A little more of him:- Disney+: WandaVision
The logos on various items throughout the show are of S.W.O.R.D., the Marvel Universe's space-faring intergalactic answer to S.H.I.E.L.D. Monica Rambeau has been a government operative on and off throughout her time in Marvel Comics, like her mother before her. Some fans are speculating already that every character other than Wanda and the Vision are S.W.O.R.D. agents lost in this pocket world at her magical whim, or don't remember who they are. I'm not sure of that, but S.W.O.R.D. is clearly heavily involved. Strong Audrey Horne plotline from Twin Peaks Season 3 energy here.- Disney+: WandaVision

The reviews are great, and the first episode is a hoot. They really commit 100% to the classic sitcom thing right down to the live audience (and a great supporting bit from Deborah Jo Rupp from That 70s Show). Kathryn Hahn remains a force of nature as Agatha Harkness. Elizabeth Olsen has nailed the Mary Tyler Moore/Elizabeth Montgomery vibe. Bettany is always good. And Emma Caulfield from Buffy is almost unrecognizable in a blonde bouffant as the town queen bee. Monica Rambeau also appears when I least expected her.- The Politics Thread

And furthermore, this bill hasn't even passed a new Congress under a POTUS who hasn't taken office. It is far too soon to assume a bunch of angry socialists on Twitter = "this is the legacy of this bill that has not yet passed". There will be a media blitz over it soon enough.- The Politics Thread
That's only because people keep reposting the same news item because they don't read the thread while masturbating to nine year old pictures of Chandler Massey!- The Politics Thread
What?? This is just not an accurate statement. The bill is not even through Congress! That is when it will go much more public in the news. Nobody is gonna care that much about it outside of Rose Twitter when the vast majority of Americans get their money and when the provisions of the bill go into effect. Nor will it be the last bill. Of course they're not, and I don't pay attention to them. But I do think it's a larger messaging error. I think it needs to be 2K checks because the vast majority of the public is expecting that, and as a side note, yes, grifters like this on either side of the aisle will make hay of it. Just add the $600, which will make the people happy but also add defuse these lunatics' arguments and let them move on to the next. Meanwhile:- The Politics Thread
I think it's an honest mistake and error, but also a stupid one. Just up the amount, make the checks 2K checks and stop assuming you can explain it to death to the American people like too many Dem messengers think they can. The internal response not just in the Beltway but at Politico was massively and almost uniformly negative, which surprised me since Politico is and always will be founded on Republican values and perception. I will never trust them no matter what good reporting they sometimes do. But the fact is the bulk of the staff were outraged. And as for the riots, all mainstream reporting in media today is about the sweeping identification and mass arrests and how serious and dangerous these attacks were and could still be. There are zillions of huge long articles about how close these lunatics came to killing Congresspeople or the VP. This is not being laughed off or treated as a joke on television or in print outside of the right. Period. Meanwhile:- The Politics Thread
The Ben Shapiro column also was met with massive negative response across the Beltway, including inside Politico. I am the first person to distrust the Beltway when taking its temperature. But the presence of apologist voices in isolation or as outliers does not automatically mean "these apologist voices will be listened to by many and will soon overtake and dominate the public discourse." That simply has not happened here with the riots - the mainstream opinion and general public polling remains overwhelmingly negative. It is important not to constantly assume the other side is victorious by virtue of their still existing.- The Politics Thread

And now, an incredibly embarrassing photo shoot for the new Politico team featuring Ryan Lizza trying to look like one of the youths:- The Politics Thread

Those numbers are good for us. It means the GOP base is split down the middle. Uh-oh!- The Media/Journalism Thread
