Y&R 50th Anniversary - your ideas...
Traci's Abbott family book was used as the backdrop for Peter Bergman's 30th anniversary special. I found that a bit disrespectful to the other Abbotts, especially since he's not even the original actor. There's a good chance of getting back some of the Glow by Jabot kids - Brittany, Raul, J.T., and Mac (probably Kelly Krueger though, meh). I'd rather see individual visits where we can get a few days of scenes like Michael Damian's, than cameo appearances like Leslie and Lorie have made.

Underused/Misused Charachters
There's many more nepo babies on Y&R than that: Lauralee Bell Both of Kay Alden's kids (Conci had two roles, Betsy and Heather) Marissa Barton (did not know her history, thanks @Broderick) Laura Bryan Birn

There's a short clip in the vault from 1981 where Jill tells Phillip that he will eventually move into a great big house with a pool, if he'll just give her some time, and then she'll pick him up [from boarding school] and they'll live hapilly together forever. He asks her if this is about the man from the other night (at 7 years old, already on to her BS), if she's going to marry him, and then send him away forever. Jill says "does that mean you'll go?" (what a bitch!) and he says "I can't wait to leave." When Thom Bierdz starts in 1986, and Liz tells him Jill was shot, he asks if it was one of her lovers, so he's definitely well aware of his mom's tricks. There's also a scene of little Phillip at Christmas 1983 or 1984 telling Jill thanks but no thanks to a visit, he's going to a friend's.

YR Promo: 40 years of Tracey Bregman
I hope the clips are long. The scenes on BE and ED's episode were super short!

That's actually awesome! I loved her. She and Graz did some chem testing scenes in 2008.

Darlene Conley was 57 when CJ was born and she looked more matronly than any of the current women on the show.

GH looks way better. Their sets are bland and generic but they're huge and there's some depth to them. You can see that there's a foyer and stairs and more to a home. The Chancellor and Newman "estates" now look like those 2-d dioramas that you make in second grade. Just a box that can only be shot from a straight angle. All of the characters on GH seem to have homes, apartments, and offices. There's nothing glaring missing. I couldn't believe it the other day when Billy and Lily said "let's not pretend we didn't just go to our first therapy session." I was like, uh, you're actually pretending you did go. They couldn't even do it from their office with a therapist on Zoom? If they can't afford the day player then just don't even write the lines. B&B has been subtle about making the Forrester mansion and offices a little smaller and they shoot outdoors. They have the same sets and actors they show all the time so it's easier for them to manage their budget. Their action scenes don't look great, but they at least do them. The only character Y&R has spent money on is Victoria. The redress of other sets as the Newman "palazzo" (as close as we will ever get to a location ever again), the car accident and fire (and they made a shack for her!), and they brought back her house for Ashland's death. THIS is what was worth blowing their budget.

YR: Tracey Bregman 40th Anniversary
Interesting, they did it for the women, but not for Eric Braeden or Christian Le Blanc and I can't remember if they did it for Peter Bergman. Edit: They didn't do Kate Linder's but I doubt she even had dialogue, hah.

This will be the first time since she was married to Eric that Sheila will really be in a position of power in LA. That COULD be interesting if they play it right. Was all of her talk of reform BS or will she behave for a little while? Of course it was BS, but curious to see how far she'll go. It would be fun to have Bill take her to the fancy parties, if they ever have them again, in open-toed shoes of course.

I hope they show us that look that made Bell make her a vixen.

That's really good. Not just the classic stuff but also demonstrating how the show is modern and still relevant.

My recollection is when there were space problems, @ChickenNuggetz92 removed those years since they are mostly on YouTube anyway (and in my opinion, not really classics ) but that may have inadvertently excluded the "not from youtube" ones. That was before the Y&R and GL Vaults were split up though, so maybe there is room now. Are you looking for something specific? I can look at my files tonight to see if I have those ones from @Marquise

Y&R/Days: RIP Quinn Redeker
I was just noticing him all over again when Y&R re-aired the Masquerade Ball over New Year's. He made so many little gestures as the Mad Hatter that I notice something new every time despite having watched that episode so many times. He has such a gleam in his eye. Such a unique character and actor. Let us not forget he was also Academy Award nominated for co-writing the Deer Hunter.

Lol like on yesterday's show Abby mentioned her divorce being final. Like what. Aren't she and Chance billionaires with significant assets to be split and custody of a child. But it's just done, because they have no court house, no lawyers, no offices, and somehow she got the Chancellor estate, even though his mother owns it, and now she will just move in with Devon and the house won't have to be shown anymore. Chance's anger over her affair could have driven months of story and courthouse drama. Instead he's just like "oh whatever I'll go be homeless and work remotely from the coffehouse."

It would be quite funny to have Victoria knocked off her perch by finding out that she isn't named after Victor. I don't remember it ever being brought up. Summer knows, because they thought she was Jack's daughter that time. I feel like Kyle should know because articles have been written about Diane. But in those articles Diane's apparent only crime is faking her death and whatever Griffith made up offscreen. They never bring up her arson or sperm stealing.

In the 1982 clips, Nikki is pretty sure Victor is the father due to the intricacies of her cycle, but Douglas tells her that Victor is so against the idea of having children that he once attempted a vasectomy, so she decides to give it a go with Kevin. Victor had another vasectomy when he got married to Diane, and still managed to get Sabrina and Ashley pregnant later but neither baby survived.
