  1. Lorie left not long after Julia returned. I think Victor came to Lorie's place to talk to her and Julia hid in the closet so Victor wouldn't see her. Then a very pregnant Nikki arrived and an argument started. Julia was listening to all of this from the closet......LOL Poor Kevin Bancroft got the short end of the stick. He wanted to make his marriage to Nikki work and assumed the child was his, but Nikki wanted old prune puss and never let him forget it. Kevin had been involved with a woman named Carolyn, but he was willing to let her go to do right by Nikki. There is a clip on youtube of when Victor was presumed dead and Nikki is carrying on at the funeral and says in front of Kevin " Victor was the only man she truly loved". Ouch ! Nikki was also screaming at Julia. At the time they had Victor mentioning the age difference between him and Nikki and thought Kevin was more suited to her age wise. Boy did they forget that in time when they had him involved with younger and younger women. I wonder why the show let Christopher Holder (Kevin) go ? He always stated in interviews at the time how he loved being on the show and cast members were fond of him. He and Melody even did a Tattletales during TV couples week. I think they could have had Kevin hook up with Julia or Ashley. I noticed in the 70's the show mostly had dark haired men, in the early 80's they switched to mostly blonde men (Jack, Greg, Kevin, Cash, Lance, Lucas, Paul, Andy etc...
  2. Thanks for giving us more Leslie/Lorie/Lance & Lucas. When I see quick cuts of other scenes, I wish they hadn't edited them out. Like the Jill & Liz scene. Lorie keeps going on about how Leslie has hurt her, but she forgets she was the one who caused Leslie's mental breakdown by trying to take her first husband Brad away then writing the tell all manuscript that Vanessa got hold of. The book caused the press to hound Leslie which sent her close to another breakdown. Lance comforted her which led to the one night stand.
  3. Bond Gideons daughter posted on youtube asking if they had any footage of her mother as Jill. When Lorie was on trial for Vanessa's murder, Victor didn't like the way Lance & Lucas acted, so he secretly bought up Prentiss stock and took the company away from Lance. Lorie then reconciled with Lance and decided she wanted to get his company back. She first was going to write a scathing biography of him (Much like Leanna's Ruthless years later). She and Victor started dating seriously. Lucas & Leslie told Lorie she might be getting in over her head. Lorie then started trying to pump info out of Victor's ex wife Julia when she came back to GC. Nikki who was pregnant with Victoria at the time, was forced into a marriage to Kevin Bancroft by Victor. Victor insisted he was not the babys father and said he had a vasectomy. Nikki hated Lorie for being with Victor. I think there was a scene where the elevator in Lorie's building went out and a very pregnant Nikki climbed the stairs to confront Lorie & Victor. I believe Julia was there as well. Lorie got Victor to give her the Prentiss stock as a wedding present. On Lorie & Victor's wedding day she left him at the altar saying she still loved Lance. She had screwed over the great Victor Newman. When she returned in 2002, the writers threw her under the bus along with Julia having them fawn all over Victor. Lorie went on about how she regretted not marrying him. YUCK !
  4. Those 1979 recaps were fun to read. They go into more details than what was in the Y&R book. Erica Hope was let go around December 78 or early January 79 and Melody Thomas Scott started playing Nikki in February 79. I never knew that Snapper was that dead set against Greg marrying Nikki, but you couldn't blame him. Chris seemed to accept Nikki instantly and helped her plan their wedding and reception in the Brooks house. Chris even loaned her wedding gown to Nikki. I also thought Greg & Nikki married in November, but it was September. Another thing that was surprising was that Nikki was forced by Rose to help her dump Mr. Addisons body along the road. In the Y&R book they said it was Vince who helped Rose and that it was an alley they left it in.
  5. Here is a 1983 episode of the short lived game show GO with the casts of Search For Tomorrow & Another World.
  6. There is also a 1979 audio clip on youtube of Nikki and Greg Foster after they are first married. Nikki tells Greg she wants to be a model and mentions an ad in the paper. After Greg goes to work, Nikki calls the number and it is a fake modeling agency ran by Rose DeVille and her partner Vince. What Nikki doesn't know it is a front for a prostitution ring. On the TV Guide web site, there is a page of Melody Thomas Scott's 35th Y&R anniversary. There is a 1979 video clip on there where Rose sends Nikki to meet a Mr. Addison in a motel room about a modeling job. When she figures out he wants to sleep with her, she locks herself in the bathroom. As he pounds on the door, he suffers a heart attack and dies. The starts off a chain reaction that costs Nikki her marriage to Greg.
  7. I agree about Tom Ligon. I like him as Lucas better than John McCook as Lance. Lucas loved Lorie, but did what ever he could to help her keep her marriage to his brother. When they phased out the Foster/Brooks, I wonder if Tom Ligon was given the option to stay ? He had a brief pairing with Casey Reed. He could had been set up as a long time rival for Victor. Maybe Lucas could have hooked up with Nikki or Jill at some point.
  8. The reveal scenes aired in 1979.
  9. Found this on youtube. Donna Mills takes the Ice Bucket Challenge
  10. WOW!!!!! what great uploads. The Leslie reveal was full of high impact drama. I kept waiting for Lorie to slap Leslie or Lucas the way she was falling apart. I gather that Lance was Vanessa's favorite and Lucas didn't matter all that much. The Jack and Jill pool scene was priceless. Terry Lester was so good as Jack. I hated it when he left the show. Peter never clicked with me the way Terry did. Brenda seemed to be getting all hot and bothered when he came out in that speedo.
  11. It seems like everyone in GC knew before Lance. Lance didn't find out till 1981/82 when Dennis Cole was in the role. Brooks was aged to about 10 years old by then.
  12. 1996 was a horrible year for ATWT. All the newcomers took over.
  13. I wonder why they never brought back crazy Mari Jo Mason to torment Victor ?
  14. I never understood why Y&R never did a 2 hour special that brought back former stars to talk about their memories of the show. They could reunite William Gray Espy & Trish Stewart, Janice Lynde & Tom Hallick, JLB & John McCook, JLB & Tom Ligon, Meg Bennett & Eric Braeden, Melody Thomas Scott & Wings Hauser and Melody Thomas Scott with Chris Holder etc....
  15. I didn't realize Page Hannah was married to crusty old Lou Adler. He has to be at least 30 years older than her. He was married to 60's teen sweetheart Shelly Fabares and married her when she was like 19 and he was in his 30's back then. He and Shelly seperated in 1966 and didn't divorce till 1980.
  16. Thanks for more SFT. I hope that poster keeps uploading. Sherry Mathis is a sweetheart. I like watching her in scenes. I find Justine annoying and not attractive at all.
  17. Thanks for another great upload. I wish the person who recorded these back in the day had kept the entire episodes. I saw a glimpse of Leslie and Casey & Snapper at the end. I gather the information that Vanessa has to destroy Lorie & Lance's marriage is Leslie's pregnancy.
  18. LOL....that's true. I watched another random scene from season 10 and now Val's livingroom is a cream color. I didn't realize how many times she redecorated that house over the years.
  19. Thanks for posting more SFT. I noticed that the person on youtube who had the Liza in the snow scene, must have a fur fetish. There are tons of random soap scenes of actresses in fur coats.
  20. I thought that photo looked like they were a couple too......LOL Robert Curtis Brown appeared in 1988 on the game show Sale Of The Century and he states to Jim Perry he is an actor and that his actor friend Victor Bevine (from various soaps) suggested he come on. Victor had appeared and won on a previous episode.
  21. Thanks for posting more SFT. The Liza character seemed adrift after Travis was gone. Was it Rod Arrants choice to leave the show ? He wound up on Days then Y&R after SFT. In an interview with Rod, he said he was heartbroken when Sherry died and they had a special working relationship. Rod also remains good friends with Eileen Davidson from when he played her husband on Y&R. I know Kevin Conroy was a theater actor and did a stint on AW before taking this role on SFT, which appears to only lasted a year. He only lasted a year on Dynasty as well.I wonder if he just did soaps to supplement his income or he hated the way the characters were written and left ? He appears to no longer to do on camera acting, but has been best known as the voice of Batman in animated features for about 25 years.
  22. LOL....if you watch random clips, you will notice the livingroom will change colors and then wallpaper then no wallpaper in the foyer etc... The livingroom looked better yellow as it was in the early seasons than that weird mauve/pink color that was popular in the late 80's she redid it in. I think it was blue at one point too.
  23. Wasn't Robert Reed (aka. Mike Brady) on the show toward the end ?
  24. Thank You for posting more SFT. I can't get enough.
  25. Your right abbout Kevin Conroy as Jerry on AW. I have seen some of his episodes on youtube. I didn't watch Search when it was on and it was cancelled when I was in grade school. I have fallen in love with this show and Sherry Mathis as Liza. I eat up every episode and wish some network would rerun it, even if it's just late 70's and 80's episodes. Thanks for posting this and hope to see more.
