  1. Not to mention casting for white male himbo characters and not learning their lesson when it comes to ill-fated plots of the past.
  2. When it comes to this opening, it felt like JFP thought Bay City was really a borough in NYC instead of a Chicago suburb. Poor Stephen Schnetzer, Alice Barrett and Matt Crane were only in that opening once, but how many times did Grayson McCouch pop up in that opening? Smh!
  3. Wendy Riche brought on Ricky Martin and Joseph C. Phillips back when Mark Teschner's casting was taken more serious by the EP's. JFP also had a pattern, at least on Guiding Light and Another World, of pairing up young, spunky rookie cop blondes with the roguish older cops, i.e., Mallet and Harley and Josie and Gary.
  4. She would've been great, although I wonder how much she would want to put up with P&G interference and possible network notes. Yet I can see her bringing back a stronger foundation to the show through the Hughes and developing strong friendships.
  5. It's as if TPTB decided that now the Glam Club is the new restaurant set because they don't want to pull out the Society set or can't have too many people in there. This show must be in the bathroom if every other soap looks better in terms of exterior, but the number one daytime show looks terrible. I've seen better sets during my middle and high school performing arts days. I don't mind Adam and Sally, but Nick didn't have to be involved in this storyline AT ALL! Or at least acknowledge that Nick is old enough to be Sally's father. I'm hoping this is another stopgap before they put Nick and Sharon back together. And don't get me started on Sharon potentially being paired with her third cop. Where's the story in that? It became quite noticeable in 2020 when they returned during the height of the pandemic and those sets became few and number of characters in them became sparse.
  6. The Hillman Files posted clips of the episode in which Kimberly was letting the limelight get to her as the lead singer of Ron's band.
  7. And I hoped Cody was Katherine Bell's con artist son, whom she had abandoned years before moving to Port Charles. But nope, he has to be Dominique's long-lost child with Mac. This would have also been an excellent time to introduce Serena back to the canvas with this long-lost half-brother and her mother (Lucy) being MIA or presumed dead.
  8. I wanted Mac's child to be from his mercenary days to be a daughter who turns out to be a social climbing model for Deception. That's why you got to be specific on wishing storylines and characters. I've seen photos of Real Andrews back on set filming, so I hope it's coming.
  9. Rena Sofer as Lois, or, in our dreams, Vanessa Marcil as Brenda on GH?
  10. It should've been just revealed that Adam and Rae slept together, and Althea "Raised" Skye, her husband's love child.
  11. I think one of the reasons why we don't get Cam's POV as much is because William Lipton is on recurring as he goes to college, though they always make it sound like Cameron is taking care of his four and eight-year-old brothers as a reason why he and Joss were growing apart, even though they're more like 16 and 10 by now. Then again, this is the same character who didn't get to meet either one of his grandparents on screen. Dex is in a long line of Frank's specific young white male casting, i.e., Brando and the Ford Brothers. He's attractive, as is Montone, who gets our young heroine to do something unusual and then makes them realize they're not right for each other, i.e., Langston and Ford and Starr and James. I do hope, however, that they will eventually bring on a young adult Emma or Lila Rae for a future romance with Cameron.
  12. On DAYS, John is not Forest Alamain. The show should've left it alone instead of creating such a convoluted backstory for him with Tobin Bell as his Japanese father?
  13. Episodes uploaded leading up to Cassie's death.
  14. Speaking of Sarah Buxton, she uploaded a recent photo of herself with her family on Instagram.
  15. If those characters tied to the legacy families don't include Diana Carter, Mary Warwick, RJ Forrester, Felicia Forrester, Dino Damiano, Eric Sharpe, or Rick Forrester, then Brad can keep it. I do hope they use Li more, as well as Jack Finnegan, who should mix it up romantically with either Brooke or Taylor. I also wouldn't mind Ian Buchanan doing a stint as James, if possible. I also hope some of the new characters have their own rival fashion house, so perhaps Thomas can work there. Brad's lack of attention span doesn't give me confidence in Carter and Katie's slow burn. I wish Spencer Publications could play more of a part on the show for that reason. It's also the reason why I wish Paris would've been a cub journalist who came to work there and was mentored by Bill as well as befriended Liam and Wyatt too.
  16. I wouldn't mind a Jabot anniversary that brings together the Abbotts, Jill, etc., for a gala that ends up with Jeremy aiming to shoot Diane, but instead Kyle or Jack gets shot in the crossfire, causing Ashley, Nikki, and Phyllis to feel guilty about bringing this man to town in the first place. And Diane goes off on each one of them, promising that if anything happens to Jack or Kyle, they will answer to her. I know it would never happen, but I wouldn't mind a primetime episode leading up to next year's Daytime Emmy; perhaps CBS/Sony gives them some bucks to make the show look better. Perhaps a look-back documentary with past and present stars including Janice Lynde, Jamie Lyn Bauer, John McCook, Eric Braeden, Peter Bergman, Jess Walton, Victoria Rowell (yeah, I know), Shemar Moore, Heather Tom, Susan Walters, Michelle Stafford, Bryton James, etc., counting down 50 moments from the show's 50 years.
  17. Hopefully Christine follows Danny and/or Daniel. I doubt she would ever follow Phyllis on social media. I love all the glares Danny gave Phyllis every time she opened her mouth. I wonder if they are going to say that Paul and Christine separated or divorced off-screen. We didn't need those Billy and Chelsea scenes, as once again he tries to do his best Deepak Chopra on her.
  18. Are you glad to see Jenny back full time? How do you feel about them possibly killing of Corinna?
  19. Oh, I thought they were going to do it during the Pandemic too 🤣 They already had rerun Lauren and Michael's wedding so many times in the last fifteen years. They should've re-aired a Christmas episode from at least 2004 or prior but at least it isn't an episode from 2020.
  20. Rory was, in my opinion, a character who had no real development. He was just created to be a third party, and that was mainly on TPTB. I thought they were going to reveal that somehow, he was related to Selina Wu, and the reason why he became a cop was because he was against the family's criminal organization. But his death isn't really much of a loss. If anything, Diane should've been killed off. I'm hoping Spencer and Trina will be dating by the spring of next year. It's beyond time, and I can't see Nicholas Chavez signing on after his contract expires in 2024.
  21. I think Wendy Riche would make a good EP at YR too. Though I'm not sure if she would want to put up with Sony while trying to give us a better show, both creatively and aesthetically. Nonetheless, it wouldn't hurt to test those waters if possible. I just don't want to see Josh Griffith as both an EP and the head writer. We already know the history of this show when it comes to giving head writers "full power." Hopefully, Josh will be the next to go after his contract expires, and they will try to find someone who can at least tell a decently long story for the characters. He can go back to writing his novels. Maybe they promote Amanda Beall, Sara Bibel, or Natalie Minardi Slater, though I doubt any of them want the job at this point.
  22. I know Mal Young was not my favorite, i.e., "that gift for Mishael Morgan," but I think he did have a point when he got rid of Chelsea, Kevin, and Chloe. I would have Chelsea and Johnny start to bond, and then perhaps she dies in a plane crash. And Kevin, Chloe, and those kids of theirs can move to Silicon Valley.
  23. I think it's past that point currently. I think it's been starting to go that way for the last few years now. Even Days has better-looking sets than this show. I kind of wish they would just transform that hotel set into an apartment set. And don't get me started on Noah's tacky-looking business that seems to be more of a supper club than an actual nightclub. When COVID occurred and we saw how sparse the sets were, their cost-effective measures became more apparent to the viewers. In a way, it would be more effective to have characters such as Noah, Abby, etc., work at their family companies if they want to save money on sets.
