, that's a shame.
  9. Fabulous scene. When exactly did Brenda Dickson start acting like a nutter? She's incredible here.
  10. Finally! I hope they don't avoid material with Ronn Moss.
  11. He looks like a 50-something year old white man who gets a lot of sun. Y'all are being extra.
  12. Sharon Case, god love her, is still very stilted now. I find her to be a very self-conscious actress.
  13. That was great! I think it's much better with fewer people. MEK, Cady and John all ended up tearing up recounting fan encounters and various soap memories. And MEK looks great! Better than he did at the end of AMC that's for sure. I liked when MEK said his favorite material wasn't the on-the-run stuff but the domestic work with Tad and Dixie raising Junior and Jamie while trying to keep their love alive.
  14. Michael E. Knight is talking about David Canary and I'm trying not to cry.
  15. They definitely had something going on before that. He said "you liked it before Mrs. Abbott" after he she told him to stop feeling her up but Jill was like "Not anymore", then she ordered him out of her room. I just watched the scene two days ago.
  16. Doug Davidson: Bill [Bell, Y&R’s co-creator, head writer, and senior executive producer] was a master at building to a climax like the honeymoon and from there it would break off into three or four different stories. Characters would go onto different rivers of their own. There wasn’t really a let down after a climax. It was like going to a different altitude. PRECISELY. That was the beauty of Y&R, when one story was crescendo-ing another was just revving up and another was barely off the ground. It was magic.
  17. Lol I couldn't resist, I read that. Thanks. I saw what happened between them, apparently he'd been servicing her for some time until she got the divorce and came into some power with her settlement. Suddenly she rejected his advances and got him fired. He went to her room afterward and tried to reason with her, instead she called security. Jill was just being plain mean about the whole thing, I can't blame him. I will say it feels a little lazy to make him the culprit but that's to be expected of most shootings/murder mysteries on soaps. It's usually someone expendable.
  18. Dangit I thought I'd read years ago that it was Kay! I remember thinking to myself "They must've worked overtime to get her out of that one". Thanks, don't tell me!
  19. I'm somewhere in 85, Jill has just been shot (and Brenda's acting is alL OVer THe plACe) and I can't remember, who shot her? I think it was Kay (she's the only viable suspect so far), how'd she get away with it?
  20. Ah, all that baby Cabot nonsense turned me off the show so I'd stopped watching by then.
  21. Was she on trial here for Carly, Rose and Emily's kidnappings?
  22. So is Carly on GH, I just personally think they were bad for their respective shows. ATWT's Carly less so but even still...I found her very grating (Maura's acting style is not my cup of tea).
