Would Bill fake a stroke in order to manipulate Naomi?

Bill is being a creepy as$h0le to try to manipulate Naomi that way. The charm laid on like he's the nice guy, but he's not.

I thought Julie Hanan Carruthers was there to help coordinate some of the production stuff. . . . The legal meetings in the diner and in the OPPOSING COUNSEL's office? wtf?

Just me declaring for myself (not in response to other posts.) I self-identify as a fan (not stan) of Elizabeth, not "Liz". (just me being picky with her name, but I am willing to be flexible if needed.) I am a fan (not stan) of the Lucky&Elizabeth pairing but... I personally will *NEVER* call them "L&L2". I totally reject the original L&L (Luke and Laura) pairing, I reject them in every way due to the rape history. So therefore I personally will never associate Lucky&Elizabeth as second to those initials. Thus they are simply "Lucky and Elizabeth" or "Elizabeth and Lucky" to me, and I don't need a smoosh name/initials for them.

Perhaps there will be separate reveals about Martin and about Eva. Or perhaps it's all been one single convoluted story from many years ago. Or, more likely, two (or more!) separate stories that are all becoming parts of one umbrella story. For me, the best part, is that I have no idea what will be revealed!

Oh Illia is from Reston! I didn't realize the Russian Federation had been banned, but I understand the ban due to Ukraine. So sad all around. Yes Ilia's win and his quads were indeed a huge moment. Indeed a needed moment of joy.

One Life to Live Tribute Thread
I saw very little of Viki's daughter Megan. I knew of her from recaps and articles and some clips, and occasional viewing, but that's all. I honestly don't remember anything of what I read back then except that she died or something, but I don't remember how. Really nothing. (I could look it up easily of course, just saying she's not something I know offhand) I know there was some weird heaven storyline but I wasn't watching then, I just remember hearing it discussed/mentioned elsewhere. I don't have the urge to look it up right now. Busy day today. I've seen the actress Jessica Tuck on other shows and can easily recognize her from those shows, but I know her more from the other shows than from OLTL.

Thanks. I had never heard of her, so I had to check and found this: https://www.soapcentral.com/one-life-to-live/whoswho/andy.php Absolutely nothing in that soapcentral bio is familar. Must have been one of the long periods I didn't watch. I had no idea until just now that Jake and Max had a sister. Looked at some pics elsewhere. I don't recognize either actress.

So interesting to see the original that it was compared with. I wasn't watching during some of that time, so I don't think I ever saw that faces opening, or if I did, I didn't pay attention. I'm most familiar with the original fireplace opening. I sort of remember the the sunrise opening, but it wasn't as iconic as the fireplace to me. Re: the faces opening: I recognize most of those characters/actors, but not all. So lovely to see Erin Torpey. She's the only Jessica I acknowledge. Who's the policewoman character?

Richard Chamberlain came out in 2003 with an autobiography "Shattered Love". He did this interview on the Today Show after it was published- RIP: In Memoriam Thread
Wesley Eure was on DAYS 1974-1981. In 2009, Wesley Eure came out in "After Elton". Eure said that while he was on DAYS, he'd been involved with Richard Chamberlain. They double dated with Patty Weaver and her husband, and the cast and crew knew. Eure said that after they broke up, he was crying in his DAYS dressing room. https://web.archive.org/web/20130131073921/http://www.afterelton.com/people/2009/6/wesleyeure?page=0%2C2 Richard Chamberlain starred in King Solomon's Mines (1985) as "Allan Quatermain" (two L's in Allan, no "e" on end of Quartermain). Same name as the character in the 1885 novel upon which the movie was based. The movie was released one hundred years after the novel. Chamberlain also starred in the sequel movie "Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold" (1986). In that second film, actor Martin Rabbett appeared as Robeson Quatermain. Martin Rabbett became Richard Chamberlain's longterm life love/partner. March 30, 2025: Here is a new detailed article by the "Today Show" about their relationship, which includes a statement from Rabbett about Chamberlain's passing. This article contains much more than what was in the initial Variety obituary. https://www.today.com/popculture/richard-chamberlain-martin-rabbett-partner-rcna198775- ALL: General Retro Soap Discussion
March 28, 2025: Stephanie Sloane interviews Daniel Cosgrove. Cosgove says a little bit about each of some of the series that he's appeared in. AMC, "Beverly Hills 90210", GL, ATWT, DAYS, Billions, "You", "And Just Like That". https://www.remindmagazine.com/article/27762/daniel-cosgrove-general-hospital-all-my-children-guiding-light/- DAYS/Y&R: Casting Shocker!!
As of April 1, 2025, Billy Flynn is (apparently?) still filming at DAYS. They did some April Fools Day instagrams of the actors in the hair-and-makeup chairs, and he was included. (Link) But of course I don't know for sure when that was filmed, but it seemed current.- BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread

March 27, 2025: Genie Francis, interviewed by Stephanie Sloane. Genie says a little bit about each of some of the primetime, daytime, and miniseries that she's appeared in. https://www.remindmagazine.com/article/27693/general-hospital-genie-francis-luke-laura-days-of-our-lives/ Regarding her role as Brett Main, on the North and South miniseries, Books 1 and 2, (1985 and 1986) ... “I have nothing but joy when I think of it, and I just did the other day. It’s the biggest production value that I’ve ever had a part in, and I remember all of the prep that we had to go through — I had, like, 26 changes in those dresses. I worked with Johnny Cash, who could only work for two days, so I worked 24 hours consecutively with him. We were in Reader, Arkansas, because that’s where the trains were and he was playing the abolitionist, John Brown. “We were up all night, and I remember at one point, I was sitting on those silly little chairs they give you, and I woke up because I was passed out and my neck was hurting and I’ve got this bonnet on my head that’s tied around my chin. That was the hardest day of work I’ve ever put in in my life, because it was literally 24 hours long and I was in a corset and wigs and all that regalia, and with Johnny Cash. So, when I woke up suddenly in my chair, I looked over at him, and he had this sort of stone face when he looked at me, like, ‘Poor kid.’ I think he probably felt bad, but he didn’t really want to say anything, but he stayed up all night with me. “Jean Simmons was my mom and Patrick Swayze, who played my big brother [Orry Main], was extremely big brotherly with me in real life. He taught me some stuff about dancing, and he was so encouraging and so wonderful. I think one of the best scenes I’ve ever played in my life, I played in that show with Patrick, when she goes to her brother and he smacks her in the face, and she says, ‘That’s it, I’m out of here.’ That was one of the best things I’ve ever done. I have that on my reel, actually, from years ago. It was just great. We learned how to dance in that period of time; we all took lessons together as a cast. I learned how to ride a horse and ride side saddle. And then in Part 2, I had to jump on the back of the horse, bareback. Looking back on it, I’m glad I did. It’s all very exciting.”- GH: April 2025 Discussion Thread
The Nurses Ball was originally created years ago as a fundraiser for AIDS/HIV research/patient care. Now Sidwell is going to be the sole fund-contributor of the 2025 Nurses Ball? He'd better not be homophobic. (I mean I don't want a homophobic character anyhow, but especially for this). The Nurses Ball has become some weird glitzy thing with a red carpet and sequined gowns and professional dancers as extras. It seems so far from its roots.- Bare Essence (1982-83)

Genie says a little bit about each of some of the primetime, daytime, and miniseries that she's appeared in. https://www.remindmagazine.com/article/27693/general-hospital-genie-francis-luke-laura-days-of-our-lives/ Regarding her role as Tyger Hayes on "Bare Essence".... “I liked doing the miniseries, I did not like doing the series. What I remember mostly about the series was how tired I was. I don’t know what age I was — I think I was 20 — but kids that age really need sleep, and I remember just being exhausted because I was working 13-hour days. I just remember when we got the cancellation, I was happy because I could sleep. And that’s weird, but that’s how I remember it, because I was so incredibly tired working those hours.”- Family (1976-1980)

I remember being very nervous. I knew I nailed it in my audition, and they asked me at the end, ‘Do you know how to ride a skateboard?’ And I said yes without hesitation. Never been on one in my life; I knew to lie. That was a Friday. I went home, I got my brother’s skateboard, and I skateboarded all Friday night into the dark, all Saturday into the dark and all Sunday. “And I got the message on Monday that I’d gotten the job. I had gotten familiar enough with the skateboard that I could skate a little bit, but I couldn’t go down the slalom. They had a body double for me to do that part of it. I got a lovely, lovely letter from a man named Glenn Jordan thanking me for doing the job, and telling me that he believed that I would have a rich and wonderful career. I still have that note.”- B&B: April 2025 Discussion Thread
