It's that slam-bang,Smart politics we've all been waiting for. Hallelujah. She came and made a point to support our free press and show her utter disgust that the man that's been chosen to lead our nation made fun of a disabled reporter. After what happened to that disabled boy in Chicago last week, he should have come out and apologized for his behavior toward the reporter. The president is supposed to lead this country by example. All he does is act like a catty teenage girl (or boy) on Twitter, trying to go tit for tat with every individual that says something he doesn't like. If that's the case, his stubby assed fingers won't stop until 2020. The stuff about actors was elitist., but what do you expect, Streep has been on a pedestal for the last 40 + years. That doesn't discount the fact that she is 100 percent right about the reporter Trump abused verbally, or our free press. A lot of bluster is expected at these award shows. Viola Davis did the same thing. Only my opinion. @GregNYC Your response about changing Democrats that left had absolutely nothing to do with what I posted. Just saying... Speaking of leading by example, a teacher posted this in her classroom She deserves recognition for putting her students at ease in this tumultuous time. =

"Secret Storm" memories.
@Darn I know that her character's name was Nancy Vallin. I have her in the Secret Storm cast list in the Cancelled Soaps Cast List Thread. I put up info (years, something about the character) , but I haven't found out any more than the character's name. @vetsoapfan may know something about it, I think he helped with some of the info Her husband, Dolph Sweet was on Gimme A Break. I have a list of his roles on soaps if you want. Just let me know

Must be a slow week for the Kardasshian...LOL. Did they use any clips from the next segment where they were laughing and getting along just fine?- The View
Whoopi is making all the right points, and if you paid attention, you would know that Jed agreed with Whoopi, but was expressing the views of so-called Christians that insert themselves into other people's business.Jed brings in a conservative "view", but she also brings something Elisabeth didn't. Personality. She's also not judgmental like Elisabeth Hassel-hack. If you think their surge in ratings is because of them being conservative, you don't even watch the show. And I never need to think about much less see Rosie on the View as she was attempting to make the show all about her the last time she was in the cast, When that didn't work, she acted like an ass until she left. I like Rosie as a guest on sitcoms/dramas--that's it- The View
Was it me or was one of those bleeps from Whoopi "F*ck you Jedediah"? I also like that when a segment ends, they go back to a new topic without residual hostility... <coughs> Elisabeth/Rosie <coughs>.- All My Children Tribute Thread

I know, but I was just watching Designing Women, and I think Dixie Carter's spirit came shining through.- The Politics Thread
Well, with a misogynist, homophobic racist in charge, we will unfortunately be seeing so much more horrible behavior, and it will be coming from both sides. After hearing PEOTUS lie, deny and tweet his way through the last year or so, insulting everyone and anyone, you can't honestly be surprised that people are outraged with him. That said, I don't care what pigment anyone's skin is. Treating someone who is special needs in this way is horrendous, and they deserve whatever punishment is meted out to them. Whether those kids are white, black yellow or purple, doesn't matter. The fact that this country can't join together and try to heal from all the hate this past election season brought forth. The fact that our future president runs around and cries whenever he hears someone says something remotely bad about him says it all. This generation doesn't understand accountability. They don't understand empathy. I know it's not everyone's kids, but the majority of the kids in this generation barely respect themselves much less their elders as the majority of us learned. I apologize for the rant, but my niece is on the Autism Spectrum, and if anyone did something like this to her, I would be in that courtroom every day until they were brought to justice. We all understand how devastating this story must be to someone that supports Trump. Don;t worry, though, you can share your pain over it the next time Y'all get together, put on your white hoods and discuss how rough you have it, being disliked and not knowing who's standing next to you until they speak.- The View
And she schooled them in everything Kardashian on her last? day. She took her critics to task about her pop culture knowledge. Shes a very intelligent woman and she had every right to laugh at a once a week appearance. Had she been on this year, it would have been great to see her in action. I don't lean Republican, but I always saw her as the smartest woman in the room.- GH: Classic Thread

Obamacare has not been the real problem--the government needs to go in and nail Insurance companies and Big Pharmaceuticals and help the people with regulations on the cost to everyone in the country.- The View
NICOLLE WALLACE mention today..... The last two days have been great, today's especially. Whoopi and Joy were on fire today, and they speak for everyone that didn't want Herr Drumpf in charge. They've been saying it since the day he announced he was running. They call him and KAC on all their chit every day. This quintet works well for me. I love Sarah's flightiness, which releases the tension. I appreciate where Jedediah comes from--I don't agree with her often--but unlike other former hosts she hears out the other side, and sometimes actually changes her stance. As for Sunny--she's great.- Soap Opera Cast Lists and Character Guides- Cancelled and Current
Our own @jam6242 tound an article confirming that actor Tony LoBianco appeared on THE DOCTORS on July 10, 1963 with actress Marian Carr as a half starved woman that needed a transplant. The episode was titled BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER. Thanks, Jam!- GH: Classic Thread
I actually don't mind Tracey in their orbit. As they had Tracey start to actually have friends with Sabrina,I was like ..ewwww. I like that she has taken Hayden under her wing, and sees herself in her.Since her only full time kid in PC is Dillon(yawn), at least she's got something to do. I just wish she were doing the same with Lulu, whom she had been mothering until Laura came back. I'd love to see her go toe to toe with Ninny and leave her a husk after letting her have it...- GH: Classic Thread

The fact tat it was hard to watch is what made the story so enthralling. People loved Audrey and never in a hundred years expected RA to be the center of a story. She and Beradino were relevant again and viewers were so upset. After a good 15 years on the back-burner they were in the magazines, even on, I believe a cover or two. As for Jon Lindstrom, after years of small, short term roles, GH gave Ryan a twin because of Lindstrom's talent. While Audrey and Steve suffered, viewers were watching to make sure they were okay. That was "gutsy" storytelling/ --Kiki jumping on a bus--yawn --Frankles--anything --yawn --Nina marries Valentin--yawn --Droolian moves in with Alexis--vomit Stop trying to make stories for these characters work.- GH: Classic Thread
