  1. I thought this was a pretty good response to a situation that is impossibly distorted on either end of the spectrum online. What matters is the people (on either side) who badly wanted another Kent State/'68 fantasy are not going to get it.
  2. Typical Frank. And hopefully one of the last of those. It's an experience for us all.
  3. Yes, you may ask me to clarify this point. In the past Brian Frons' regime did scrap an OLTL story about gay teen bullying and made them omit the gay element, much like they quickly disposed of the Kish storyline on that show due to backlash and ratings losses. But that was over a decade ago. Frons is long gone and the network's disposition towards creative control (let alone interest in GH at all) has seemed laissez-faire at best for at least 7-8 years. While they may or may not have recently taken more interest in GH, I really doubt any new management is looking to tamp down a gay bullying subplot in the 2020s, especially as bullying and homophobic bullying has become much more relevant in the last decade-plus. The other issue is FV, and that's that for many years his budget-conscious and preferential approach to block taping actors in bulk, banking material for actor episode guarantees, etc. has caused many stories or subplots to stop and start at strange and abrupt intervals after weeks or months off. That is another key reason I think most of the Aiden thing is offscreen. FV prioritizes other stories and characters, and also clearly considers the Aiden thing a C or D-plot at best. It was clearly never meant to be a major story. And it shouldn't be as long as this kid is in the role. So I say dump it.
  4. The network vetoed a gay bullying story with Shane Morasco on OLTL almost 15 years ago. That was during Frons' tenure though, and I doubt they'd step in on that kind of relevant issue today (I also just don't think they really care enough about that kind of strenuous oversight anymore). I think it's just down to the magic of FV's guarantee/block-tape-based pacing, and also the fact that frankly the kid playing Aiden is very weak. I think there are better LGBT stories to be told on the show, but they won't be told with this kid. So I'd rather scrap the whole thing and send him off for a bit.
  5. There's no evidence yet PM's being told who to write for. And again, Aiden can't act so I see no reason to give him major story. I'd rather just dump the whole thing, send him off to some great school and recast with someone better in a year or two. I don't care about an imaginary offscreen character potentially paired with a non-actor anymore than I cared about Fen's instant one-day boyfriend on Y&R.
  6. I'd junk 'em both when this ends. I think she's passable but not a match for Mansi, who is stronger all the time.
  7. I honestly didn't care at all about what Curtis was doing before and I don't care much now - he's boring. I do think the business stuff with Drew, Nina, etc. roping Curtis and Willow in is a means to a plot end, and that is what I care about because I'm into Drew and Nina. So that aspect is somewhat intriguing to me. Sasha needs to be trampled by Comet, and if Natalia isn't going to start actively causing huge trouble both her and Blaze need to go.
  8. In fairness, what GH often forgets lately is that Anna Devane was top cop in PC and a world-saving '80s hero for a long time well before any recent craziness. Her credibility as a heroic police chief and WSB agent in the '80s and early '90s goes much further than her dark '70s origins with the DVX, IMO. Unlike pit stop rapist E.J.!
  9. Still cannot believe E.J. is the DA when he literally took Sami hostage and raped her at gunpoint in the passenger seat of his car on the side of the road over the holidays. E.J.!
  10. I would be more tolerant of it if she began actively scheming and doing straight-up nefarious shît to eventually get caught out for. If she doesn't soon she can go.
  11. We'll keep discussing it without you, don't let us keep you!
  12. Aiden is truly awful and has been since he was hired what, a year or two ago? I'm fine with less of him.
  13. Fergus was mentioned by Diane when Alexis' bar review first came up. I wasn't really watching at the time so I have no idea if he was shown or named in that period. I certainly didn't give a shít about Neil, who I vaguely recall.
  14. Seems like Mulcahey may also have made a big romance move, per the spoilers thread. It's weird like that!
  15. Wow. I wonder if it's just a cameo for the bar review story or something more. I don't know if we saw Neil's brother before.
  16. I would be for it! But I also think Drew and Nina can make a genuinely good couple without that which would handicap it for good.
  17. Please God. I never want to see that rape-spawned eugenics mutant again.
  18. I'll believe Florida (or Texas) when it happens. But I do think that yes, as always the media is oversampling the Republican, especially Trump. They need this to be a horse race and they're depressed by the thought that it isn't. It won't be a layup like 2012 was with Romney - I knew he wouldn't win, ever - but it is not what they want it to be.
  19. The death is almost certainly Old Man River Gregory, so the question remains who the newbie is.
  20. Same, really. This just isn't worth more of my time.
  21. Lord, I don't care. Of course she should probably stay silent atm, but it's not that serious unlike the time Nancy was up all night drunk tweeting about Viola Davis. She was lucky to keep her job after that. This? It's a meh for me.
  22. You beat me to it! Good old Nancy.
  23. It's too bad. Cady has had a storied love life but those two seemed like they were gonna go the distance.
  24. I love it the way it is tbh. It's such a fun throwback. But I worry Jojo Siwa will snatch it up.
