MeTV
YAY! WKRP In Cincinnati is coming Monday, April 2nd! It will air weeknights at 9:30pm. No idea on the full lineup yet. Hope there's a real change in the schedule but it's probably just replacing Mama's Family lol. Hogan's Heroes must do damn well at 10:00PM for them Antenna TV added it in 2012. Not sure when they stopped airing it though, anyone have a rough guess? I also didn't realize until very recently that Decades and MeTV are sister stations. So it makes sense now that Decades has picked up some shows that MeTV stopped airing.

I despise her Twitter stuff. So I wasn't sure I could get into it. I can. lol. But I totally understand having a hard time with her as a person.

LOVE. So excited. Finally saw some footage so I can relax a bit. BEV! In the pie eating scene she's there on the right by Jackie, it's brief but I bring her up because in the brief scene she looks THE SAME. It's so bizarre to have ROSEANNE back.

Knots Landing
I remember kind of loathing so much of Season 11. Reading the great recaps by @YRBB brings it all back, lol I'm with Carl on how I hated Meg living with Mack and Karen. It was also sad how isolated Val was. I don't actually remember thinking that watching the season (which, it's been quite a while) but reading the recaps it's obvious how little she was used and how isolated she was. I mean, a character like Valene almost writes herself, how could no one not be interested in that? I remember being disappointed in the Michael/Eric/Linda thing. I don't know I don't remember feeling like they truly did it justice. I also felt Harold and Olivia were mostly wasted, which was a shame. I was so bored of their money woes. Olivia definitely had shades of Abby and I wish they did more with her. Betsy Palmer was always over the top and campy LOL. It worked, sort of, on Knots but it felt a bit out of place and I sort of resented how they could have Betsy Palmer come in but Lilimae was dumped. And I love whacky Betsy Palmer. But Aunt Ginny was odd. I also don't remember caring much about Amanda and it just felt so dragged out and tedious. The initial rape and the next morning followup were good but I didn't care for the hallucination thing, it felt like they weren't taking it seriously but I could be remembering wrong. I both liked and hated Tom. I loathed Mack most of the time. And I got kind of sick of Knots becoming The Greg and Paige Show, as much as I loved them, Nicolette Sheridan and William Devane. They definitely carried the show in it's later years though. But it was just ... a lot at times. Although I'd center a show around them too, they're both so damn good and interesting to watch. But Greg drained me at times lol. It was just ... a lot.

Y&R: Old Articles
Yeah, I've noticed pretty much all the soaps around 1994-1997 started a drop off. 1997-1998 being some of the worst for some, IMHO. GL took a total nosedive after a decent (all things considered based on what came after) 1997. It's weird, because around that time it's almost like the shows stopped "progressing" so to speak. I also don't think it's helped when they switched how they film/tape the show. It makes them look even more cheap than they are. A little less "real" if you will. Not to mention the total lack of a budget. Y&R and B&B still look decent for the most part. Y&R's suffering from a lack of sets though, IMHO. It's not quite as bad as the other soaps but it's starting to become more obvious.

Y&R: Old Articles
Wow, loved watching those 1999 episodes! One of my favorite years. Y&R pulled me in in 1998. I really quite enjoyed 1998-2002. 2003/2004/2005 were still fine but it was starting to veer off. And it just seemed to be a string of losing actors/characters I liked. It didn't seem like it added up at the time, but looking back it does. Looking back it feels like Jack Smith started the decline. It wasn't severe, but didn't we lose a few actors as well as several recurring characters?

That is interesting. How do you not even talk about Jackie having a kid? I don't get it. He doesn't need to be a regular or even seen at all (like Jerry). He couldn't be mentioned in passing (or maybe he is and that's not coming across)? It's strange. I get focusing on the core characters but the Andy thing is weird. Did she not realize fans wouldn't notice? Did THEY forget? I just want confirmation he still exists. It kind of sounds like he does. (And I imagine him gay and in the army, but that's me) And kind of random, but it sounds like Sandra Bernhard's appearance is in the 9th episode.

I like Tierney but there were a LOT of times Abby grated on my nerves. lol

ER Discussion Thread
LOVE ER! I used to watch the reruns on TNT because I started the show pretty late into it's run (I think it was either the season before or the season Anthony Edwards left). The last few seasons were so-so but I always really enjoyed it. Even if the show isn't terrible, it's always tough for me to enjoy it the same as I did when you had most of the original cast still around. I loved a lot of the new characters. Maura Tierney I know it's easier to watch whenever now that it's on Hulu, but Pop's been airing ER for a while now. It's nice to see it back in reruns and available for streaming.

The View
I'm so tired of Meghan turning something into a problem when there isn't one. I do applaud her for wanting to have a serious conversation and I get why she gets annoyed when Joy cracks a joke, but Joy wasn't laughing about the domestic abuse, and Meghan turned it into Joy laughing at domestic violence and then proceeded to of course play the victim. Lawd. I've tried so hard. I actually haven't been minding her as much. But then today happens. Meghan, chill girl. So, you think 1 season and done for her?

Charmed: Reboot
I could give two shits about this reboot but I wish Combs would keep her mouth shut. Even if she's right, I kind of don't like her for some reason. And it's been 12 years, she needs to get over the CW cancelling Charmed.

Netflix: One Day at a Time
Oh my god. That was such a good episode. This season definitely improved on the first. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! "Not Yet" was wonderful. I knew they wouldn't do it but yet the episode still left me questioning "would they ...." so that to me says how good the writing is. I was a mess lol. This show is so full of character development. The soap writers we have today could learn a thing or two. And it's great to see Mackenzie Phillips continue to pop in (I think she was in two episodes, could have been more). And Judy Reyes (wonder why Valerie Bertinelli hasn't guested and doesn't seem to acknowledge the show. I wonder if they think she's too much more of a 'name' and people would expect Barbara. Yet Phillips can play a counselor named Pam) Georgia Engle guest starred I noticed Kim McCullough directed an episode this season (maybe it was more than one but I only noticed her name on one episode). I think it was the Hoarders inspired episode with the garage and all of Lydia's momentos. Rita Moreno. Lawd. This woman is just amazing. I adore watching her and what this show gives her. She's just fantastic. Justina and Rita deserve Emmy's for sure. I hope they're recognized because they're just amazing actresses. I also really like the topics the show handles. It never feels overly heavy even when things get serious. They've really mastered the balance. It's very Lear-inspired but a little more light (obviously it's Lear inspired but you know what I mean). I liked the 2001 flashback episode. It gave me chills hearing about the 9/11 attack again and it feels ... bizarre to have it be part of history, if that makes sense? While I didn't lose anyone personally in 9/11, I'll never forget where I was and watching the coverage. I also really liked how much they worked in Tony Plana as Berto. It was fun to see more of him and it never felt forced. EDIT: Forgot to mention I loved the nod Elena gave to original Schneider. The vest, the phone in the rolled up shirt sleeve, the tool belt, the keys, the leaning on the door I like that Elena is a "handy ma'am"

I want to see Jackie being a mom now too. Sigh. I hope Andy still exists. I also wouldn't mind if they made him gay. Lots of fun opportunities there with Jackie smothering Andy.

"The Conners" Discussion Thread
As they should be. LOL. I never took it seriously and it's been funny to see articles on the show so focused on Dan being dead. I wonder if the EW article (which I have and read) with the blurb on Jackie being childless could mean they kill Andy off? Though I know they deal with Mark/Glenn Quinn so maybe it would be too much. I'd be surprised if they just pretended Andy didn't exist. Jerry still exists. They only reference him, from what Roseanne implied it doesn't seem we see him, but I suppose we could. There's only so much they can do in 9 episodes though. I'm glad they're bringing back as many recurring guest stars as they are. I also don't know if I buy Jackie as a life coach. But then I think about it some and they could spin it and make it funny and it could work. I could see Jackie thinking she's an excellent coach at life when her own life has been a mess.

Will & Grace Revival
I adore Molly Shannon and Val. I hate admitting I didn't even think of her when the show was announced to come back but when I read Val was back I was thrilled. I agree with you it's between her and Driver for my favorite guest star. Well, Beverly Leslie (Leslie Jordan) will always be #1 for me but Shannon and Driver are

Yeah, it won't be Trump 24/7 lol And they've already got some pushback for Roseanne being a Trump voter Like I said, I don't mind a divided house based on politics, but I'm just fearful of how they handle it. Just rip the band-aid off in the first episode and move on.

"The Conners" Discussion Thread
Gilbert is also why I'm willing to give it a chance. I expressed on here how nervous I was because of Roseanne's insane twitter rantings and Trump supporting. I'm OK with depicting a divided house but, like Will and Grace, I hope it's just the first episode and maybe a joke here and there but I don't need Roseanne stanning for Trump in all 9 episodes. Not saying it will but I just don't trust her. Personally, I'm with Carl, Vee and the others. I don't really like it. I also don't think the Roseanne Conner of the 90s would EVER vote for Trump. I'd like to see why the Roseanne Conner of today did though. It doesn't make sense to me based on the character she was. I know they're trying to appeal to that audience but IDK. We'll see how it plays out I guess. I could see Dan voting for him. I would have never imagined Roseanne voting for him. But, to be honest, several of my friends are Trump supporters, and a good half of my extended family voted for him, and honestly, I've avoided even talking about it, which isn't easy. So it is realistic for the show to do this. But is it something I want to watch because I'm living with it? The show Roseanne really never was political (but I guess in it's heyday it was a different time). I'd never have thought of what party Roseanne or Dan belonged to and I don't really care to now. Personally, it could backfire on them. I'm also not sure I care about Becky being a surrogate for Becky #2. We'll see. After watching soaps for so long I'm just over baby stories. To me, a baby story is given when the writers don't know what to do with a character anymore. It didn't always feel like that but I feel like it does now. I guess it's an attempt to be relevant and it could be a good plot line but IDK. It feels like they're trying too hard to be blue collar again when they don't have to try so hard. Are we going to get Mexican jokes because Becky works in a Mexican restaurant? I mean ... it's like Roseanne pulls these ideas out of her behind. Oh, I also hope Jackie is less Don Knotts this go-around, but seeing her facial expression while wearing the !@#$%^&*] hat and nasty woman shirt, I think they're making her the butt of the joke again. Roseanne is right, Jackie is wrong and Roseanne is overbearing about it. I'm already dreading it. I hope it plays better than I'm picturing lol. And by trying too hard, I mean, it's like they have neon lighted signs shouting how "real" they are. Flashing lights shouting "DJ HAS A BLACK DAUGHTER! AND THE MOTHER IS AWAY FIGHTING WAR" .... "BECKY WORKS IN A MEXICAN RESTAURANT! LOOK HOW POOR WE ARE!" IDK. It just kind of annoys me. Anyone else feel this way?

Will & Grace Revival
Yeah, it was still funny in parts. But easily the worst so far. Oh well. The worst is still better than some. I think this week Larry and Val (Molly Shannon) are back. Should be a better episode. Next week Vince is back.

Those photos are new to me. Yasss to Mark Jr. channeling Nana Mary lol. And yasss to Jackie in the nasty woman shirt and "the hat" ... lmao I hope the show isn't too political. It never was in the first place, though I do want them (as they obviously will it seems) to touch upon it. Aww. We get to see the garage. LOL

Will & Grace Revival
I agree, it was the worst episode by far this season. But Nick Offerman was hilarious and I agree he looked GOOD. I was impressed. He looked really good. It was a weird time to relaunch shows. I wouldn't have known it was new if my DVR hadn't recorded it. I also nearly forgot about The Amazing Race coming back this week too.

I liked hearing the cast talking about it. It's just absolutely bizarre and cool that Roseanne is coming back. I've wanted a revival for a long time. Here's a compilation of the teaser promos they released around Christmas:
