DAYS: Season 60 sneak peek (2024)
CARRIE!!!! Watched it and loved it. And I see @Soapsuds is going to be happy seeing his man. I was wondering about the timeline as well since Sami ain't showing up before spring and the new writers start in the spring so thank you all for clarifying that this is not ALL of RC's writing. And I teared up seeing Hope at Doug's grave. I knew I would, but seeing it hit so different. Since my first memories of Doug was him singing to Gina to coax Hope out of her when Stefano had Hope under his control. Since her father had been mentioned on the show often enough for I saw him...he lived up to the hype for me and adored their relationship when I saw it.

10-30 I'm shocked to say it, but this week has been pretty good. 2nd only to GH. I do feel they need to stop teasing me with Ashley coming home. I love how they are doing it with the mentions. And they are updating with her treatment. But we know I will take Eileen Davidson on my screen any way I can get her. It is making me get excited for the wedding. It just makes me wonder, too, if Tucker will get a mention or should we be expecting TSJ back any time soon. So we are going with Nate has a half-brother and Amy Lewis is dying. Hmmm okay. My only question is if the brother is heading to the canvas...are any of the black characters heading out? JS. I love how Nate/Audra have really been selling it as a couple this week, and I found them so believable. Trivial moment...does Nate Dominic not fill out those jeans so well with that butt that pop? lol. And ugh at Devon interrupting Nate and Audra. But awww at him asking Nate to be his best man. It was a nice full circle moment for me because even though they have been getting along for a while, I felt the writers have managed to keep their undercurrent of tension going...which I love. The Giggly Heffa and Christine on the same side. Lord help us. lol. Though I did giggle when Phyllis was taken aback that Christine was willing to actually listen to her when she theorized that Sharon was behind it. I did find it odd Christine and Daniel was talking at Crimson Light, and it didn't sound like he was out on bail...a sign of lack of sets? God, I love Traci. She is bound and determined to get Jack and Diane back together, and I love it. So if they are faking it for Victor, I'm shaking my head. It's a shame they can't tell her. And if they are faking it, it is working because again Kyle is slowly coming back to the form. I was not at all surprised that Abby asked Sally to do her dress. I was hoping for it because it is within Sally's character on this show to do one. And it just seem a given so I was happy to see it. And then Audra made three...lol. Good to see Audra branching out to other characters and of course seeing the Audra/Sally friendship. It goes without saying...Victor is going to Victor. hehe. I've been loving him this week, too.

Amen. lol. I'm not sure how it should have been structured though if they had to keep the stories. Because I think I would feel a way if there was no mention of Sam on Friday if stuff surrounding her was moved to Thursday. I think I would have liked the continued gradualness of people finding out on Friday, too. But I feel that had to do with the writing. Specifically the tone. Because we had other stories on Thursday that did not at all take away from the Sam stuff. Also, the scenes were actually allowed to breathe. Something I did not like about Friday. Almost like they were trying to force Sam's death into some kind of C story now that I think about it. The tone was just odd for the seriousness of a death. Agree. When you have so many good episodes in one week, one does have to fall to last place. Overall, flaws aside, it really was a good week.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
NY Now that I have wiggle room...AS IF!!! LOL. I thought it was a pretty good episode. But I love CLUELESS, so I was eating up all the references. I loved the intro for this week. And the whole idea around Jessel's party...complete with outfit changes...is how a host should be...haters can stay pressed!!! And I loved watching the CLUELESS party, looking at the different outfits in the background (I see you, Cher Yellow Outfit!). Of course, this episode had to have a sourpuss. And that sourpuss's name was Brynn. SMH. Leaving the party to get a tan when she wasn't dissing the host. Stirring the pot between Erin and Jenna...which makes no sense given she's also Erin's friend. Saying one thing about Sai (and Production doing the rollback) and then mocking Ubah's accent again. Just a mess all around. Her only humanizing moment was a cameo from Gideon...who clearly still loves her. Meanwhile, there was the drama between Jenna and Erin. And it was serious, but silly. A misunderstanding of the Kandi Buress 'if I don't know we have a problem' variety. And...hmmm. I'm a little bit bias...of course lol...because I had a similar situation going on as of late and I would be the Erin. lol. So I did like Abe stepped in. As did Raquel and Jessel, and they got Jenna and Erin to mend fences. It was good to see. Though all I could think was...oooooo Brynn is going to be mad at that. BRYNN. All I can say is...well what I said above. She was just insufferable. EXCEPT for her scene with Gideon. SAI. Easily the highlight for me. Just like Gizelle is having a redemption season over on RHOP. I feel (for now) the same is happening with Sai. Though I was a fan of her last season, the turnaround has been impressive. And this episode her dealing with her mother's ashes...given what this week means to me due to my father...that was triggering, and I had a good cry. Just to see her so open and with her family...that is what I be looking for sometimes with Housewives. It was nice to see her opening up. Also good to see her husband. And this aunt of hers was hilarious. RAQUEL. The other highlight was Raquel and Ubah bonding. And what will stick with me was what Raquel said about art. Two things that I used to do that I rarely do now was art and poetry. Both of them I used to do even more than writing was a...for lack of a better word more emotional outlet. Some of the art I used to do in high school and college could take your breath away. But...I focused on my writing and living and that fell by the wayside. Though I still dream that someday when I have the modestly successful writing career of being like Clive Barker and his three houses next to each other...one for him to write in, one for him to do his art in, and one where it's just him with his family...outside of that, I don't do art anymore. So I understand Ubah and how she feels about art and Raquel thoughts on Ubah drawing as well. So that scene just really hit and resonated with me. Because sometimes I do miss art and wish I had the time and money to get back into it. I also liked Raquel being the one to get Erin to sit with Jenna. JENNA. I loved she dressed as Mel for the party!!! Other than that, it was good to see her talk about her son leaving and going about and us seeing her at work. It is so interesting how she was just so open and loose at work, but at the party she's so shy. And I guess it said something that she's so genuine that Abe basically started to form the bridge needed for her and Erin to sit and talk. ERIN. On one hand, yeah if I've been through some emotional moments and called you my friend and I tried to get ahold of you, I WOULD feel a way about seeing you online just living life. In fact...but I digress. On the other hand, given that Erin kept talking about her feelings to everyone BUT Jenna...yeah at some point even I would have to have a sit-down to talk about it. Hopefully her and Jenna will continue to grow more than my friend. UBAH. Again, all I can say was I loved her talk with Raquel. And as much as it revealed about Raquel, it revealed how Ubah copes. And I found that admirable. Of course, it looks like she does something stupid next week, but for now she was good. JESSEL. 'You're Jessel's husband? Seriously?' took me out. Not some guest thinking he has a shot with Jessel...LOL!!! But I can understand. Jessel's party was fun. And she was being fun. And I liked her outfit. I love the CLUELESS cake. And who else outside of Erin's Hampton house has truly done anything or show some money!!! Another thing we watch Housewives for. More of this please. I loved that everyone was in the spirit, too, and mostly everyone was dressed like someone from CLUELESS. So this episode...an easy fave with great personal story scenes, a bit of drama, and a cast party. I guess my only worry is that I enjoyed all the personal story scenes more than the group scenes though I LOVE the party itself...if that means sense. The girls have not found their mojo. Yet.

11-1 Zenon jokes aside, this episode felt to me like the New/Old Writers thought the technique from Thursday's episode would work twice. And...NO. The best thing about this episode was the gradual way in which the canvas started to find out that Sam was dead. Sonny and Laura walking into it. Jason telling Carly. Carly telling Drew. Jason having to sit Danny and Scout down. Alexis looking all kinds of drained, having to tell Kristina and Molly, and they of course having two different reactions. It really was giving ripple effect. And I already wonder if that undercurrent of tension that's been there between Jason and Drew since PM was writing is going to emerge again over the kids. NLG was a force. SB was still giving. DZ took some time to warm up for me, but I felt that. And the actor playing Rocco. GF is a given. Just so many people giving A game. So while last episode, I still felt there was room to breathe with everything surrounding Sam's death in spite of the other storylines going on, this episode...NOPE. I was happy I went ahead and watched it as soon as it dropped because the first drop, I am allowed to just FF through the commercials/ads. And I was extremely annoyed (Zenon joke aside) how so many other stories kept popping in, trying to kill the momentum. I really didn't care (outside of the flashback which I can admit were well done) about Robert and Holly. That honestly could have waited for another day. It was RME at being interrupted from the hospital scenes. As a Star Wars fan, I didn't mind the jokes. And we know the Zenon joke. That said...given what was going on all over this episode, the scenes with Spin, Maxie, and the kids just seem so...tone deaf. What was FV thinking? Or not. I even felt the Kristina vs Molly scene were annoying, but at least once I saw Alexis steeling herself in the doorway that would shift quickly. Though I admit that I can't believe (or can I?) that Kristina tried to make Sam's death all about her. Overall, I can't say it was a bad week, but the schizo nature is going to kill the Sam momentum if they don't quit. Awwww TBF, just about everyone thinks poison pancakes and think the mess surrounding Dixie on AMC so I can understand why someone would see it on DAYS and get triggered. Especially if RC used it the way that it was used on AMC re: out of spite.

10-31 Just WooooooW!!!! Now that had me in my feels. And regardless of other stories in the episode (Drew vs Cody, Michael having back-to-back ewww sex with Willow), I actually feel like the focus was on Sam dying and playing the start of that out beat by beat. I felt things were finally allowed to breathe IMHO. The only thing that irked me was some of the staging cuz if THE SOUP was still around, trust those overhead angles would get a shoutout. NLG played it to the hilt. And when Alexis broke down in Liz's arms, I started crying too just hearing those sobs. That resonated. So did Alexis's denial. Alexis's anger. Her crawling in the bed with the cold Sam. Just so much to enjoy in NLG's performance. And I can say the same about SB, too. He shows so much with his eyes. And his body language for the most part was actually relating. Bonus point for the moment when Lucas is talking to Alexis, Jason and Liz sharing a look. And then Liz walking him through what happened. Not only a good Liason moment, but if anyone would understand, it would be her giving the loves of her life that have died/'died.' And then Jason got to the hospital room and SB sold that for me. And that last scene...awww. I'm so happy that SB came with a Jason who can emote a lot better than he normally does. And speaking of couples, while I was not a big Jasam fan, I love that they got a montage, and it was beautiful. Feeling for their fans. Cody with money? I'm down. Now what will he do with it? Though I still feel this anger at Drew...which is projected mind you...still comes across jarring. I can't believe Michael forgave Willow. And double ewwww at him having sex with her after having sex with Sasha. The gasp I let out when Alexis talk about Sam's death in front of Dante and Rocco.

DAYS: Peacock Renews Show for Season 61
Great news!!! Giving the incoming writers a chance to show what they can do!!!
