There was a third brother too, named Raul. He was in the gang with Emilio and ended up holding Kayla hostage at the Community Center. RoJohn had to shoot and kill him, which led to some problems for Carrie and Julio because Julio hated cops as a result of that. Definitely strange, because from what I’ve watched, I can’t stand Emilio 😂 They kind of borrowed the whole ‘gang member with a chip on his shoulder and a heart of gold’ trope from Pete Jannings and gave it to Emilio, but damn he’s like Pete on steroids. And that curly mullet that he was rocking makes me feel as uncomfortable as Luke Spencer’s perm does 😂😂😂 I like Julio though.

So, the crap wasn’t corrected and another storyline got rushed. This is why people don’t like Alex lol. Seriously, what was the point of all that ‘I’m becoming a better person’ crap if they were gonna have him regress so easily? They do the same thing with Leo. And in some ways, this is all ruining Stephanie too. I don’t mind Chanel planning a party for Johnny, but asking Alex for help planning it is such a weak, forced and contrived way to make this storyline happen. Friggin guy is related to half the town, why does she need Alex’s help? Johnny was wearing a much nicer shirt today though And again, it’s too bad about Mark because he was a good guy. I really liked his scenes with Felicity today. But this storyline is ruining him. And ruining NotAbigail. This was all so unnecessary.

From what I’ve watched, I like April more, though the accent that Lisa Howard put on made her sound more like a Cerullo or a Falconeri than a Latina 😂😂 I wasn’t really a fan of Mike trying to convert to Judaism either because, from what I saw, it made him look stupid, made Robin look like a snob and made Jennifer a bit of a bitch too lol Thanks!

Luckily, today we had real writers, once again, correcting Jamey’s crap. I’m glad that Stephanie realized that she made a big mistake with Alex. It was (sort of) an out of character move for her, it rushed the storyline between her and Alex and totally diminished everything that she’s been saying about Bobby-Everett these past few months. I’m not against Alex and Stephanie reuniting but come on. Do it right. Hopefully, she pushes his ass away tomorrow. Paul Telfer and Serena Scott Thomas were the MVPs today. Their scenes today were what this storyline should have been; an emphasis on the relationship between Xander and Fiona, not Sarah’s paralysis or a fling with Brady. I wish it had gone on longer, both today and in this storyline overall. Johnny and Chanel deserve so much better than what they’re getting, but I actually don’t mind seeing angry Johnny though lol btw his shirt was hideous. As for Leo…Skip #PoorDee

Thats another problem with these mini-stories; it’s like they want the character to be everything but by rushing it, there’s like no way to explain why these characters are the way that they are.

Yeah. There was a huge cast purge from 1990-1991. I think it was even bigger than the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre of 1980

I’m watching that period on YouTube and it did seem like there were a lot of potential supercouples that ultimately went nowhere. Eve/Nick were one of them, but I also get that that impression from RoJohn/Diana and Mike/April too. Btw, how did Nick even get involved with Mike/April anyway? At the point that I’m up to, he’s basically just in a bubble with Eve.

The acting really was the saving grace for today. Because it all came off as really messy. And rushed. And at only 32 minutes too. Was it a Jamey episode? Lindsey Godfrey and Serena Scott Thomas did some really good work today, but this storyline is just too rushed and messy. One moment, Fiona says she feels terrible and guilty over hitting Sarah but then two seconds later, she’s ready to kill Sarah? And looking like she has no guilt whatsoever? What? I can’t believe we got another one of these rushed six month storylines. You’d think after the way the Dimitri storyline was totally botched, the writers, producers, etc. would stay away from storylines like that. Xander, Sarah, and basically everyone in their orbit deserved a lot better than this. And I thought Billy Flynn did pretty well too but I can see why he hinted that he didn’t like this Abigail storyline. It’s making Chad look stupid af. He’s a lot more intelligent than this. And Steve actually let Mark go after he found out that Mark was a fraud? Wtf? Considering this storyline and what we know about how it came to be (thanks to Billy) I still don’t understand how Ron has so many apologists and defenders that were willing to blame the bad writing on anybody else but him. We could’ve gotten Abigail back but we got this crap instead. He was clearly micromanaged a lot less than other writers are/have been. Hell, is this the reason why Mark was spared any kind of thing with Leo? I guess that’s a good thing but still… Ron’s hatred for Abigail is stronger than his 🍆 for Leo?

Overall, it might’ve helped. SoapNet was the reason I started watching GH (and OLTL) 😂

Yeah, but that was at the Dimera mansion. What they’re doing with Fiona is another perfect example of why you don’t give a character years worth of story when you only have the actor for like six months or whatever, because it just makes the storyline seem so random and go all over the place. They made the same mistake with Peter Porte. They should have kept Serena Scott Thomas off contract.
