  1. Oh I'll watch it all at some point. I'll be soon going back to the early 90s until I catch back up to Feb 1995. I'm here for a long time... any year of GL (and others) is better than what we have today.
  2. I feel that... when the Santos clan came to town, I immediately felt a shift... in the wrong direction. What I do like is how they've built the Santos family into the San Cristobal story from the start, so umbrella stories draw me in... but on the flip side, they did that with a new family, so now you have new and new within 8 months... leaving the old GL crew to only 10-20% of the show. I mean, I still want to know what happens next... but it's not the same. Barely seeing Vanessa or Matt in 4 months is criminal. The one big pleasant surprise for me during this whole time is Drew - Tammy Blanchard really became a star in my eyes.
  3. Haha I never watched VD, but that's a great resume. I'll say, he looks like a cute twink as Max, which doesn't match the edgy Sofer that was needed in the role... but he came just as Susan seems reformed and Max is accepting of Drew adopting him, so I'm curious if the character turns a leaf which may suit Wesley more. Awww, I love that Matt is trying here. He and Bill always had a rocky relationship, and that's all Matt can do to fully support a moody Bill right now. This is where the writers really should have merged characters and families. Vanessa did her thing barging into the Santos mansion to confront Carmen, but it lasted one episode. Otherwise, these storylines are on an island now (literally), and I wish there was more interaction. I'd love to see Matt or Billy tell Carmen what's up.
  4. Haha - I know what you mean - the good ol' days are over (although they don't really have to be, but I digress). I will say, GH has had some really strong cliffhangers over the past few months... except today 😂
  5. I'm on your island too! I like her a lot, but like you, I haven't seen the years that may have changed my mind. I liked the Joss/Cassius scenes today. Today was the first step in redeeming him in a way, where there could be longer term potential for him to stay on the show.
  6. I’m up to July 27, 1999. Alan and Beth tell Lizzie that Annie has left SF and won’t be coming back, which makes Lizzie sad, but Beth reassures her that she’ll never make her feel lonely again. Alan later tells India he’s proud of her for helping him save Lizzie, but he then says he’s known for quite some time that she’s broke, which surprises her. He tells her not to worry as her secret will stay safe with him, and they decide to go on a nice, friendly dinner together. At dinner, Alan hands her a signed declaration that he will pay for Dorie’s schooling and living expenses (India’s adopted daughter), which surprises and pleases India. He then confides in her that his life is off, it’s not working and he doesn’t even feel like getting out of bed anymore. India says he’ll be just fine because he has so much in life to be thankful for, but as they stand up to leave dinner, he clutches his heart and falls into the table (seemingly a heart attack)! India screams out for help and a waiter calls 911, just as Rick/Abby/Phillip/Harley all walk in for a group dinner. They realize the man having a heart attack is Alan and they panic, with Rick starting to provide aid. They rush him to the hospital where they mention he also has a collapsed lung, and Rick ends up saving him. Phillip cries to Alan, saying he’s always loved him, but they fight too much and need to work on that. Alan asks him to forgive him, but Phillip says he’s a good man and there is nothing to forgive him for. The 7/27 episode is Hayley Sparks’ last episode as Harley during this run while Beth Ehlers was medically out. There is a new actor playing Max, with the announcer naming him as Paul Wasilewski (7/21). This is his original last name, which he later changed to Paul Wesley - also known as James T. Kirk in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which makes me so happy to see him on Guiding Light! I’ll miss Jesse Sofer though because I really like him, but I read that he went to school so they were forced to recast. Anyway, Susan is still at the Oakridge camp and is talking in a group circle about why she’s there and Max surprises Susan and the girls by showing up in camp uniform and saying he belongs there. He acts like a jerk to Susan and says he wants to borrow money because his bank card ran out. She asks why he’s being mean and he said she bailed on him when they were supposed to run off together. Susan tells him that he’s an idiot for not going back to Drew because she wants to adopt him, which surprises him. She convinces him she’s telling the truth and they become friendly again and she gives him a little kiss on her cheek. Before he can leave, Jim stops by so he hides under the bed. Jim tells Susan he’s so happy she’s taken camp seriously and he’s impressed with her attitude, so he’s ready to take her home. She’s excited but says she has one thing to admit first, but he already knows Max is hiding under the bed because he can smell his cologne and he tells Max to come out. Jim is surprisingly cool with it and they all leave together happy, with Jim telling Max he needs to go see Drew. Susan and Jim go to the Spaulding mansion and Susan apologizes to Beth for everything she’s done (hard to tell if she’s serious or not). Michelle is back from her honeymoon in San Cristobel and visits with Drew. Drew shows off her engagement ring and Michelle is happy for her. A social worker comes by as Michelle is leaving and asks Drew where Max is. Selena then arrives in time and they make up a story that he is at the library, but Max finally walks in and Drew is so excited to see him. The social worker then assumes everything is fine and leaves, and Drew/Max hug each other. Max says Susan told him about Drew adopting him, which he was happy to hear. Jesse then tells him that he proposed to Drew and they’re all happy. Ben and Carmen have dinner at the Towers with Pilar and Bill to celebrate his new job at SanCorp and Matt/Vanessa walk in and see them all together. David and Vicky also arrive for dinner, but David didn’t realize that Vicky also invited his parents, Vivian and Charles (first time seeing these two in forever - 7/22). Frank is there and pulls David aside, telling him this is their chance to get Carmen and they don’t need everyone to be there. Vanessa is upset and tells Matt she can’t watch Bill get pulled more into the Santos family drama. Bill walks up to their table and eventually tells Vanessa that he took the SanCorp job again, which pisses her off. She leaves for the bathroom and Matt tells Bill that while he doesn’t trust the Santos family, he does trust him (Bill), so never be afraid to come to him if he needs help. Later, Michelle privately tells Bill to be careful because Ben and Carmen may not have his best interests in mind. While alone with David, Charles tells him he can tell something is bugging him and wants to know what, but David denies it. Charles then says he knows it hurt David to know he was forced into buying cheap medical equipment from the Santos family. Apparently they were threatening Vivian and David’s lives if he didn’t comply, which David then said that’s what he thinks led to Charles’ stroke last year (this is all new story that we never saw play out). Charles plays it off and says it’s not a big deal and he shouldn’t worry about it, but David insists the Santos family will pay big for it. After Vicky and Vivian return to the table, Frank and a few cops walk in and surprise David by saying he’s under arrest for fraud and conspiracy! David thinks it’s a gag, but realizes Frank is serious and the Grant family demands to know what’s happening. Frank finally says they’ve received a tip that he’s involved in racketeering, which Vicky and Vivian assume someone is setting him up. Later at the police station, it’s clear that Frank and David are working together in this ruse, where David will try and get on the inside with Carmen to ruin the family. The rest of the family arrives at the station and Frank pulls out a bag he says they found in his apartment and dumps a ton of money out. Vivian and Vicky are distraught and can’t believe it, but Charles pulls David aside and says he knows what he’s doing. David finally confesses and says he has to go undercover to finally bring the Santos family down, which worries Charles, but he promises David he’ll go along with it. Ben offers David to be his lawyer, which plays right into David’s plan of getting inside, so he accepts and Ben is able to get him off on bail so he can go home for now. Later at his apartment, David is a major jerk to Vicky, but she refuses to leave and says she’s not leaving him behind. She tells him to kiss her and he does and they have sex. Josh calls Danny over to the house and tells him his friend Edmund is a liar, which Danny finds hard to believe until Josh tells him that Reva is being held prisoner at the royal palace. He tells Danny about Olivia’s call about sneaking Reva out, but he wants Danny’s help. Danny surprises Josh by saying his family has a private airstrip they own to drop off certain ‘things’, which Josh realizes he’s talking about drugs, but he turns a blind eye since Danny is offering to help. Danny plans to use one of their planes to fly Josh back to San Cristobel undetected at night. Josh says he owes Danny, but asks him not to tell anyone, including Michelle, which Danny agrees to. At the palace, Richard tells Reva they were never divorced so they’re legally still married since she’s alive, but Reva refuses to believe it. He then shows her love letters that she wrote to him, which she reads aloud. She starts to cry when she reads a letter about their baby kicking inside her, which he’s memorized. She then has an epiphany when she remembers writing another letter that she reads about her baby. Richard then shows her the last known picture of their son, a blonde toddler on the beach. He tells her his name is Jonathan and Reva cries saying she promises she won’t leave until they find their son. Richard then says she needs to follow the same path that Catherine took in order to fall back in love with him. Danny is getting ready to fly Josh to San Cristobel, but Michelle comes home and wants to have a romantic evening. Danny says he can’t because he’s behind on work, but Michelle then sees a suitcase and asks where he’s heading. Danny tries to play it off, but she’s not buying it and demands to know what he’s up to. He promises he’ll be back the next day and it’ll be quick, so she wants to go with him. He says no and tries to convinces her he won’t be breaking any laws, so she finally accepts it and says she trusts him. Just as he’s about to leave, he breaks down and finally tells her the truth about Reva and how he’s going with Josh to rescue her. Danny and Josh are now in a tiny two-seater airplane on their way to San Cristobel, as the palace starts to host a party that evening to announce Olivia and Richard’s engagement. The guys arrive and Danny waits in the plane while Josh enters the palace as planned, just as Edmund and Olivia announce Richard to the gathered crowd. Olivia quickly announces they are getting married, but Richard pulls her aside and asks why she didn’t cancel the party like he asked. Reva is starting to remember more, so she leaves her room and heads to the party, but Edmund stops her just before she enters. Olivia sees Reva and insists she goes back to her bedroom. Richard pulls Olivia aside and tells her he trusts her completely, but she needs to give him the time to work through everything. Edmund then makes a call to Carmen, revealing that Reva is about to remember everything and if she remembers what happened to Jonathan, then he’ll be a dead man. Carmen says she’s heard of Reva, but doesn’t care what happens to her, but Edmund is safe with her and he thanks her for their continued working relationship. Back at the party, Reva tries to tell Richard and Olivia that she’s remembering things, but palace guards, who have caught Josh, wrestle him into the party. Reva runs to him and hugs him as Richard looks on, but Josh starts yelling at him for mistreating Reva. He tells Josh he hasn’t hurt her and she’s a guest who wants to be there, which Josh doesn’t believe, but Reva admits she’s there on her own free will. A guest then calls her Catherine, and Reva pulls Josh aside. Reva tells Josh everything and when he finds out Reva actually had a child, he’s visibly upset and doesn’t want to believe it. Reva continues to tell him she must stay and see this through, so he finally decides to stay with her and help her, leading both to cry into each other’s arms. Richard, however, overhears and says that is not possible because Reva needs to be alone with him as she puts her memory back together. Reva pushes back and says if Josh leaves, she will leave, but Richard says she’ll never find her son that way, so she must decide what’s important to her. Danny is fed up waiting so he enters the palace and confronts Edmund about lying to him about detaining Reva. Edmund reminds him that he’s a guest in this country and a newlywed, so he would be wise to butt out of it. Danny finally relents and says he’s done his due diligence and decides to leave, shaking Edmund’s hand and still calling him a friend. Richard then overhears Edmund and Olivia talking and realizes it was Olivia that gave Josh instructions on how to get into the palace, which upsets him and he walks out on her, saying she betrayed him. He goes back to Josh, who shows Richard a picture of Marah and Shayne and tells him those are Reva’s children and she will not be leaving them behind while she waits for her memories to come back, but Richard threatens him by saying if he doesn’t allow Reva to stay, he will put her life in even more danger by forcing him to put her on trial for treason and she will be executed. Reva walks in and Josh is forced to say she can stay. Richard leaves and Josh tells Reva he won’t rest until she comes home safely, they kiss and on his way out they say “Always” to each other while crying. Josh and Danny then fly back home. Carmen magically shows up in San Cristobel and talks to Edmund face to face about Danny being too involved in the Reva mess, but Edmund promises her that their own business together won’t be interrupted and the “Catherine” situation will end as quickly as it will tragically when she dies for the good of their country. Carmen then says when she sends Michelle back down here with secret bearer bonds, she wants Edmund to intercept and charge her, which should put her in prison for at least 20 years. Edmund marvels at her villainy and says Danny is young, he’ll quickly find another pretty young woman. Meanwhile, Blake and Holly comfort Cassie at the farmhouse while she waits for word from Josh that he’s successful. Cassie gets a letter in the mail that her new tractor on the farm will be repossessed and they talk about her inability to keep the farm running. Holly mentions perhaps selling the newspaper since the internet boom will likely make newspapers obsolete (which for as early as 1999, smart thinking). The ranch hand that was involved with Annie/Lizzie briefly shows up, saying he’s an old friend of Hart’s and needs a little help, but the ladies inform him that Hart died. He then says goodbye to Holly and leaves, and they both had a bit of a long stare with each other.
  7. Boy what a boring Friday ending... but... next week looks GOOD. I can't wait!
  8. For the GL Vault - a few date/naming corrections are needed: The 7/29/99 episode (modified 5/17/2023) is a duplicate of the original 7/28/99 episode just before it. Our amazing friend 'paisoaps' uploaded the correct 7/29/99 episode (modified 4/10/26) that needs to get filed away, which will then make July 1999 complete. The 7/31/99 episode is actually a duplicate of the 7/30/99 Friday episode and can be removed (7/31 was a Saturday). From there, all of August 1999 is then accurate, as 8/02/99 was a Monday. Thanks, all!
  9. Same here! Kelsey and Bobby were in my top 10 favorite couples while watching as a teen/young adult. Parts of the Kelsey persona/character remind me of Bridget on GL, who I also love.
  10. Seeing Laura Wright and Cynthia Watros together in scene always makes me happy - love those two together, all the way back to their GL days. Dante again was great today. Otherwise, a slower day.
  11. I love his praise for Cameron Mathison - and how even ~20 years ago, he felt like Cam was a safe space. He truly is a great guy.
  12. Or... Kelly Ripa wouldn't have the job at all, because she never would have met Mark and she never would have been secretly pregnant that the psychic predicted on air which really made her popular for the Live audience.... haha, so many what ifs with that fun butterfly effect game I loved Maria and the entire Santos clan, so I'm happy with how things turned out. Y'all being able to watch this era right now really has me jealous. I know the Nixon family is trying hard to make this a reality in the States, so I just know it'll come eventually. This is great, and to have it be Laura Wright's character is even better (for me). That AMC opening will always be my favorite, and really my favorite soap opera opening of all time. I've never seen an episode of Loving, but I did a Wiki rabbit hole of that and The City today and learned all about how Frankie first debuted there, and who Jacob was - I'm shocked! I'd love to get my hands on the infamous Loving Murders episode - really those last 4-5 months. I'd watch all of that and The City (which was barely over a year long, sadly)... that would be fun to watch!
  13. LOL - I thought the exact same thing about the TV location - very odd. I'm also disappointed if the Marcel/Leslie relationship is over. I thought it had a lot of potential.
  14. Good question re: Kial! But don't get too excited about those screenshots haha....
  15. Hahaha ❤️
  16. Anyway, back to today's show. Alex Havins was strong today. This was my first time really being upset by Britt, she was awful today. Dante is really growing on me these days. I'm still quite impressed by the Rocco actor.
  17. Ohh that's right... duh haha. Still, can't wait to see how it all turns out.
  18. Ohh today was good! I love how they're tying Brennan into the Drew/Willow story with the same drug, and Elizabeth and Carly both seem to be figuring it out separately. Ava and Ethan have chemistry - I could be down for that pairing! I'm glad Sonny and Ric made up at the end, but Sonny is ridiculous. So chaotic. I really liked Dante today, which isn't always the case for me. He was subdued and showed a caring emotion that got to me. Tomorrow looks like he'll go more ham with Cassius, which is expected. I'm intrigued to know who is taking pictures of Willow and Chase!
  19. I loved the bell ringing scene - it was needed to close out the storyline and it was emotional. Jen Jacobs did a great job explaining it too, while tearing up.
  20. I’m up to July 20, 1999. The prison guards surprise Josh and tell him he’s free to go. They escort him to the airport, but demands to know if Reva will be there. When he starts realizing she isn’t showing up, he attacks the guards and tries to make a run for it, but they catch him and arrest him again on the tarmac. At the palace, someone slips a note to Reva under the door telling her that Josh is at the airport and if she ever wants to see him again, she needs to go there now. The note has directions which leads her through the palace, but she comes across the big grand doors that she had in her prior visions. She realizes she must go through those doors to understand her past, but we see a gloved hand with a gun pointing directly at her from behind a corridor. Just as Reva is about to open the doors, a very decorated man in uniform yells at her to stop and we finally see Prince Richard (7/15)! He thinks she’s pretending not to remember her and says she should be on her knees begging for his forgiveness. Reva stands up to him though and says no one talks to her that way, being a prince be damned. They yell at each other and Richard manhandles her and pushes her back into the main room of the palace she was originally in, away from the mystery doors. Richard finds Edmund and says even though Reva doesn’t remember the past, she must still pay for what she did. He sees Reva once again and says she robbed him of the greatest love of his life, which she realizes must be Catherine. Meanwhile, Michelle is worried about Reva/Josh and insists she at least pick up the ring from the jeweler. She hands over the receipt to the jeweler and he gives her a bracelet. Michelle knows that’s not the ring she’s supposed to pick up and gets angry with the jeweler who is insistent that’s the piece to pick up. The jeweler leaves and Danny tells Michelle to forget it, but Michelle says something isn’t right so they leave to figure it out. They arrive at the palace, find Edmund and ask why he never called them back to let them know how Reva/Josh are doing. Edmund says everything is fine, the ring was returned to its owner and he asked the jeweler to be discreet. Michelle then asks to use the phone so she can call Reva at the hotel, but Edmund says no, he’s already personally escorted them to the airport and they’re on their way back home. Michelle still finds it all to be odd, and as Edmund escorts them around the palace, Reva hears Michelle’s voice and yells out to her, but Richard covers her mouth and hides her in time so Michelle/Danny can’t hear. They all finally leave and Reva yells at Richard that she’s an American citizen and he can’t treat her this way (haha), but he finally tells her that she took his only son away from him, which shocks her. He says she was the last person seen with him before both she and his son disappeared, and he hasn’t seen him in 6 years. Meanwhile, Edmund is ominously watching them on a grainy CCTV in a palace office. Reva apologizes and pleads to him that she doesn’t know what happened to his son, and then recounts the story of driving off the bridge and remembering waking up in Goshen, without a clue what happened in those three years in-between. She tells him about the dreams she’s recently had about the door and baby. Olivia then walks in and tells Richard to let up on her because she really doesn’t remember. He takes Olivia away and talks privately, saying she will eventually remember and he must know where his son is. Olivia cries that she thought he was ready to live again and put everything behind him, but Richard said he can’t now that she’s back. Richard says it’s best that they postpone the announcement of their wedding. He then goes back to Reva, who is hiding a knife in her pocket that she found earlier, but he finds it and disarms her. He then drags her to the mystery doors and finally opens it to reveal what Reva couldn’t face in her dreams: a large painting of Reva in a white wedding dress and tiara! Reva faints, but then comes to and Richard reveals that Reva is Catherine and they were married, and once she left him, he locked these doors and no one has ever gone into that room since. Reva then flashes back to that time when she was wearing the dress and tiara and is shocked. Richard then tells her the story - there was a fisherman from San Cristobel working off the coast of Florida that spotted Reva. He pulled her out of the water and she had no form of ID on her so they took her to a hospital in San Cristobel where she woke up 7 days later with no memory of her life. Richard took care of her and tried to find out where she came from, but as time went on, it didn’t seem to matter anymore because they were happy. They got married on August 22nd and it became a national holiday, and still is today, and that’s why that date was inscribed on her ring, which was his gift to her on their wedding day. Reva cries and says she doesn’t remember anything about their wedding day and she’s married to Joshua Lewis! He then asks how she can’t be concerned for her own son, and she realizes she’s the mother of that baby. She flips the script and says he must have done something awful to them to make her want to take the baby away, but he then leaves her without saying a word. Edmund tells Olivia that even though he doesn’t like her, Reva is still a bigger problem than Olivia, so he will still plan a surprise engagement party so Richard is so overjoyed by the occasion that he forgets about Reva, knowing that while Reva is alone, Josh will try and get back to her. Josh is now back in Springfield and calls Ross for help. Cassie and Blake then walk in and Ross tells them that Reva is being detained in San Cristobel. Ross tells Blake he understands now why she wanted to help Cassie get there and they reconcile from their previous encounter. Ross then gets a call and is told Reva’s official charge is treason, for kidnapping the son of the Prince who is the heir to the throne. Ross then says the penalty for treason is death, which shocks everyone. He says there is no US embassy in San Cristobel, so there isn’t much they can do. Later that night, Olivia secretly calls Josh and tells him she wants to help get Reva back home to him. She tells Josh to come back to San Cristobel by tomorrow night and arranges a secret key for him to use to get into the palace so he can take her away and back to SF. She makes him promise that he won’t tell Richard she’s helping him. Jesse finally has an engagement ring that he bought and formally proposes to Drew, which makes her cry and she says yes. Drew is so excited and starts envisioning their wedding in her head. Meanwhile, Selena and Buzz continue to spend time together and as they’re kissing at home, little Coop (slightly older now/new actor, 7/15) walks in and calls out ‘Mommy’, because he had a dream about her and misses her. This is hard for them to hear and Buzz privately talks to him and comforts him, which was sweet. He decides he needs to go on a trip to England with Coop so they can bond and see where Jenna was from. He asks Selena to watch Company while he’s gone and she says of course, but after she leaves, she cries to herself and says she wishes he loved her like he loved Jenna. Phillip and Harley can’t find Lizzie and engage Beth and Jim to help them find her. Alan comes home, realizes the safe was emptied and they assume Annie must have taken Lizzie. They call Frank and the police over, and Annie eventually calls and they try to trace where she’s calling from. Annie tells Alan she’s using his cell phone that she swiped, so it won’t do any good, but that it wasn’t her idea. Lizzie begged to go with her so she had no choice, and she lets Lizzie talk to Alan, who says she’s having the best time with Annie. Annie hangs up and Beth crumbles in Alan’s arms, but then starts to lay into him saying it’s all his fault because he strung Annie along. India then randomly shows up to show her support, as Alan says Beth is right and that he’ll never forgive himself if Lizzie gets hurt. He then leaves, saying he will find a way to get rid of Annie forever. Phillip runs out after him and sees a gun under Alan’s coat which surprises Phillip. He tells Alan he can’t do this because he loves him through thick and thin and he can’t kill someone, so Alan hands over his gun. Frank then gets a call that Annie and Lizzie have been spotted near Chicago. Alan and India stay back in case she calls again while everyone else leaves to go find them. We then see Annie and Lizzie walking into their hotel room after shopping and loving life, but Lizzie starts to wonder if she’s missed back at home. While Annie is in the shower, Lizzie calls back home and India answers. India tries to get her to say what hotel she’s at, but Lizzie doesn’t know and hangs up, saying they’re off to the ranch tomorrow to ride horses. Alan is able to trace the call and knows where she is, so he leaves to rescue Lizzie once and for all. Lizzie tells Annie she called home and talked to India, which makes Annie panic, but she tells Lizzie she isn’t mad at her for doing it. But Annie gets her to start packing their things so they can head to the ranch that night, as we see Alan and India driving to the hotel. Alan and India arrive at the hotel room just as Annie/Lizzie are leaving and India takes Lizzie as Alan blocks Annie from leaving the room. He starts to strangle her over the balcony, but the ranch hand that was visiting them earlier comes in and stops him. Annie manages to run away and the ranch hand tells Alan he’s called the cops. Lizzie and India come back out and Alan hugs her and says Annie is gone for good (7/20). I can’t believe that was Annie’s final scene, how lame. I get that they wanted to wrap up the storyline and they fired Signy Coleman, but at least give her a better, more dramatic exit!
  21. Oh you would have loved it! This was the night of Dimitri and Natalie's engagement party, but of course the reveal of Angelique changed everything, which was Helga's plan all along.
  22. Ok y'all - AMC has so many amazing storylines and moments, and this February 1992 moment is one for the record books. I believe Agnes Nixon was head writer during this time and as an 8-year old, this whole storyline is something I've never forgotten and will always remain iconic in my mind. Today, 34 years later, it's still something I can't forget. Dimitri Marick, who just saved Natalie from the well (which Janet throwing Natalie down the well was iconic in and of itself), introduced the gothic Wildwind castle. He had a secretive past where his former wife, who was believed to be dead, was actually catatonic, and during the first annual Wildwind Ball, her mother Helga surprised everyone by wheeling out an alive and functioning Angelique Marick. This whole sequence was so gothic and intriguing, as you see Erica wandering the castle with her candelabra and finding Angelique in a dark room catatonic and running out of the room scared for her life. You have Dixie and Craig (who I secretly was obsessed with when Tad was out of the picture), and you have Jeremy and Cerea (Genie Francis)... this whole series of Wildwind Ball videos was iconic. No wonder AMC was top of the ratings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f371yv2yXWQ
  23. I’m up to July 14, 1999. Cassie calls Josh and Reva’s hotel in San Cristobel, but is told no one by that name is staying there which confuses Cassie and she’s now very concerned. Meanwhile, Josh is thrown into a third world looking prison cell and told he was arrested for grand theft. Confused and angry, he pushes back and says they stole nothing, but the officer says the ring they took to the jeweler was stolen. We then see a handcuffed Reva taken to the palace, screaming about, when Olivia walks in and Reva demands to know who she is. Olivia tells her to drop the act about not knowing who she is, but Reva says she doesn’t understand. Olivia demands to know why she came back after all these years, telling her she made a grave mistake. Olivia starts to realize Reva really doesn’t remember, so she leaves and vows to get to the bottom of this before Prince Richard comes back from his trip. She then calls Reva’s house pretending to be with the kids’ school and Cassie answers. Olivia says she’s doing a survey and prods Cassie into knowing how long they’ve lived there. Cassie eventually says there was a period of time Josh and the kids lived in Italy while Reva was missing, which is exactly what Olivia wanted to know and then hangs up. Cassie realizes that was a suspicious line of questioning and is even more worried. Jim is there with her and they try to *69 (haha!) to call back, but isn’t able to because it’s not a local number. They call the operator and are able to get the area code, which makes Cassie realize it was a call from San Cristobel! She calls Blake and asks her to watch RJ for a few days because she’s going to San Cristobel to find Reva. Meanwhile at the palace, Reva finds a love letter hidden in a book that Prince Richard wrote to a woman named Catherine. Olivia comes back and Reva asks to see Richard, but Olivia says no, she’ll never get to see him. When Reva asks why, Olivia surprises her by saying if he ever sees Reva, he’ll kill her. Danny calls Edmund to help and Michelle shows him a picture of Reva and Josh, saying she’s known them her whole life and they never would have done something illegal. Edmund noticeably recognizes Reva, but hides it and says he’ll see what he can do. Edmund leaves and says to himself there is no way Reva would come back after what happened last time. Danny then says he’ll try to get an invite to the royal wedding and explains to Michelle that he’s closer to Edmund, who is the younger, wild and more casual brother. He says he doesn’t know Richard as well, who is more formal and reserved and spends a lot of time behind the castle walls, becoming a recluse after something happened years ago, of which he doesn’t know the details. Back at the prison, Josh wrestles with the guard and knocks him out, steals the keys, but Edmund arrives and knocks Josh out with a pipe. The next morning, Edmund introduces himself to Josh, who is snarky and very angry about getting knocked out. Edmund apologizes and mentions that he knows Danny Santos and just met Michelle, which surprises Josh. Edmund says he wishes he can help Josh, but the judicial system has to run its course, and he then leaves. Josh overhears the guards talking about a Catherine and her baby and how Prince Richard won’t like knowing Reva is here, which perks Josh up. At the palace, Olivia says she will help Reva leave San Cristobel if she promises never to come back, but Edmund arrives and stops her. Reva assumes he’s Richard, but Edmund corrects her and Olivia tells him that Reva doesn’t remember being in San Cristobel or who anyone is, which surprises Edmund. He pulls Olivia aside and lays into her for not telling him about Reva being back. Olivia says she believes her amnesia act and they can’t tell Richard she’s here. Edmund says he’ll take charge from here and sternly warns her not to forget who is in charge while Richard is away. He goes back in and talks to Reva, where she tells him about the dreams she’s had about the baby and how she wants to reclaim her lost years. Reva asks what she did to Richard to make him want to kill her, but Edmund laughs and says Olivia is melodramatic. Richard just insists they don’t speak of this matter and Olivia wants her wedding to go off without problems. Edmund says Reva left San Cristobel under very unusual circumstances and she will have to answer to Richard for what she did. We then see the guards take Josh out of the jail and he arrives at the palace where Reva and Josh reunite and hug. Josh tells her about what he overheard in prison and Reva thinks maybe she was a caretaker for Richard and Catherine’s child. Edmund tells Olivia he doesn’t trust Reva, no matter what name she calls herself. The guards then grab Josh and take him out of the palace. The next morning, Michelle and Danny meet the president of the bank that the Santos family owns in San Cristobel. Michelle gives him the chocolates that Carmen sent, and after he leaves, he calls Carmen. Carmen tells him that was a trial run, but next time she will send Michelle with bearer bonds. Cassie and Blake get to the airport, but Cassie realizes she doesn’t have a passport and panics because they won’t issue her a plane ticket. Blake comes up with an idea to paste a picture of Cassie over her own passport photo and pretend to be Blake to get on the plane. Of course it doesn’t work and the gate agent calls over the police and tells them they’ve broken a federal law. The police then escort Cassie and Blake out of the airport. At the police station, Blake calls Ross to help them and Cassie calls Jim. Both men get there and Cassie tells everyone about the San Cristobel ring, the strange call she got and why she has to get down there and find Reva. Ross gives Blake a hard time about making bad decisions yet again and she accuses him of being too sanctimonious, so she loudly talks about the bathtub sex they recently had, which everyone there could hear. Cassie is impressed with Blake, but Ross is slightly embarrassed. Ultimately they let the ladies go, but they confiscate Blake’s passport for 6 months and they’re not allowed to leave the country for that long too. Phillip and Harley surprise Rick and Abby by saying he talked to the hospital board and got Rick reinstated thanks to some Spaulding money pull. Color me shocked, but they finally just brought up the Bauer BBQ and Phillip says traditions can’t die and you can’t let a July 4th go without it. He brings out hamburgers to grill and puts a chef’s hat on Rick and they celebrate a late July 4th amongst the four of them (7/12 - very short scene only). Drew notices how happy Selena is and they are giddy together as Selena recounts her date with Buzz. Jesse tells Buzz about proposing to Drew, but he didn’t get to do it properly because he didn’t have a good ring. Phillip tells Alan that if Annie ever comes back to the Spaulding mansion, he’ll be forced to move Lizzie and Beth out, which Alan thinks is extreme and forces him to choose between Annie and his family. Alan says he doesn’t do ultimatums, but Phillip says he’s serious and then leaves. Annie shows up and wants to make amends with Alan, hoping it’s not too late. She starts massaging his shoulders and talks about how they can be better parents to Lizzie than Beth and Phillip. She goes on and on and Alan flips out on her, saying he would never choose her over his own family. He then says Phillip was right, she doesn’t belong in his house and she never will. Alan says he’ll continue to support her financially, but she needs to move far away from Springfield and never come back. He then opens the door and makes her leave, effectively ending whatever relationship they had left. Meanwhile, Phillip finds Beth outside and tells her about the ultimatum he gave Alan, but Beth thinks there has to be another way instead of moving them out. Phillip then says they need to get rid of Annie for good, which Lizzie overhears. Phillip and Beth go back inside and Alan tells them that he gave Annie her walking papers, which makes them both happy. Outside, Annie vows to get revenge, but Lizzie runs up to her and says her dad is planning to kill her. Annie tries to convince her that she misunderstood and he would never do that. Lizzie then tells her that Phillip plans to get her back in prison, which annoys Annie, and Lizzie cries that she’ll do anything to help her. Lizzie sneaks them back into the house and Annie realizes the code to the safe hasn’t been changed, so she opens it and takes the money inside. Lizzie is sad because she doesn’t want Annie to leave, but Annie tries to convince her that it’s for the best. Lizzie begs Annie to let her go with her because they’re each other’s favorite people. It finally gets to Annie and she agrees and they walk out of the house together. Frank and David have lunch at Company and want to build a case against Carmen. Pilar walks in and they think they could use her to help them. Bill walks in and tells Pilar about being fired from SanCorp and he’s not happy. Pilar lets it slip that she pulled strings and got him the job originally, which makes him upset because he thinks he could have gotten the job on his own and walks out of Company. David goes over to talk to Pilar and tries to be overly friendly with her to earn her trust, which seems to work for now. Bill goes to the Santos mansion and confronts Carmen and Ben about being fired from SanCorp. Bill says she made a big mistake because he’s developed a new program that would have saved them millions of dollars. Ben said it was he that fired Bill, not Carmen, but Carmen then says Vanessa came over and demanded it. Bill says he’s applying for a patent on the program and Ben realizes he’s a very smart guy, so he rehires Bill with a bigger salary. Ben wants Bill to report directly to him, and Bill agrees and rejoins SanCorp. He runs into Pilar on his way out, who apologies, and the two make up.
