  1. Thanks for clarifying about Darryl and Frannie.
  2. The Corringtons had co-created Texas, which debuted only a few weeks after this episode (August 4, 1980), so they would have been gone by then. I believe Gabrielle Upton had taken over as HW at that time. Oh, Carl, I looked up the lyrics of the song Liza sang to Travis. It is indeed a show tune - "Come to Me, Bend to Me" from Brigadoon.
  3. Hmmm. Did Bill Foster Sr. pass away before or after Jennifer Brooks?
  4. I'm not familiar with the song. I don't know if Patsy Pease shared any scenes with John Aniston, but she has said in interviews that she certainly felt comfortable with him when they started working together on DAYS because they had already known each other for several years in New York on SFT.
  5. Yup, and she's the most famous alum of my dad's alma mater, Bedford High School in Bedford, OH. (Though she graduated 20 years after he did, LOL.)
  6. Maggie did refer to Matt as "my husband" a couple of times in these eps, so I guess they were wed by this point. I didn't think they wed until Lydia Bruce took over the role as Maggie, but it looks like I was proved wrong.
  7. Having watched eps of TD, EON and SFT in a stretch, I have to agree about the 30-minute format as well. They make every minute count and pack in lots of good stuff. It's sweet and also melancholy to see Sherry Mathis and Nikki Goulet sharing the screen. May God rest both of them. I absolutely loved hearing Sherry singing and playing piano (and WHY did no one ever cut a full album with her???). Finding ANY footage of her singing is rare indeed. Liza and Travis were such a great couple, and it probably didn't hurt that Sherry was close friends with Rod Arrants and remained so until she passed away. Also great to see Mary Stuart, Maree Cheatham, Lisa Peluso and Patsy Pease all in this episode!!! What a treasure!! Thanks to saynotoursoap and Carl for posting the episode and alerting us to its existence!!!
  8. I don't know, but had he lived, Jon-Erik might have made an interesting Miles Colby on The Colbys (with all due respect to Maxwell Caulfield).
  9. Yes, cassadine1991, those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it!!
  10. Oh, he would have fit in perfectly as a poor little rich boy on the show. You're right - I didn't even think of Joan Collins being Steven's mother when I mentioned the male model movie. Yeah, that probably would have squicked people out. LOL
  11. That's an interesting concept. He had guested on another Spelling show (Hotel, as a love interest for Emma Samms, no less) and worked with Joan Collins on the male model TV movie, but I think both of those occurred after Jack Coleman had already been cast as Steven. Maybe if he had been given a role on Dynasty - any role - he wouldn't have gone anywhere near a prop gun. Can you believe later this month marks 30 years since the freak accident that took JEH's life? Wow.
  12. When was he on ATWT the first time?
  13. Of course! Isn't that the way it always works? Or maybe RetroTV has employees following this board. Boo hiss!!!!
  14. Jack Coleman looked so...harsh in the role. Al Corley had softer facial features and a quiet demeanor, which I think worked for the sensitive Steven. Plus, I think he and PSM played off each other very well - very believable as siblings who were complete opposites but loved each other regardless.
  15. Last I saw was Althea running out of Liz's surprise bridal shower (thrown by Carolee and the other nurses) in tears. Did the poster put up episodes after that and had to take them down? Does anyone know what happened for sure?
  16. I was just watching episodes - the last I saw were from December 12 and 13, 1967, both prominently featuring Althea. I haven't had any problems. Maybe it was just an upgrade?
  17. Sounds interesting! I wonder how many of these episodes are online, if any.
  18. OK...I'll try to see some post-Gavin episodes from 1983-84 and see what I can find!!
  19. Yeah, he was good as Gabe. Never saw him on OLTL.
  20. Do you think Michael O'Leary had believable best friend chemistry with John Bolger's Phillip?
  21. Valerie Harper was on TD? When?
  22. That's as good an explanation as any! Thanks.
