  1. Both Ruby Dee and Cicely Tyson was on Guiding Light in the 1960s.
  2. To be fair to Ronn he, like the rest of B&B's cast, had to deal with writing that also got progressively worse over the years. And unlike some of his colleagues his acting skills (or lack thereof) couldn't handle the poor quality of the writing.
  3. It might be a bit of a stretch to call him Emmerdale star though. He appeared in a handful of episodes 1979-81 as Reverend Bob Jerome.
  4. O wow, a true Broadway legend. The original Anita in West Side Story, among other things. R.I.P.
  5. I'm not excusing bad behaviour from anyone, but I suspect that there are posters here who remember Donna's behaviour from a few years ago, when she was flooding the board with posts all over the place, on-topic and (more often than not) off-topic, and back then showed no signs or even willingness to grasp that her conduct was disrupting. I haven't personally seen any of that behaviour in recent times, but my guess is that that period is still colouring people's opinion of her.
  6. Bradley's writing for both Stephanie and Brooke (the two examples in this thread) made them both into caricatures. Their dynamic was dynamite during the first years, but the writing got progressively worse and worse. It was only the fantastic rapport between SF and KKL that kept it going.
  7. To be perfectly honest, I do think those who say that have a point. I don't think it's really desirable to have people in their late 70s or early 80s in such a demanding and stressful job.
  8. I've just started "My name is Barbra". I'm on chapter seven, and she's just about to start recording her first album, and "Funny Girl" is waiting around the corner. So far it's been a great read.
  9. I have a question: Let's say that Nikki Haley keeps going through a few more primaries and then finally drops out. Then, a few weeks later, Trump collapses and dies. What will happen then? Will they (the GOP) have to start the whole process from scratch?
