Random musings about this episode... I don’t remember why Joe Lambie left as Lloyd. He was too young for the part, but Peter Haskell was replaced also for reasons unknown to me—I assumed to make Lloyd a more viable (younger) romantic lead. Robert Reed was more age-appropriate but no competition for Lambie. Ultimately, we lost the character. Estelle was the lone Kendall for the last few months of the show. I know that the McClearys essentially replaces the Kendalls (three hunky sons, not counting married Michael), but it didn’t have to be. Louan Gideon is fine here. She looks great! Liza is written terribly out of character, but that started when she became an adulterer, as far as I’m concerned. Sherry Mathis kind of sold that, but even she couldn’t have sold this. I wonder if Liza lost Lloyd’s baby because he was on the way out? Tying her to the Kendalls long-term would’ve been good story. Who owned Liberty House? Embarrassed to admit I don’t recall. I would’ve said Estelle. Terri Eoff is great here as Suzi, much better than Matt Ashford as Cagney. She would be killed off shortly after this. Man, the body count on that side of Jo’s family: Doug Martin, Suzi’s father; Eunice Wyatt, Suzi’s mother; John Wyatt, Suzi’s stepfather; Stephanie Wyatt, Suzi’s stepmother...it’s enough to put away the family photos. I’m not even counting Warren Carter, Suzi’s ex, or Sarah Whiting, Jo’s all-of-a-sudden adopted granddaughter. It’s just a lot of death. I know Jo got Patti back during the final year, but Suzi didn’t have to go. The change of spelling from “Patti” to “Patty” bugged the hell out of me. I loved William Prince as Judge Henderson. Tim Loughrin was fine as Jerry; the scene at the fish tank is laughable though. I guess Jerry/Evie/Quinn was going to be the long-term triangle until Quinn got paired with Kat and Evie (kinda, in Jo’s dream) with Cagney at the show’s wrap-up.

This is the problem when you make assumptions of an actress having only seen her in ONE role. Jane Elliot is a goddess who can do it ALL yet was often not given that chance. Carrie was her most complex character. Tracy showed warmth when it came to her kids. And let’s not forget the atypical Elliot role, Judy Trent on KNOTS LANDING. I agree with you that Linda Dano was the PERFECT Felicia. Elliot should’ve replaced Beverlee McKinsey on GL as Alex. Carrie was long gone and she would’ve brought a greater range—and yes, heart and warmth—to the role.

Gus was supposed to be the son of Selena Davis and the late Miguel Santos. The whole Gus investigating Danny Santos storyline would’ve ended with them being revealed as half-brothers. Selena’s past relationship with Miguel was exposed for just this reason (remember when Maria Santos pushed her down the stairs as “revenge” for Selena’s tryst with Miguel and for hiding her son from him?). Selena eventually admitted that her son was a lawyer and that she’d always known his whereabouts (???). This was odd after her years-long search for her other abandoned child, Drew Jacobs. Patti D’Arbanville (Selena) had gained weight and was fired (a fate avoided by Kim Zimmer). Gus was rather hastily rewritten as the son of Alan Spaulding and some random nun. It never worked. I liked Gus but he didn’t need to be tied to anyone, and Harley didn’t need to have been married to three of Alan’s sons.

He's a little young for that hair color. It does nothing for his bloated face. "Never ages." LOL

How selfish. Like SHE owns it! Not a true fan.

Watched it. Hicks mentions that she's still recognized from RH. Coppola doesn't mention AW but might've and it was edited out.

Just rewatched a Season Three episode of MAD MEN and realized that Bert Cooper is watching SEARCH FOR TOMORROW! Stu and Marge are seen on a TV set in the background discussing Monica and Jimmy Bergman!

Falcon Crest
Billy Moses left to become William R. Moses, LOL. I think FC would've left him on the show forever if he hadn't left. He certainly would've filled the void left by Chase and given Melissa more storylines.

Primetime Soaps
YELLOW ROSE was expensive. It didn't get the ratings, either. Many prime time soaps started out as episodics and shifted to serials. YR did the opposite. The last few episodes were self-contained. A few actors, like Susan Anspach, were dropped. The much-touted Jane Russell story arc lasted...one episode. I really liked this show. I'd always wanted Cybill Shepherd to make a comeback. And she did--with MOONLIGHTING. I liked Kerrie Keane on this show too; she was added as a villainess named Caryn Cabrera. She later got a NBC prime timer, HOT PURSUIT. She was a judge on Y&R a few years back.

GL messed with its theme and graphics entirely too much in its last decade. After HOLD ON TO LOVE, we got the 10 second version, the Lifesavers version, the Moving Frames version, the Overdone Logos versions (Reva and Harley), the There Is A Destiny version, and the Katie Mac version. HOTL was far from played out; just needed new graphics.

Brandi Glanville would appreciate the child support. And, yes, Eddie and LeAnn had a reality show. Google it.

Actually, it was three daughters: Window Frame, Door Frame, and Picture Frame. The roles were cast, but their acting was deemed too wooden, and they never made it to screen, except as parts of the set and props. Jason's son, Freeze Frame, was prohibited from airing due to litigation by the J. Geils Band.
