  1. RIP to this king.
  2. It's way too common on soaps now (and GH in particular) for the entire canvas to be allied against one obvious villain who everyone knows is responsible but they can't act. So it's just day after day and scene after scene of people scowling and complaining about so and so and doing nothing but making 'plans.' Esme is no different. They all know she did it and the (white) kids are no worse for wear, so where's the story? It feels like GH (and not just GH, Y&R does this too) coddling the aged audience by reassuring them nothing much will change or impact these characters in a serious way. Too often the stories just drone along.
  3. Lynch is now denying it (in a strange way), which begs the question of how Variety of all publications could've gotten rumbled: That is weirdly cryptic, and he is known to fib. I am used to the rumors going nowhere generally, and I only entertain them when he speaks or a major publication does. So my only skepticism at this point is how Variety could've been off, if he's being truthful. Meanwhile:

  5. No, I grew up in DC. But yes, de Blasio was an idiot.
  6. I can see that happening after the pandemic, for sure.
  7. I don't know that that's true, but I haven't lived there in about five years.
  8. The Times outdoes itself:
  9. I rode those trains everyday in Brooklyn for years. Ugh.
  10. Oh my. Thanks!
  11. I will need more info to believe it is Twin Peaks-related, but it's still very exciting. (If it is the project many TP actors seemed to hint at with 'wisteria,' though, that makes me even more excited. Some are part of Lynch's repertory players, but others are very intrinsic to the show.) A summation of the wisteria posts. I'd forgotten the Carrie Page connection. https://moviehole.net/david-lynchs-wisteria-updates-cast-tease-involvement-twin-peaks-connection/
  12. They remodeled Cathy into a '70s-era feminist writer when they aged her up, I believe. That's the angle on the character.
  13. I'm with FrenchBug, it's tacky.
  14. Meanwhile:
  15. She was asked, so she responded in a very brief way. I can't fault her for that.
  16. I'd like @marceline's take on something, so I am doing the appropriate rites to summon her: I've heard some people's take that if/when Roe falls, everything else in the midterms won't matter and it will galvanize the vote against the GOP. I have serious doubts about that myself, but I wanted her fairly steadfast POV.
  17. In fairness, what has she actually done that is Sheila-level this round so far? All I see are these somewhat OTT promos and onscreen, Diane is just making some sneaky moves.
