  6. Yes Frakes did a recent interview in which he mentioned Genie working on her lines for a memorial service. He didn't give details, but from the timing it was obvious he was talking about the memorial for Monica Quartermaine, which would have taped but not yet aired at the time of his interview. Edit to add: Found it. Jonathan Frakes did a podcast on September 1st. The part about Genie, soaps memorization and doing things on a single take starts around 7 minutes in. At about 8 minutes in, Frakes says says about Genie: "I've seen yesterday's work for her was 88 pages she was in because it was a memorial service and she spoke on about 32 of them."
  7. I have just discovered the political snark of folk singer Jesse Welles. (He sang this on Colbert on Thursday.)
  8. Meanwhile, Max Kennedy (wikipedia link) wrote a guest essay in the Boston Globe about the values of his father Bobby (RFK Sr). Specifically about how Bobby championed helping people in poverty and supported programs such as food stamps, etc. Max concluded with denouncing the policies of his brother RFK Jr. "My brother RFK Jr. is betraying our father's legacy" https://www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/21/opinion/rfk-legacy-birthday-betrayal-hunger/ no-paywall copy https://archive.is/fN15c

  11. I happened to be watching GH live that day, and that scene is seared into my brain. I didn't like the Sonny/Carly pairing overall, at all, but that first scene was wow.
  12. Tr*mp doesn't care about anyone or anything except power and popularity. He has zero principles. He likes some dictators because he perceives them as powerful or famous, despite their horrid ideas. He disliked John McCain because McCain had been a prisoner of war, which Tr*mp perceives as "weakness". Tr*mp thinks that if you have power or popularity, you are good. If you don't, then you're not. It's all about the ratings or whatever. I think the takeaway is that Tr*ump was cordial to Mamdani because he thinks Mamdani is popular/famous. Mamdani was there to ask for funding for New York City, and to do that, he played into appeasing the Tr*mp ego.
  13. What struck me about that 2023 fashion competition: The absurdity of Eric supposedly dying but hiding it from most of the characters, whilst the viewers assumed the death wouldn't happen. Many persons of color as U/5 buyers and guests at the showing, and Paris and Zende appearing -- all of which was in the promotion for those episodes -- to give the illusion that B&B is diverse. Well at least the new B&B studio location will have a place for runway fashion shows in the future, instead of this type of thing cramped into the office.
  14. Per the embargo rules, can't post the spoiler dailies yet, but here's the repeat episode: Thursday, November 27, 2025: Repeat Episode Episode #9137 (Season 37, Episode 28) original air date: October 30, 2023 "Eric and Ridge watch with excitement as the models walk through the crowd, showcasing their hard work and exquisite designs." (a design preview at the Forrester office). Guest stars included Marie Osmond and Elsa Esnoult. Tracey Bregman and Kate Linder crossed over from Y&R.
  15. Thursday, November 27, 2025: Repeat Episode Episode #9137 (Season 37, Episode 28) original air date: October 30, 2023 The fashion showdown between Eric and Ridge. (This was not a runway fashion show. Instead, the set-up for that week was an exclusive preview of designs for visiting buyers and special guests at the Forrester office, with some modeling of the dresses, and a ballot polling of the attendees as to whether they preferred Eric's or Ridge's designs.) Guest stars included: Marie Osmond as "Countess Van Frankfurt", Elsa Esnoult as her character "Fanny Greyson" from the French TV series Les Mystères de l’Amour, and Big Brother alum Taylor Hale as a model. Tracey Bregman and Kate Linder crossed over from Y&R. "Eric and Ridge watch with excitement as the models walk through the crowd, showcasing their hard work and exquisite designs." Jeresa Featherstone (now head costume designer at BTG) was at B&B back then, and she made this video about the October 2023 fashion competition: https://www.instagram.com/p/C-3lpTkxlmF/ Jeresa shows the detailed fabrics as the dresses were created; and points out that although some of the ball gowns wouldn't be her personal thing, she had to be consistent with what Eric Forrester would design.
