  1. Anne Heche, sadly, is a hot mess again. Hoping she recovers and glad she didn’t injure anyone else in her two consecutive drunk driving accidents today. Photos taken before the crashes show the bottle right there in her cup holder. Le sigh. https://pagesix.com/2022/08/05/actress-anne-heche-severely-burned-in-fiery-car-crash/?utm_source=url_sitebuttons&utm_medium=site buttons&utm_campaign=site button
  2. The show hasn’t missed a beat since Callie left. IMHO, she was the lead. All her legal stories outshone Mariana’s workplace mess. Now it’s more of a true ensemble. I’d love to see Jude move in to The Coterie, to bring in a gay male (Gael’s bisexuality always leans more heterosexual). And I’d like Luca to become a regular and perhaps romance Davia or Kelly. I’m hoping Davia and Dennis are over for good. They really don’t work, after all.
  3. I hated Mad Marty. She killed HER DOCTOR and got away with it! It pissed me off that she got to reunite with Patrick and not pay for this crime. The doctor was NICE too!
  4. Apparently Lemay and Rauch had a hard time finding male actors they really liked. They seemed to settle for serviceable actors quite a bit, according to Lemay’s book.
  5. He did, and somewhat regretted it. Mr. Lemay was not a fan.
  6. He probably had no idea Janet existed. It was a fan who actually told him about Pat’s abortion and murder trial. He wasn’t given backgrounds on most of the characters. I think he only knew who Liz was because Nancy Wickwire had so recently departed the show. Possibly the character was still mentioned. Aunt Janet and Grandma? Who dem?
  7. Not sure. It was over 50 years ago, she wasn’t on soaps for long, didn’t make a Julianne Moore/Meg Ryan impression, and so on. Maybe she’ll do a Locher Room soon and spill tea about Mary Stuart. 😉
  8. I think it’s interesting that he’s posting screenshots and end themes as a tease to push sales of (not) his DVDs. Although at $6 a pop (plus shipping), it can’t be much profit. Too bad. I’d really like to see them.
  9. I’m dying to see the final week. How do I do that here in the US?
  10. I suppose it depends on the era of the show. I have no problem thinking of VW as the “star” of AW. When she was new to the show, though, it would’ve been Jacquie Courtney. Near the end, Jensen Buchanan was presented as the “star.” Since the show ended with VW, literally, I’m giving it to her. Shows built around one character often become ensembles when those characters go back-burner or the actors leave though. Mary Stuart was the star of SFT but not the lead at the end. If Sherry Mathis had stayed one more year, Liza would have gone out on top. And, love her or hate her, Kim Zimmer’s Reva ruled GL when the actress was on. The years she wasn’t, it was a true ensemble.
  11. Hence, the recasts. I love Catherine Burns. I’ve seen her one OLTL online, LAST SUMMER (her Oscar nom), RED SKY AT DAWN, her WALTONS ep, and a horrible Donna Mills TV-movie where Burns is her roommate. But it would’ve been a very interesting take to see her as Viki’s nemesis. Hmmmm. Maybe she could’ve pulled it off after all.
  12. Curious as to the author of WRITING FOR TELEVISION. I’d love to read a copy for several books have that particular title.
  13. Online sources have actress Barbara Ring playing Tanya Peterson, friend of Beth, date of Rick. And allegedly she’s the second Tanya, the first being Hilary Edson, later Eve Guthrie, and also Tania on GH.
  14. That certainly looks like Ponazecki.
  15. Victoria, is it a Facebook group that we can join? I’d love to see the episodes.
  16. Sheryl Lee Ralph, experiencing a career renaissance in ABBOTT ELEMENTARY, reminds me of her brief stint as Laura “Mac” MacCarthy. Imagine Mac and Hogan together!
  17. Great article about Kevin Conroy (Chase). (https://screenrant.com/batman-kevin-conroy-pride-coming-out-story-comics/?fbclid=IwAR1LTvqmX2EoOAodJwKman4XAw4WNPQsUqH23IMutGp3LBIW3D8At1l5nJY&fs=e&s=cl
  18. Candace Woolard, according to IMDb, has one credit. Period. Kathryn Weisle has over 30 guest-starting roles on prime-time, including some daytime stints I don’t recall (OLTL, Loving). Mary Jo Keenan, however, landed the sitcom NURSES after SFT. She was good, not great, and married VERY well afterwards, to ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT creator Mitchell Hurwitz. I liked her as Kat and feel that, if SFT had continued, she might’ve been in triangles with Quinn and Wendy (because Lisa Peluso did return to NY daytime after trying Hollywood) or Quinn and Cagney (who had no chemistry with Joanna Going’s Evie). Ideally, though, the younger cast would’ve been best served by bringing in Chris and Tracey Whiting, and returning Danny and TR, even if recast.
  19. When Alan and Elizabeth moved to Springfield, weren’t they staying with Jackie until they could find a house to buy? I don’t recall Hope insisting that Alan buy her another house, but I can accept it. This house, whether it be the house that Elizabeth lived in or that Hope lived in )possibly one and the same), was later retconned into being the Spaulding mansion, which had “always” been in town. My last memory of Ed’s living room was Danny and Michelle’s final showdown with Carmen
  20. Robb is right. Karen Williams brought the ice as Vicky, who was Michael’s cloning assistant (!!!), remember? When he was killed, she and Vanessa had a feud. The recast had just come off AMC playing a Caribbean character. She didn’t really bring that to Vicky, tho, and was more fire (shrieking harpy) than ice.
  21. RIP Donald May (Adam Drake).
  22. I dunno. With makeup and filters it could be the same person…
  23. Jill on KNOTS LANDING killed herself accidentally (?) after locking herself in the trunk of Gary’s car and asphyxiating. She was trying to frame Gary for kidnapping. I always felt she knew she’d die and it was a suicide. Itonically after she tried to kill Val by forcing Val at gunpoint to commit suicide by overriding on pills. Val lived though. Reva and Holly on GL both attempted suicide by jumping off the same bridge, although Holly never made it to the river. Reva lived. So did Holly. Kim Zimmer told me personally in a 1986 interview that Reva’s suicide attempt was way out of character.
