Ahh interesting! That sounds like a fun storyline, I wish I could see it. From what little I could quickly find online, it sounds like Jeremy and another character I'm not familiar with - Matt Connelly - saved the two ladies in the jungle. That Woman of the Year Award scene is one of my favorites! Lucci killed it. Such a great, great episode. Totally agree about Barr. So Brooke ended up with Adam in the end. The show wisely brought Julia Barr back at the end and she and Adam reunited and got together. They were still together on AMC 2.0 reboot and Brooke was heavily used from what I remember, which was amazing.

Oh my, Edmund really is a villain! Haha - a sexy one at that. You raise a great point though - how in the world would she have SC mementos stored in a box in Springfield when (I assume) she went straight to Goshen from SC? And they're not wet... haha. Ohh what's the story with Grant and Crystal??? LOL. And I'm still so confused how Ghost Reva was even a thing. I need to go check my notes (although sadly I was not at all detailed for 1995 like I have been with 96-99)... but maybe there was a throwaway line that Josh was just having visions/dreams? I could have sworn Annie saw her though too.

Guiding Light Discussion Thread
I’m up to July 09, 1999. Buzz and Selena have their first date at the Towers and Buzz is overly nervous and fumbles everything. They realize it’s too fancy for them so they run out and go to a comfortable sports bar where they watch and bet on the horse races. They end up winning and have a great night. They spend the next day together too and have another nice kiss. Vanessa and Matt are finally back (7/07)! It’s been forever, and Vanessa’s hair is back to her shorter black color. They’re meeting Bill and Pilar for dinner, which makes Vanessa nervous given Pilar is part of the Santos family. It starts off well, but when Vanessa tells Bill there is a good job opportunity at Spaulding for him, he tells her he already accepted a job at SanCorp. Vanessa realizes it’s one of Carmen’s businesses and isn’t happy about it, saying she does not want her son involved with that company. Pilar says that Bill is brave and can do anything, to which Vanessa asks why he’s brave. Pilar mentions the shootout and then church bombing, but realizes Bill never told them about it when she sees Vanessa become irate. As they argue, Bill says people warned Vanessa about Matt being too dangerous when they first got together (which is such a weak defense/comparison to me), but Vanessa says she’s lost one child (Dinah) because she couldn’t protect her, so she’s not losing a second child. She says there’s no way in hell she’s allowing him to be with Pilar or work for SanCorp, which upsets Pilar and makes her run out of the Towers. Bill chases after her and brings her back, ordering Vanessa to apologize to her, but she doesn’t and Bill says she can’t tell him what to do with his life anymore. He’s going to continue dating Pilar and take the SanCorp job and there’s nothing she can do about it, leaving Vanessa stunned. Susan is at camp and Jim stops by to visit her. She’s miserable and wants to leave, but he won’t let her, so she says she hates him and will emancipate from him when she gets home. Jim is sad and tells her he can’t lose both Connie (his wife) and her, which makes Susan sad. They finally hug and she apologizes and he leaves. On his drive home, he calls Beth and tells her the camp was a good idea, and they make up and plan their next date, which makes Beth happy. Drew then shows up and tells Susan about Max running away, saying she never had a chance to tell Max about adopting him, which makes Susan scared for him. Drew then says she needs her help because she’s the only one that can get him to come back home. They cry together and bond over their different loves for Max and they make a pact that whoever finds him first, they have to tell him what he means to each of them. The next day, Drew and Jesse receive a letter in the mail from Max, which says he’s spending time with friends and clearing his head and he’s sorry for causing them any stress. This makes Drew happy knowing he’s alive and ok. The next morning, Beth leaves to have her quick coffee date with Jim in his car in the driveway. Lizzie wakes up and realizes she’s home alone yet again, so she calls Annie and says she’s lonely and wants to see her. Annie comes by and they play and goof around and Lizzie loves having her around. Lizzie hugs Annie just as Jim and Beth walk in, prompting Beth to ask what she’s doing there. Annie says she’s doing what she (Beth) should have been doing all along, comforting her daughter. Jim leaves for work and Annie/Beth get into it which makes Lizzie upset. Lizzie starts crying and hugs Annie, who keeps telling Beth how she’s not a great mother, when Alan walks in and tells Annie to be quiet. Lizzie says Annie is right and she was lonely and couldn’t find Beth, so she asked Annie to come over, like she had done many other times which was their little secret. That surprises Alan and Beth, but Alan is adamant that Annie leaves Lizzie alone and they can no longer see each other since Phillip won’t allow it. Beth takes Lizzie away and Alan tells Annie he’s very close to the end of his rope with her. He says if she doesn’t stay away from Lizzie, he will drop her completely, once and for all, and Annie runs out of the house crying. Danny and Michelle are at the Santos mansion packing for their honeymoon in San Cristobel when Carmen arrives. Michelle asks to speak to Carmen alone, and Carmen eventually says she wants to gift the family home in San Cristobel to her and Danny as a wedding gift, which shocks Michelle and she thanks Carmen. While alone with Dietz, it’s clear Carmen’s words to Michelle were just a ruse and she still doesn’t like her. Danny comes in and Carmen asks Michelle to deliver chocolates to a family friend in San Cristobel, which Michelle finds odd. Privately, she tells Danny she doesn’t want to deliver chocolates, but Danny says they’ve always done this on every visit and she shouldn’t worry. She shakes the box and says it doesn’t sound like chocolates, so Danny tells her to open the box. She does and it’s really chocolates, which Danny lovingly rags her about. They leave for the airport, and Carmen, having seen the chocolates be opened, tells Dietz that her plan worked - she has Michelle’s trust now, but the next time Michelle goes down to San Cristobel, there will be more than just chocolates and she will have to earn her keep if she plans to be part of the family. The next morning, Carmen and Ben are flirting and kissing at the Santos mansion when Vanessa arrives. Vanessa sees Ben and says she should have known he was connected to Carmen. Vanessa then calmly and coldly tells Carmen to stay away from her son or she’ll make her very sorry (wow, go Vanessa!). Carmen says she had no idea Bill was hired at SanCorp, but Vanessa isn’t fazed. Ben then makes a call and tells the person to fire Bill and asks Vanessa if she’s happy. Vanessa starts to leave and Carmen tells her she’s doing a great job raising a fine young man, and Vanessa thanks her, but says she wants an alive young man and leaves. Ben and Carmen start kissing again, rip each other’s clothes off and have sex on her desk. Reva and Josh are still waiting for the police the next day in San Cristobel, but sees Olivia’s picture in the newspaper. They realize she’s the secretary that is marrying Prince Richard and Reva gets amped up knowing that Olivia recognized her. A police detective finally comes and says because nothing was taken, there’s nothing they can do, which infuriates Reva and Josh. They take the ring to a local jeweler, who claims to know nothing about the ring other than it was custom-made. He says he’ll ask his other jeweler friends, and asks to keep the ring for a bit so he can continue examining it. After Reva/Josh leave, he makes a call to someone and says Reva was there and acted like she knew nothing about the ring or the child inside the ring. Later they’re walking around their resort and notice the jeweler, the detective from before and Olivia huddled together talking, which freaks them out, with Josh saying the police are now involved and they need to get out of San Cristobel immediately. Danny and Michelle arrive in San Cristobel and Michelle is amazed by the family home they’re staying in. While Danny is getting champagne, a man walks in with many gifts. Michelle assumes he’s an employee of the family, so she asks if he’s a driver, gardener, etc but Danny walks in and calls him Your Royal Highness. Michelle is so embarrassed, and Danny introduces her to Prince Edmund, who is the younger brother of Prince Richard (7/08). I have to say, this Edmund is very handsome and has a wonderful British accent. Danny and Edmund seem to be long-time friends and is happy that Danny has found a beautiful woman to marry. Edmund makes reference to Carmen and says he never got along with her, which Michelle says she can relate. They later talk about Prince Richard’s upcoming wedding and Michelle asks about Olivia on his way out, and he says she’s a very complicated woman. Later, Danny and Michelle run into Reva and Josh, who are still panicked. They’re all shocked to see each other and Michelle asks why they’re there. They officially meet Danny and I’m wondering why Danny or his family wouldn’t have recognized Reva now if they’ve been going to San Cristobel his whole life, and knows the royal family - hmm. Josh is trying to get them to leave immediately, but Reva wants to wait and get her ring back, so Michelle offers to get it for her later. Reva/Josh leave and Danny/Michelle contemplate why they were acting so weird and seemed scared for their lives. Danny then says there’s no way Michelle is going to get that ring for Reva because they’re on their honeymoon and it’s clear Reva is running from something bad. Meanwhile, Josh is packing their stuff quickly, but Reva puts her foot down and is now determined more than ever to face her past, which makes Josh angry. He says there is no way they are staying and they start running with their luggage to the car. As Michelle is trying to convince Danny there is no harm in helping Reva, they hear police sirens from their dinner table. Michelle gets up, walks to the open window and they see the police blocking Josh and Reva’s car. Everyone is shocked as they arrest Josh and Reva, separate them and put them into different cop cars, yelling out each other’s names throughout! This is actually quite entertaining, I’m really enjoying the start of San Cristobel!

LOL! I've only been watching since September, but if I had more of the background/history like y'all, maybe I'd think differently. I think Eden is a great actress and really was impressed with her scenes a few weeks ago when she discovered Valentin. I also found it odd though that she ratted out her mom to Brennan. They really do. Today showed more of that and like @CrazySexyQ , the show got me! I'm into this pairing.

I've noticed this a bit too about Blake, but that doesn't bug me too much (yet)... probably because I don't know SS's Blake, which I look forward to seeing one day. Blake was pretty good going up against Dinah and Amanda in 95-96, but she became a puddle around Ben (which I also didn't mind bc they had serious chemistry - hard to admit because Ben is so slimy haha). I recently saw a quick scene on Instagram of someone named Tori that imprisoned Blake... it looked fun to me and hopefully Blake was able to stand up to her like the good ol' days and wasn't just a damsel in distress. San Cristobel - so I'm really enjoying it more than I thought I would. I know I'm very early in, but the mystery and intrigue actually has me hooked and I never realized Danny/Michelle were part of this from the start. My initial question is how did Danny not recognize Reva from her San Cristobel days if he's spent so much time there and is good friends with Edmund. I hope they explain this. I can't tell if these people are villains or not, especially Edmund. Btw, Edmund is extremely attractive, wow! I know that's not the point, but it helps when watching LOL. I haven't met Richard yet.

What a great Friday cliffhanger! LOL at the temper tantrum that both Valentin and Carly had after their fight. Good camerawork. I can't wait to see Carly get herself out of this on Monday. I enjoyed today - it brought characters together that you normally don't see interact. Like Cody and BLQ - didn't realize they were good friends. Also unpopular opinion, but I like Joss a lot and I really enjoyed her catching onto Cassius today. Bringing up a Maxie memory that he clearly didn't remember... but he's onto her now and that was a good cliffhanger. I'm curious how they plan to keep Cassius just good enough to where he can stay on the canvas.

Ladies of London
100% agree, she's ridiculous. Like he said, she's delusional, but you're right, it's dangerous. Martha was on WWHL afterwards and said she and Margo are not friends nor speaking. The buzz was good for this show, so I'm expecting a second season. Will be curious who stays and who goes.

I’m up to July 06, 1999. *No July 4th recognition or Bauer BBQ this year - how sad! Cassie confides in Blake about how worried she is for Reva and Josh going to San Cristobel. She says she found a box in their garage with a picture of a baby which matches the baby found in Reva’s San Cristobal ring. Meanwhile, we see Reva and Josh on a plane landing in San Cristobel (finally!). And we now have our location shoot, which was filmed in Puerto Rico (7/01)! Reva and Josh walk out of the airport, smell the ocean air and get into a limo, excited to finally figure out her mystery. Reva sees a little fruit stand on the side of the road and asks the driver to stop because she recognizes it (LOL). She’s adamant she’s been there before and Josh asks the lady manning the stand if she recognizes Reva. The limo driver discreetly tells her to be quiet, so she answers no. They leave and arrive at their hotel, where Josh tries to pay for the ride, but the driver says no, it’s free, and later under his breath says “we must all pray for her” (Reva). As Reva looks around the hotel, Josh checks in, but the receptionist rudely says there is no reservation for them, they’re sold out and no other hotel is available without a reservation. Reva overhears ladies talking on the terrace about the Prince getting married soon to his executive assistant, Olivia, who apparently has been in love with him for years. Reva is intrigued by the upcoming royal wedding, but Josh gives her the bad news about the reservation and she’s determined to find a way to stay. She goes to the receptionist and he seems shocked to see her (seemingly recognizing her), and he gives her the penthouse suite right away. Josh is perplexed why his attitude instantly changed with Reva. On their way to the suite, an older lady gives Reva flowers and does a curtsy, and then we hear the receptionist make a private call and say “You’ll never believe who came back, and now she’s calling herself Reva” - Friday cliffhanger! In the room, Josh voices his concerns that it feels like they’re being watched. We then see the new character, Olivia Spencer (7/05), walk up to the receptionist, confirming that he recently called the palace, and then shows him a picture of Reva, asking if that’s the woman he called about. He says yes, he’s certain that was her, and she mutters under her breath “My God it’s true, she’s come back”, and then cripples up the photo. He tells her she’s now using a southern American accent (so I guess her accent changed after her bridge incident LOL), and also says that after everything that happened, she’d be crazy to come back. After a quick romp in the sack, Reva and Josh go back to the lobby and Reva runs into Olivia. It is very quick and Olivia isn’t friendly, but realizes that Reva doesn’t recognize her and thinks that is odd, but Reva later tells Josh that she feels like she may have known her. They then stroll the streets, walking to their dinner, and people seem to stare at Reva. At the restaurant, everyone stares at them as they sit down which starts to freak them out. Reva then asks the waiter how he knows her, because it’s obvious that he does, but he lies and says he doesn’t. Olivia happens to be there and walks out. Reva notices her, so they leave and try to follow her, but we see Olivia make a call, telling someone to keep tracking them and don’t lose them. Reva then runs into an older lady that recognizes her and says she used to live there on the island, which makes Reva and Josh happy that they’re closer to solving the mystery. Meanwhile, Olivia is now searching their penthouse suite and sees a framed photo of their family (which is weird you would take that on a vacation), and finds the ring with the crest and she says to herself that Reva must remember her days there. She asks herself why Reva always has to get and take everything, and is scared that she’ll lose everything again because of her. She vows to not let Reva do this again because she’s a stronger person now and she will keep Reva far away from her life so she won’t ruin it again. Reva and Josh then come back to the room and Olivia hides, but they realize someone has been in there snooping around and they call the police. Blake’s A/C is out, her shower is broken and she’s determined to fix it as a newly single mom. Ross happens to arrive to see the boys and he offers to help. While they’re in the bathroom, the boys (who have grown up and are being played by new actors - 7/01) are playing around and accidentally lock Ross and Blake in the bathroom. Holly takes the boys to see a movie (not knowing what happened), leaving Blake and Ross locked in together. They soon realize what’s happened and it’s actually pretty cute. They sit there on the bathroom floor reminiscing about their past milestones in life and it reminds you of the amazing chemistry these two have. Blake falls into the tub, but the cold water feels good so Ross joins her. They start playfully splashing each other and end up kissing each other passionately, while taking their clothes off. The next scene, they’re putting clothes back on and awkwardly discuss the quickie they just had. They each have an inner monologue, second guessing themselves and assuming the other didn’t really want that to happen even though they enjoyed it. They’re finally able to get the door open just as Holly and the boys walk back in. There is a funny, unintended exchange as they describe to Holly what happened, talking about how good Ross is at screwing things in and how he really knows how to work the plumbing (but not saying that they had sex). After Ross leaves, Holly keeps pressing Blake about what they did for all that time together, but Blake doesn’t tell her, even though you can tell Holly is happy about it all. Ben and Beth run into each other at the Towers and have a drink together, catching up since it’s been a long time since they last hung out. Beth goes over her issues with Jim/Susan, while Ben tells her how Blake now wants to be a single independent woman, and he’s more interested in Carmen and her businesses now. Blake then walks in and they all see each other, but she goes to the bar. Beth leaves, and then Ross and India walk in. Blake overhears Ross and India talking about getting half of her ex-husband’s money, and Blake then goes to Ben and asks him to talk to her, which is a scheme to get Ross jealous and it seems to work. Blake tells Ben about having sex with Ross in the bathroom and they discuss things in a friendly manner, with Ben telling her she should be honest with Ross about her feelings, as he gets up and leaves. Ross confirms they can reopen India’s divorce settlement because her ex-husband hid some funds. Max and Susan are each packing their things, preparing to run away, but Jim catches Susan. He searches her bag and finds a wad of cash (her savings) and realizes what she’s doing. He puts his foot down and says she’s going to the camp today. Drew and Jesse come by looking for Max, since he didn’t come home last night, and Susan lies and says she doesn’t know where he is. Drew tells her she plans to adopt him, which makes her happy. Cassie is able to finally get Susan to admit where Max is and Drew/Jesse leave for the gravesite. Meanwhile, we see Max flashing back to good times with Drew and it’s clear he’s torn up. He then gets to the gravesite and talks to his mom while he waits for Susan, but once Drew and Jesse arrive, he’s gone and she realizes her name was scratched off the tombstone, leaving her devastated. They realize he left a note for Susan saying he guesses she’s giving up on him too and she’s like everyone else. The next day, Frank tells them all that they can’t find him and Drew continues to be worried. Buzz and Selena are there for Drew and Jesse and comfort them. We then see Max walking along a highway and he pulls out a framed photo of Drew and himself and you can tell he misses her. Annie Lennox’s “Why” is playing over the background as he puts the photo away and puts out his thumb to continue hitchhiking. Meanwhile, while the music is still playing, Buzz finally asks Selena out on a proper date and she says yes. Rick was severely reprimanded by the hospital board (offscreen) and suspended for what he did with Michelle and now he and Abby are in a bad place. After a lot of yelling and arguing, Abby eventually asks if they can go to the Bauer cabin to talk and reconnect, which makes Rick happy and they kiss/cry together. Meanwhile, Michelle and Danny get away and she takes him to her favorite place - Laurel Falls. He surprises her with a ring and says he wants to get married right then and there (renew their vows). Ray then shows up, they say their vows and are officially married once again (7/02). Danny then surprises her with a magical bed in the middle of the forest (LOL) and they make love. As they’re lying there basking in the afterglow, he says he wants to take her to San Cristobel for their honeymoon.
