"The Conners" Discussion Thread
I have to admit I'm feeling apprehensive. I just don't know that I trust Roseanne LOL. Will and Grace picked up like no time had passed and it was the same show. I don't know that Roseanne can recapture that like W&G and Fuller House have. I mean, I hope they do but I'm becoming wary and apprehensive for some reason. I think I'm just having a hard time separating Roseanne herself from what Roseanne should be.

Will & Grace Revival
Exactly. All we did was mention it won't be every week I agree I'm Trump'd out too, beyond Trump'd out, I've stopped watching a lot of news because he's constantly the focus, I don't even go out of my way to watch Good Morning America because they spend the first 15 minutes on his tweets from the night before or the latest drama he's caused. But the show was brought back because of the election video they did and there was no way they'd not go Trump crazy in the first episode. I thought it was hilarious despite being Trump'd out. The Cheetos, the White House page talking about "the new owner", Karen pulling a Kellyanne Conway sitting on the sofa, the English to Russian dictionary and the fidget spinner ... I don't know, it worked for me.

Fuller House
It was strange. And yes, most of the episodes felt like filler. Not bad per say but again I just felt Season 2 was tighter and more focused. I don't think they've mentioned her at all in 3 seasons (maybe the first but I don't remember if they did) but I'd like it if they did. Maybe they will.

Will & Grace Revival
Grace pulling out that bag of cheetos was everything! lol But yeah they won't do this nonstop going forward. People have reviewed the first three/four episodes and it's not politically heavy like the first episode.

Will & Grace Revival
Eh, I get it, but it needed to get out of the way, especially considering their reunion video was about politics, they were going to address it, how and why would they not? It's not going to be like that every week and president jokes aside, it was still hilarious. I don't see why some are so up in arms over it. I know we want an escape but it still was to me. Trump IS a joke and deserves to be made fun of. He brings it on himself but he'll never understand that.

Will & Grace Revival
LOL it was great. So good to see the show back and picked up like they haven't missed a beat. Loved them getting the politics out of the way in the first episode. I'm sure there will be more jokes but I don't think it will be as politically focused, I saw some whining about that on social media. The jokes were great. I loved the opening game scene "hostage" "Melania?" .... "I just can't with her" "Jada Pinkett Smith" ... lmao ... Caitlyn Jenner. Jack bringing up Scandal and Shonda ... Jack on Grindr and kissing a secret service agent in the White House ... Karen sitting on the couch of the Oval Office like Kellyanne Conway ... Grace opening a bag of cheetos ... Will and Grace's pillow fight in the Oval Office ... WELCOME BACK!!

Harris should be 20 in 2017 I believe. I don't love they're de-aging her but I sort of get it. Harris fills the 'Darlene' role, Mark fills the 'DJ' role. I'm curious what ages Andy and Jerry (I disliked so much they named their kid Jerry Garcia, sorry) will be and how they're used and what their relationship will be like. I sort of imagine a Roseanne/Jackie relationship between them. People have seemed more interested in Darlene's kids and I haven't really seen anything mentioned of Andy or Jerry. I also have to agree I hope we don't get the 'mean-spirited' tone the show developed around Seasons 5/6/7. And for what it's worth, I thought 2 Broke Girls was terrible for the most part. The actresses are talented but it was nothing but one-liners back and forth, I don't know, it was hollow to me.

I've never watched Shameless and had no idea who she was lol. Guess we'll see if she's any good.

Fuller House
And it's mostly organic when they appear. I think Season 2 was better than Season 3, at this point having only watched the first 9 episodes [the rest are released later]. Season 3 isn't bad but it's a bit more ... out there and cheesy lol. But I still laugh my butt off and it's not a huge emotional investment so it's enjoyable fluff to me. Season 2 just felt tighter to me. Season 3 feels all over the place. But Episode 9 was a huge step in the right direction. The ending was great! The Gibbler house episode was a standout. I think Andrea Barber is great but she was a bit rusty this season, some of the more emotional things I don't know that she did great but when she was in classic Kimmi mode and being nuts and strange (laser tag was hilarious), she was fantastic. Looks like they quickly moved Jackson and Ramona on from their Season 2 relationships. I like Rocki, Gia's daughter. Speaking of quick ... they finally addressed Terri, Danny's wife from the first season. I liked Eva La Rue but I can see why they never bothered. Joey's kids again. Lawd. So awful and obnoxious but it all made sense for the character of Joey. Jesse and Becky's daughter is adorable. The kids playing Tommy and Pamela are well cast. I feel like Lori is playing an exaggerated version of perky Becky though ... but I lol'd at Becky in the doctor's office, that was more better.

Beverly Hills, 90210 Discussion Thread
+1 It was so bizarre to hear Donna call Brenda her best friend. I mean ... no. Donna was always Kelly's bestie. Sure she and Brenda were friends but lawd. lol. And I always found the Donna/Dylan 'friendship' lacking but they had a few moments I think and I would have liked to have seen more. Agreed completely on Val and Kelly being more like each other than they'd ever want to admit. I really loved their feud but I thought the initial beginning of it was a tad forced and contrived but overall they were so fun going back and forth with each other. @YRBB Agreed that Kelly's eating disorder storyline was well done. For a while, 90210 and MP really could craft an entertaining and soapy storyline. Also agreed that Season 5 of both shows had the cast isolated and it wasn't the same, also the casts started to become bloated.

I totally agree with the latter paragraph. It definitely seemed like that. I think the whole sex with Dylan while 'dating' Steve set the ground for her emergence (and started her shift) and not at all something Brenda would do. Didn't know that about Tiffani Thiessen! Makes sense as early Val was definitely 'well this was for Brenda so let's cross her name out and call her Val'. I guess they saw the potential for a bitch because Kelly became an annoying nag (she annoyed me a lot in Season 5, immediately being suspicious of Val and being a nag about it, the Jackie/Erin model episode she was grating ...) and Thiessen sort of took off. Watching Season 5 also keeps reminding me how much I hated how they wasted Carteris and Andrea and the whole Jesse/Andrea thing never did anything for me. Andrea/Brandon should have been the move in Season 5. Brandon/Kelly never did anything for me either.

The show did have a nice balance for a while. The College Years became a tad annoying and started a slow decline, but I still enjoy every season overall (rewatching Season 5 now as it is airing on Pop and lawd Dylan the addict got on my nerves bad and until she emerged on her own, you could have crossed Val's name for Brenda with the whole insta Dylan relationship, it would have been great Brenda/Dylan angst). MP and 90210 had some truly SOLID soapy seasons in the middles of their runs.

Knots Landing
LOL Carl. But I agree. I was never a fan of Kevin Dobson or Mack really. Keep the recaps coming @YRBB ! I'm enjoying them and realizing it's been way too long since I've watched Knots. Also to add I agree that Gary/Val sort of made Kenny/Ginger redundant. I never thought of it before but now looking back on storylines, a lot of what could have been given to Kenny/Ginger was given to Val/Gary. Also great comparison on the Gary/Abby and Gary/Val chemistry/relationship, I agree with you @YRBB

I don't get Jed leaving. Weird. This table needs stability. They had a GREAT ratings boosting panel and now Jed's gone. Stupid.

Mark, David and Darlene's son, has been cast: http://tvline.com/2017/09/07/roseanne-revival-mark-ames-mcnamara-darlene-david-son/ Taping starts in October. I'm hopeful I can attend a taping in November if my California trip pans out ...

That's how I felt but I don't mind her as much now for some reason. I still wouldn't mind her gone though. lol

I like Jed. I disagree with her more but I still like her. She's fun.

Whoopi is coming back next season. It was confirmed a week or two ago. Paula's grown on me I suppose. She seemed really nice when I saw the show in person in April and she and Sara are definitely close, that was apparent.

Just like Will & Grace, ignoring the finale is for the best

Gawd her hair is tragic. LOL. But that's cool they're filming an episode in Japan!

Will & Grace Revival
His new 'thing' is "Jackting" lol YAY! And this season got upped to 16 episodes! Although I'd kind of have preferred they kept it shorter but as long as the quality is there ...

Will & Grace Revival
I love Leslie Jordan too. He's SO good. His timing is fantastic. I'm looking forward to the revival. I'm happy that they're ignoring the finale. Much like Roseanne is ignoring theirs (and hopefully ignoring Season 9 altogether though I can see Roseanne saying the spent all the lottery winnings and are broke again but I'd be just fine ignoring it and having that be Roseanne's writing where she dreamed they were wealthy and lived the rich life and also erasing Dan's pointless character trashing "affair"). Although I think the characters became a bit cartoonish in the last few seasons (I don't mind ridiculous characters or naive characters but when I question how Jack and Karen survive in the real world it's a problem though I LOVE them of course. Like when Chrissy on Three's Company became dumber than a stump, among others) and relied way too heavily on big guest stars I still really enjoy W&G so I'm excited for the revival.

I'm happy they included Sarah too but yeah, Lecy is Becky. According to this site, Darlene and David will also have a 9 year old son they name Mark who will be 'gender creative' https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/roseanne-sitcom-revival-to-include-transgender-character

I have a Windows PC and no real issues but it's pretty new. I was running on a 10 year old computer up until a year ago, it was updated with the latest Windows version but man it was tragic. Luckily I had bought a laptop about two years ago. I browse SON on my iPhone but I'll have to check out the video heavy threads to see if I have any issues, I hadn't noticed anything before but I mostly stuck to the discussion and spoiler forums. I have a Galaxy tablet so I'll have to see on that too I don't really use it much except if I travel. (And yes, I feel very lucky I'm able to have the toys that I do ...)
