Agreed. I don't necessarily like Jada yet, but I feel like the effort is being made to work her around the canvas a bit and the show is actually trying to see who she has chemistry with before making her destine for a specific character. I hate to give RC any credit, but I think they are doing a fairly good job integrating her.

I actually think they are trying with Jada. We don't know a lot about her, but she has a discernible personality at least. A pushy, kind of obnoxious one, but she's not exactly bland. I can't blame her for being immediately smitten with Eric. Greg Vaughn's a hottie lol. I don't care for her and Eric, but they seem to be trying Jada with numerous guys (Eric, Rafe, Shawn). It does feel like Jada is a vague replacement for Lani though. Belle and Shawn have been lame since 1999, so it's more of the same. All the vets feel like they are in real relationships. The only "younger" people that seem to have a real relationship at this point are Brady/Chloe. A boring relationship, but I do feel like they have an actual love and desire for one another.

Perhaps we all should re think our relationships. Honestly, the Ava/Jake stuff didn't bother me because it was a way to get rid of Jake and move Ava on to a different story/sphere, so I am fine with it. Ava's most developed romantic relationship on this show was RoboJohn in 2008. And that hasn't been spoken of since nor was it more than a month or two.🤣 Johnny/Chanel's entire relationship and marriage took place off screen as well. The thing with Clyde/Nancy is you actually have to work on it to make it even slightly viable. But RC won't so it's just a pointless waist of the audience and the actor's time.

There are certain characters you can leave off screen for periods of time like John, Patch, Doug, Julie, Maggie, Victor etc. They are established. We know what they are doing off screen for the most part. If you are trying to build a relationship with two characters (especially one with a very questionable background) you have to show it to at least give the audience a little context. Now I am not advocating Clyde/Nancy having more airtime than those vets. I would rather watch John/Patch's old asses catch petty criminals at Black Patch all day. But if you are going to do a serious romance between Clyde/Nancy at least give them build up or don't do it at all. I am on the don't do it at all side. Everything Ron does overall is just so lazy.

I'd be hesitant to even call it a story. It was just a serious of several humiliating plot points. We didn't actually get to see anyone's point of view and the characters (besides Leo) air so infrequently that you have no continuity. I have no idea why Nancy would like Clyde. He gave her a stolen bracelet and they had a few dinners at the pub. That's not a relationship.

The thing about RH is he was only really good at playing Todd. He's not an awful actor or anything, but it was a lightning in a bottle character/situation. Pair that with the facts that he's now played 3 characters on the show with almost no wait in between and the overall fatigue of the audience over him playing multiple roles-it's not going to work. Cut your losses GH and bring back some people we actually want to see. FV can always bring Austin/RH back in a few years if he has to, but give the audience a break.

100% agree. Nancy was never self-conscious or insecure. I can imagine that Craig being gay can make you examine your life choices, but ick. She's coming off as a joke and Craig certainly didn't fare much better. Everything Nancy has done since her return has been outright demeaning for the character and, frankly, Patrika Darbo.

I am glad they are putting Ava in the same space with people she had a past with. They may not exactly acknowledge EJ/Ava's past, but this is clearly the characters she should have been interacting with all along. Anyway, I can say I think the kid that plays Thomas is easily the best actor on the show. I am only mildly joking.🤣 Not impressed with Alex so far, but I have to imagine this is a way to differentiate him from Ben for a few months and then Alex will become Ben without Ciara and the serial killing. I am not taking any of this characterization seriously right now. Leo/Nancy/Clyde have all got to go. I don't think anyone knows Clyde molested Jordan, but he did and it's gross they are trying to make him a romantic lead for Nancy. Can she be humiliated anymore?

@SoapsudsI don't think I have ever enjoyed a business story on Days. Maybe when Billie made her cosmetics and it intertwined with Titan and Kate? Some of the Anderson Manufacturing stories sound interesting from the 70's though. I do remember liking the Deception, ELQ, and L&B hi jinks on GH, but I think that's because I liked the characters and the business(es) seemed like plausible real-life entities. Something Dimera doesn't even pretend to be.

I don't like business stories period, but you are right this isn't a story. It's just a bunch of people having scenes about trading shares and who's CEO. I still have no idea how John's Basic Black company became Dimera owned. Stefano had underground kingdoms in Paris and was brain washing people to destroy the Bradys. He didn't have time for this nonsense and none of kids ever showed any interest in Dimera until EJ appeared. Peter, Kristen, Lexie, etc all had real jobs. Ej's a lawyer, Gabi could work for Basic Black, and Chad could get a career. I would not be sad if tomorrow they dropped everything about Dimera and never spoke of it again. I would not ask questions. Thanks! I was almost positive it wasn't a thing until (fairly) recently.

Tbh, I am unclear on pretty much everything about Dimera. What it does, why people want to be in charge, who's in charge most of the time, etc. It's not even something Stefano ever talked about for most of his run. Was it ever even mentioned before the 2010's? I assumed Stefano always made money off of shady dealings and investments.

I was wondering the same thing about AZ. Maybe AZ just understands how to use crutches better than Ali Sweeney who looked ridiculous those few days Sami had an injured ankle. I liked Shin when he was a B/C character and thought he was fine. Now that he's getting actual material it's noticeable Remington Hoffman is not a very natural actor.

On her podcast she was saying she was having an awful day because her neighbors interrupted her meditation routine. Obviously, that's a huge problem if that drives you to drink in the early am. The amount of opiates that will be prescribed for the pain alone will most likely be problematic. There is a chance she could turn this around for herself and make it a redemption story-which I hope is possible for herself and her children, but she clearly will need lots and lots of help. It was just such horrible reckless behavior. I am trying to empathize with the raw deal she was given as a child and her mental health struggles, but lots of people have awful [!@#$%^&*] happen to them. She was a famous actress. Hopefully this is a wake up call and she owns her behavior and works to fix herself.

Yeah. I don't want her burned alive either. She definitely will pay the consequences for this and probably ruined her life and career forever. I am just glad no one else was hurt because it could have been a lot worse. I guess we technically don't know if she was drunk at this point although that seems like the obvious conclusion with the liquor bottle in her cupholder. Sorry for your loss. Perhaps I should feel more empathy for her. This obviously wasn't a few too many beers at the bar on Saturday type of incident. Anne seems to have a much more serious problem. I am glad no one else was hurt and I hope she finds peace and recovery. It's just one of things that will taint my opinion of her forever.

I can't actually believe people are supporting her. It might be a very hot take, but she willful drove around drunk out of her mind at 10 am. Addiction is a very serious disease, but she put so many peoples lives at danger. Obviously, I hope she finds peace and recovery but this is awful. Just because she was really good on AW does not mean she deserves anything. As someone who had a family member who was killed by a reckless drunk driver I just don't have any sympathy.

I have always felt Guza completely lost interest in her after the initial rape story and her romance with JJ's Lucky. He still wrote for her, but it got progressively worse. Becky seems to inspire viewer loyalty, but her character doesn't seem to inspire writers. The regimes after Guza have used her because she is popular, but never in a meaningful way. I think she's always gotten pushed aside by writers faves like Courtney, Emily, Sam, even Siobhan etc. I am not sure why but she just doesn't seem to connect with the writers like she does the audience, but no one seems to want to try behind the scenes.

So I am watching Days on Peacock right now to get used to the new normal lol, and I just have to say Billy Flynn is awful playing a drunk! When I watch people on soaps play drunk I often wonder if they have ever been drunk in real life. I did laugh when he was playing with the little toothpick swords in the background though. Chad/Sonny really do have an intriguing dynamic. Idk if it's because I have a potential hookup in my head or that is what the actual show is toying with. Jada was kind of obnoxious with Xander today. People should be obnoxious with Xander, but she just came in 5 minutes ago. Calm down. I was actually annoyed by her, but she was okay with Eric. It's hard to make Jackee boring, but Days managed to do it. Paulina/Abe talking about his political career is sleep inducing. Paulina shipping Ericole is weird too. She doesn't even know them.

I MIGHT agree with the unglamourous part these days, but as the #1 (and sometimes only) VM/Brenda fan here I cannot allow my posts to have any Brenda/VM related negativity. Sorry.🤣 I still think Brenda would get more clicks than Sasha based purely on previous awesomeness, overall contributions to the world and my personal viewing experience. Honestly, I don't even care if she comes back. The ship has sorta sailed on that. It's been a long time. Perhaps you haven't heard Brenda Barrett was the second coming of Angelina Jolie and a world famous supermodel, whether you like the character or actress or not. Lol! It's not that serious. Sure, if you say so, Sasha is a big deal. Two buffoon reporters should spend their time trying to get dirt on her and wasting airtime. Since Deception is a huge company and a big deal perhaps they should have vetted more aspiring models for their spokesmodel search though. That's all I am saying.....

I'd pay for it if I didn't already have it. Maybe Peacock could make episodes available for the free app after a week or two to help entice people to get new episodes or something. I spend 4.99 on coffee most days, so I don't mind. But I would probably be annoyed if Days was the only thing I watched on Peacock and had to spend my hard earn money on something that should be free. I would still do it just to follow what is going on though.

Oh, yeah, I did hear that. I assumed there was more to it 🤣. The Original Face of Deception might be worth a lot of clicks, but not Sasha. I actually do like her crazy ass, but I also think Lucy should probably just save herself the headache and find another pretty blonde girl. The actress that plays Sasha reminds me a lot of the actress that played Abby and while Sasha and Brando were having scenes the other day I was wondering why they killed Abby off with a falling crane off screen. One of the most random, undignified deaths in the shows history😂

I am confused about why these newspaper guys care about Sasha so much. I am sure they have a reason, but I clearly wasn't paying attention, or it fell out of my mind because I didn't care lol. Well, Joss is Carly's daughter so I think hypocrisy is just in her blood. I just think, objectively, Sonny has never done anything to wrong Joss and was pretty good to her so just shut it. I would think Michael would put a stop to any Joss/Dex stuff-at least for now.

Got it. We have to make it logical lol! I swear the one looks like Spinelli a bit and I thought it was a (more) obnoxious Spinelli recast at first.😂 I have never taken to Joss or the actress. I have no problem with people disliking Sonny, but Joss in particular used to be so smug about what a good guy was even to her own father.

While watching I was sure it was at GH by the speed of in which everyone was moving back and forth from GH to the Gym and the weird side door. But it probably makes more sense that it is just very close by and everyone knew the elevators were broken, so they took the stair entrance. Since I have no definitive proof otherwise, I will continue to pretend it's next to Helena's secret lab at GH though lol.

I paid about $260/month for cable/internet for years, so $5 a month seems like nothing to me-and you don't just get Days for that price. But I definitely understand the principal of something being free now being a premium show when the quality is the exact same. Why are we going to pay for it now when it's was barely watchable for free?
