  1. Somebody mentioned that Eric's photographs from Africa are still on the walls of the apartment. 🙄
  2. I only hope he stays in because he tends to take more votes away from Trump than Harris. Also, CNN noted that he's already made the same offer to Trump. I saw that his son Conner just got engaged, and my first thought was that I'm certain Taylor Swift is grateful that she dodged that bullet and is no longer associated with that family. Finally, I don't know why anyone pays attention to a Colorado congress person who got less than 35,000 votes, but Lauren Boebert said today that VP Harris is the least educated presidential candidate in history. Mind you, the Vice President has a JD from UCSF, and Boebert didn't obtain a GED until 2020.
  3. I'm still stuck on my question from the other day, does Alex know that Bonnie and Hattie were in the room when his mother died? I know he was raised by Adrienne, and probably considers her as a mother figure. But, it is odd that he and Bonnie have never had a discussion about her involvement with Anjelica. My other unanswered question is if Johnny knows that Alex and Chanel had a threesome? And how long has Connie lived in that apartment if Tripp and Wendy just left for Singapore in May?
  4. At this point, I think they're just trying to find more excuses for John to be sitting for entire scenes, and staying tied up makes as much sense as anything else.
  5. I think the answer is to be like a shark and never go backward. If I miss an episode, I just skip forward, it is not very difficult to keep up with the story. Heck, I've missed years at a time and jumped right back in.
  6. I think it is a given that Kayla is not very good at taking DNA samples. So, I don't trust the results. But, if nu-Abby turns out to be Gwen (given Leo's phone call), I'm going to have a mini-fit. Also, I feel like today confirmed my new conspiracy theory. Streaming services need viewers to watch a certain portion of a show to certify it as being watched. So, I think that is why they never start the episode from the cliffhanger. For example, today, we didn't see the fallout from the accident until well into the episode. I think that they are burying the resolutions so that we have to stream it long enough to count as being watched. Finally, it is another example of my favorite game, “What time is it in Salem?” Drag race is over, Xander is waiting for the final ferry, Small Bar had its last call, but Kayla is still in the office seeing patients and the hospital lab is open and doing DNA tests.
  7. It is confusing where the roads are in Salem because everyone seems within walking distance of the square. Do they drive onto the ferry, or is the island just for walking? I mean, it seems like the only time we ever see anyone driving, we know that there will be an accident.
  8. Well, Ted was still in high school when Sofia returned in 1984, but to be honest, I don't recall him ever going to college on screen.
  9. I understand that Leo is not smart. But, doesn't he know Hattie from her adventures with Bonnie and Anjelica? Which also begs the question, does Alex know about his mother's history with Bonnie?
  10. If I may add, that is why I am so glad we're no longer having those town hall debates with undecided voters. If the Dana Bash et al. dragging JD Vance proved anything, it is that we are better served by journalists asking questions than Joe the Plumber. The only issue that I wish would get more play was his voting record while in the Senate. He did not sit on any major committees, he did not sponsor any substantive legislation, and he showed no leadership in forming a coalition.
  11. I think you've hit the nail on the head, because this is not a parody of soaps, it is a parody based on how gullible and frenzied soap fans can be. If RonC was this tortured by his audience, I hope he's found some peace now that he is out of a job. On a positive note, Deidre Hall looks great with a bolder lip color.
  12. Was Officer Goldman responsible for maintaining Abby's highlights? If so, she was very talented. And is the bracelet the one that Leo sold to Clyde, and he tried to gift to Nancy? I know the mentioned that the jewelry was fenced, but is this supposed to be the same bracelet?
  13. for those looking for the TL:DR version This was a positive for Ms Zucker's case. She argued that Alarr shouldn't be able to work as producer while the case is being tried. Mr. Alarr's attorneys countered, that since he has been fired from DAYS, this shouldn't be an issue. However, the judge ruled that the allegations are so severe that he agreed with the plaintiff (Zucker), that Alarr should not work in a managerial position until a verdict.
  14. I agree. Repeating the myth that gestational hosts would be unwilling to give the child they birth to its parents is an insult. It plays upon the falsehood that a woman's hormones override their capacity for logic and empathy. It also furthers the old soap trope that women who can't carry to term are somehow less emotionally attached to their children. I think GH did a real disservice to their audience throughout this story.
  15. DAYS needs to chill on the glass breaking sound effects and driving stunts. Both effects feel cheaper than the paper upon which Abby's DNA results are printed.
  16. My hunch is that this a fake out, and Gabi is not going to believe Connie on Monday. The character is very unlikable, and it is inexplicable how she is suddenly in everyone's face, while she went completely unnoticed for months while Gabi was in prison.
  17. My Gwen speculation was that if this turns out not to be Abby, Gwen would be the one to reveal the truth, which would lead to her redemption. Here's the proposal, Gwen returns, upset that everyone has instantly embraced Abby, while it took forever for them to accept her as part of the family. She opens the time capsule, which reveals a piece of evidence that adds to the suspicion that Abby may not be who she claims to be. All the while, working at The Spectator alongside Chad, he begins to respect her intellect and instincts. So, eventually when the truth is revealed, Chad and Gwen fall in love. And maybe someone in Salem would finally use 23&me to prove their identity. On an unrelated note, proposing that social media validates your opinion is always a loosing argument. Everyone knows that the social media algorithm only feeds you supporting information. So, to suggest that “everyone” hates Leo, or loves Marlena's wardrobe, is instantly met with derision. One would be far better served by just espousing their own opinion and stand by it, without need for validation.
  18. I'm actually surprised that Gwen is not returning because I assume that there will plenty of opportunities for her redemption now that Abby may be back. Also, Leo just mentioned her the other day.
  19. While I am all for bud nipping, I could see a world where Harding Lemay would have produced a style manual, whether formally or informally. My impression from the memoir was that AW was the first time that he managed a writing team. And I would assume it is difficult to give up dialogue writing, after writing for the theater. So, it stands to reason that he gave extensive notes on how he wanted things done. That being said, the dialogue was never so staccato during Lemay's period, and what I recall the most was that each character really had their own way of speaking. Certainly, Ada and Iris never sounded alike, and neither ever spoke only in single sentences.
  20. Sophia needs more motivation than a bad prom date. She is full-on evil at this point, and it seems to have come out of nowhere.
  21. Drugs must have a huge profit margin, which is odd when you consider the labor costs.
  22. Is Poplar Bluff the new Turkey? Do I need to go to Montana for all of my plastic surgery needs? Because if those are the results, the doctors there are very talented. Also, Clyde and Goldman have been locked up for weeks, so who is feeding Abby?
  23. So Leo is RonC's fictional surrogate? Personally, I would've chosen a character who is known to be smarter and more well-liked, but I guess the pickings were slim. At least Alex isn't writing Body & Soul. Maggie is already a poor foster parent. Who tells a teen that they won't tell their parents that they broke the rules, within the first week that they're living together? Come on, Maggie, you have to establish some boundaries! Otherwise, Holly will be kidnapping babies and taking them to Paris, like your other daughter did (which was ten times worse than what Theresa did to Victoria).
