While I enjoy and welcome remotes back on GH, talk about a waste.  If I was at GH, a romantic remote like this would feature a couple people are dying to see finally get together- like Spencer and Trina.  I appreciate them giving Carly something to do that doesn’t revolve around Sonny in some way.  But this pairing isn’t worth the beautiful footage.

Exactly! My dream story would be Spencer and Trina going on the run when the truth comes out about her paternity (eye roll) She and Spencer can somehow end up in Los Angeles or somewhere that California can be used for as another state. Leading up to them admitting their feelings and getting together while Portia, Curtis, and Taggert deal with the fallout and eventual search for Trina.

The show clearly underestimated the idea of Trina and Spencer, and clearly now with a large following, the show does not know what to do with them. Trina and Spencer are just another one of Dan and Chris's dangling threads, like the Hayden mystery(which involves the murder of her mom).

They better hurry up and put them together because I don't think Nicholas Chavez will be on this show past 2024.

Onwards and upwards we go. Time for part 3 of the countdown of favourite characters, and now we will pass the halfway point. And just like with Chas Dingle (#42) we now find a character that probably would have ended up higher if I'd done this earlier...

But without further ado, here are the characters ranked 21-30.

    30. Lynn Whiteley (Fionnuala Ellwood), 1989-90, 1990, 1991-94

    29. Elizabeth Feldmann (Kate Dove), 1990-93

    28. Archie Brooks (Tony Pitts), 1983-85, 1986-89, 1990-93

    27. Jessie Renfrew (Kathleen Helme), 1978, 1979, 1981, 1983

    26. Kim Tate (Claire King), 1989-99, 2018, 2019-

    25. Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles), 1998-2002, 2004, 2012-19, 2021-

    24. Caroline Bates (Diana Davies), 1984-89, 1990, 1991-92, 1993, 1994-95, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999

I think for both reasons  but a little  more for the actress.  She's been phoning it in for awhile now and also the character herself has grown unlikable as well.

I just think Tognoni would've hit the ball out of the park as Victoria and was horribly miscast as Phyllis.

I love Gina but that wasn't Phyllis she was portraying in addition to the writing wasn't there. And I'm going to be honest I don't think she had much chemistry with Jason Thompson or Joshua Morrow. If anything, Jamie Luner or Melinda Clarke should've been cast as Phyllis instead.

  5. Y&R: Sharon/Christine

For years, they were good friends, dating back to when Sharon was raped by Matt Clark. However, in recent years, when Christine was attempting to convict Sharon with Phyllis, Nikki, and Victoria for J.T.'s "Murder". They never made mention that Sharon was being convicted by her friend, nor did Christine have any reactions to it.

Wasn't Cricket an honorary Abbott at one time? They've completely forgotten about that connection and haven't addressed that in years.

I'd add Sharon and the Winters too. It has always boggled me Sharon didn't have more of a presence/connection with her best friend, Dru's, kids. She should really be a presence for them now more than ever now that Neil is gone too. Sadly, Sharon is reduced to pouring coffee for everyone.

In recent years they did have Sharon and Lily converse while she was pouring coffee... though Neil did leave her Drucilla's jewelry when he died. Though I wished they would connect them more.

Another connection I always wanted on screen but never gotten due to BTS antics is Paul/Nate on Y&R. I wished we would've at least gotten a few scenes of them talking about Nathan and how much he meant to Paul back in the day.

That interview is the epitome of British passive-aggressive entertainment. I love how she described a story she was clearly repulsed by as "brave."

She probably wanted to describe it as something else but was trying to be diplomatic as possible. 🤣

All this stupid show does is offer people jobs.

It's actually weird at this point. Every plot line involves people getting new employment. Is this some edict from the higher ups?

And this show really does not have the budget for a helicopter landing so why even suggest it? I've never seen a program so creatively bereft.

Like I say on Twitter often Josh Griffith plays musical chairs with these characters careers.

The only last go-round of a triangle I could imagine with Brooke/Ridge/Taylor was if Brooke started to have menopause and her sexual urges started to decrease as they do with a lot of women going through the change. Ridge, being the pig that he is, does not fill fulfilled, and Brooke, someone who is used to having control of her body/sexuality, becomes depressed. Ridge finds himself wrapped up in Taylor, who is able to fulfill his needs. That would be an age appropriate last hoorah for this overplayed love triangle. And personally, I'd end it with Brooke and Taylor both coming to the realization that neither of them need Ridge.

And yes, Sheila's kids need to come back and mix it up with the cast. This would be the perfect time for her spawns to come to town, build relations with Finn, and unravel and wreak havoc on the new generation. But like always, Brad stays stuck on the same 4-5 characters, hence why this show is gonna remain on the constant hamster wheel until it ends or someone else is able to wrest power from him and bring a new vision to the show.

It seems for the most part that the fans come up with better plots than the writers.

Exactly. It has always boggled my mind that Hope or Brooke or even Katie haven't thrown that in her face by now.

And I don't even know why Forrester Creations is still a thing. We haven't had a major business story in decades involving the company. Sucks because this show's greatest stories consisted over a power struggle for control or to get a line created.

Furthermore, I am over hearing Ridge/Taylor/Brooke are still playing musical chairs at this point. They are over 50. That sh*t should cease at this point. Literally, all three characters need to be in therapy as none of them lack confidence.

The stories given to the elders are stories that need to be given to RJ, Eric Jr., Jack, etc. along with all the current 20-30 year olds on this show.

Pretty much have the same feelings regarding the show.

I wish they would give the 50+ character actual lives and not needing to still be on a merry-go-round of Brooke/Ridge/Taylor. It's beyond played out at this point.

Also, I wish the show would bring on RJ, Eric Jr., Mary Warwick and Diana Carter too. This show needs the next generation who should be getting the in and out love stories.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it odd that soaps still have 30-something year old adults scheming to get their parents back together? That is one trope that needs to die. If kids younger than 18 do it, OK. But 18 and older doing that looks odd. Especially, when you're now an adult and figuring out life yourself. What adult has time scheme to get their parents back together too? Also, as many times of Thomas and Steffy have been married and divorced, you'd think by now that they'd conclude Taylor/Ridge is toxic and not gonna work.

There are 1000 other stories Brad could be putting the Forrester kids into and this ain't one of them.

I agree with 100% of this. They could actually give them an actual Forrester storyline. It seems Brad don't want to tell stories involving the fashion world again. I just wish someone will tell Steffy that she is in the same boat as Brooke when it comes to her behavior with men.

  11. It's likely that Thomas called CPS on himself to "set it up" to be Brooke, so Ridge will find his way back to Taylor for Ridge & Taylor: Round 1000.

I'm like Steffy let's not act like you haven't followed in your hated stepmother's whorish footsteps yourself.

And it seems that they have completely wiped away Taylor's alcoholism out the window too.

Kelly’s actress said she won’t ever do another soap again.

She seems quiet full of herself. See her in Hollyoaks in 2025 lol

I wouldn't call it full of herself. She's a talented young actress who probably end up doing her rounds on BBC and ITV shows. Unless she plans to try her luck in Hollywood.
