Today was a bit of a mixed bag. Not much happened. And we definitely should have gotten some follow-up with Chad, Tony and Kristen. But poor Xander. He did look hot at the beginning though 😂😂😍 And while I don't mind him moving on with someone else, for a little while anyway, I really wish that it wasn't with Gwen. There are other people on the canvas that he can be paired with, and other people who could have comforted him today. Stephanie, for example. And I did like the dorkiness of Maggie, Sarah and Holly. It's always nice to see Maggie catch up with her family. Btw, was the mention of Joe and Vic supposed to be foreshadowing? I was also liking the dynamic between Abe and Theo, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens, and if or how it's going to be tied to everything that EJ is doing at the clinic.

They need more drama and conflict

The proposal didn't do much for me either, and it probably wouldn't have even if I liked the couple. There's still so much drama that can be drawn from the aftermath of Javi and Leo losing the baby, and basically forgetting about it, and having them be so happy and engaged, is not the way to go.

I was really liking the circumstances surrounding the Horton family Thanksgiving today. It all felt like real family drama. I like how it was broken down between Jennifer trying to get Thomas over his anger about Chad, and Jack explaining to Julie why he and Jennifer are going ahead with the lawsuit, and how they eventually all reacted to Chad not showing up for dinner. I’m glad that we’re finally getting Jack’s POV in this storyline. It definitely needs to have a bigger part in it. And all the talk about Doug was really sweet 😊😊 The green color in the dining room was a little ugly though 😂😂😂 But I’m also glad that JJ was included. And that he found out about Philip and Gabi. I wouldn’t mind a Philip/Gabi/JJ triangle. There’s a lot that can be done with the three of them. And I did kind of like the nerdiness of the Hernandez family Thanksgiving as well, even though Leo was annoying, and I really, really hope he doesn’t hurt Javi in the end. But I agree Javi, stop freeloading off your cousin and get your own place 😂😂 Btw, did they forget that Philip is Arianna’s uncle? The cliffhanger ending with Chad was good as well.

Happy Thanksgiving y’all 🦃🦃 And Days finally used an establishing shot that had snow in it 😂😂 There was a strong family element that was weaved through the entire episode today. I liked how everybody came together for the holiday and how they were all there for each other. Marlena’s family coming together at the hospital for her and for Rachel was the best part of today. All the talk of John and how this is their first holiday without him was really sweet too. And now that Marlena confessed to Brady and Belle that she knew all along that Rachel shot EJ, I’m interested in seeing what happens next for all of them. It’s good family drama and I hope to see it play out. It could even tied to whatever’s going on with Marlena somehow. The acting was very good in those scenes as well. And I did like the scenes of Tate at Rachel’s bedside, promising to be there for her. I still think the little demon deserves to get locked up in Bayview though 😂😂 And while I liked the foreshadowing with Stephanie and Alex, I still think that they deserve a better storyline than this.

Then again, I can’t really see them as a couple but I wouldn’t mind something else happening between them 😂😂😂

Today was mostly a buildup day, for some storylines and for some couples. Not much happened, but I didn't think it was bad. All the talk about Doug was really sweet. I liked how Jennifer was there to comfort Julie and that they were both there to comfort Thomas and Charlotte about Chad. Julie, basically taking Chad's side over Jennifer was the right decision as well. And while I'm glad that Chad is going to be spending Thanksgiving with his kids, I do hope that there's still a custody fight between him and Jennifer. Jennifer didn't seem douchy today either. I'm glad that Brady told Sarah the truth about what his awful child did to her and that he apologized for it. I also liked that he told her about EJ as well. The fact that he's not trying to cover up the shooting with anybody feels like another example of Brady being a mature parent, and I couldn't be happier that this writer change, and the change of treating Rachel's problems seriously instead of like a big joke, are sticking. But I did kinda feel bad for Xander after Sarah blew him off, and also at the ending too, when he had nobody. Trivia night at the Pub seemed a little random though, but I did enjoy the dorkiness of it lol and I'm actually starting to enjoy Philip and Gabi a little bit too. But I hink JJ should be in their orbit somehow. And I know that this is a nitpick, but where did Roman get a microphone? 😂😂

Looks like I was wrong about Peter Porte 😍😍😍😍 As glad as I am to see him again, I really, really don't want a sequel to Dimitri's awful storyline and his utterly repulsive pairing with Leo. Luckily, we have new writers who don't get off on humiliating characters and who don't write awful selfish characters as though they're the good guys. Hopefully, things will be different. As for Wes Ramsey, I never thought we'd see him again lol but I'm glad that Stephanie's stalker isn't Jeremy or Liam. And while I did think there was a little too much Dimera in the promo, I'm looking forward to seeing everything play out, especially the return of (Peter Blake?) after all these years

Agreed. I’m enjoying a lot of what we’re seeing right now but missing the mark is the perfect term to describe some storylines, as a whole. Johnny should be the one trying to take down EJ, which could cause problems for him and Chanel. Susan (if she has to be on the canvas, that is) should be trying to mend fences between them instead of just being a clown. Everything that Marlena’s been through this year should be more tied together and have taken more of a toll on her, which would explain more what she’s going through right now. Even Javi and Leo; losing the baby should be tearing them apart. Maybe we should’ve even gotten a custody fight for the baby, between them, Amy, the Greenes, etc.

It was mostly about the younger crowd today. And, welcome to SJPR, Holly! I think Holly going to work for Stephanie is a good idea. It could lead to some interesting things happening and could also lead to her getting involved in more storylines across the canvas, instead of just being involved with Tate, Sophia and the rest of the younger crowd. It's a good use of the character. And poor Tate is so dumb 😂😂 I have mixed feelings about him not wanting Holly to find out that he's failing most of his classes. I don't see what could happen as a result of that. Why would Holly be upset with him? And I didn't know he was so proud either lol but I like that the younger crowd eventually came together for a Friendsgiving. They were really sweet and nerdy lol and they felt like an actual group of friends. All four actors work pretty well together. I feel like there's a natural chemistry between all of them. And I'm curious to see if Aaron asking Tate to go visit Sophia will lead to some good drama between Tate and Holly. As for all the anvils that were dropped today about Stephanie and a baby, I'm all for it... I just hope it turns out not to be Alex's 😂😂😂 And I'll always enjoy those sibling scenes between Brady and Belle, even though I thought Brady kind of ping-ponged back and forth between being intelligent and being stupid today. Belle being clued in that Rachel was the one who shot EJ could lead to something interesting happening. And I couldn't be happier that the doctor wants to send his little demon to Bayview 😂😂😂 And yeah, I also think Tony is right; Rachel is better off without Kristen. Good. They're boring 😂😂 Even if I liked them as a couple, I'd find them boring.

This f*ckin show, man. The writing for Laura, Lucas and Liz was pitiful today. And somebody really needs to tell Brennan that it isn't Vaughan's fault that Joss basically sold herself to him.
