THE DOCTORS ZIP GUNS CAN KILL 4/15/63 Dr. William Scott goes to pick up his laundry and finds the laundrywoman's son in pain. He had robbed the grocery store with a zip gun. Mrs. Steiner, the laundrywoman comes in, Dr. Scott takes the gun, Mrs. Steiner holds it on Dr. Scott, then the boy takes the zip gun and shoots Dr. Scott in the arm. Not too long after Lee and Gail were off the show for a while. That's when Susan Brown appeared as Janet Laine, Tori's mother on Santa Barbara. Then she appeared sporadically as Adelaide Fitzgibbons on ATWT. Ames was hardly used, which surprised me. In the early 80s, older characters were used frequently by Monty, especially during Luke/Laura years. I think as they shifted to the Frisco/Anna years they struggled to find story for Steve and Audrey until they (wisely) brought Tommy back to the canvas. Even then, they didn't use her enough until WR and CL came along. Ames's acting during the Ryan Chamberlain story was fantastic. I was glad PC used her in it's early years as well. I miss her, and I know she may not be in the best of health, but I wish we could see her onscreen again, if only for a few moments.

Marla Adams, currently the divine diva, Dina Abbott Mergeron has had quite an illustrious career in daytime. From her role as Belle Clemens Keefer Britton Kincaed on Secret Storm, to her other roles which include Capitol's Myrna Clegg,B&B's Beth Logan, GH's Mildred Deal ( a hit woman). Generations' Helen Mullen,and Days of Our Lives Dr. Claire McIntyre. My partner in GH cast list research ( @depboy) has found another role she played. In 1978 she apparently played David Hamilton's nosy neighbor during Dr. Lesley Webber's trial. He found the mention in DTV November 1978. @depboy :Classic SOD GH synopses Tumblr posted in May 2015 from Digest's October '78 issue mentions a "Miss O'Brien" taking the witness stand in Lesley's trial.
