I can't imagine GC liked the 1973 story either. Ann is basically a doormat for Nick right now. I have no recollection of her from this time although I remember the other stories. She and Nick leave together in late 1974/early 1975 (to find a cure for Ann's soap-opera disease), and when she returns alone she is after Steve.- The Doctors Discussion Thread
Gil Gerard has the "hunk" factor but his acting is way below the usual standards of the show (although better than much of the acting on current soaps). I never was interested in Alan the first time I watched him. I hope I find him more interesting this time. I'm not really looking forward to the 1974 stories. I think things pick up (for me) in 1975 though.- Soap Opera Cast Lists and Character Guides- Cancelled and Current
Great! I might have a few more but I'll wait so I can double-check there.- Soap Opera Cast Lists and Character Guides- Cancelled and Current
You're welcome! Did you already have the names for the characters that Michael Baseleon and Louise Sorel played in 1963---Al Finelli and Rose Finelli?- Soap Opera Cast Lists and Character Guides- Cancelled and Current
@slick jones Sorry if I overlooked this on your list for "The Doctors," but I came across this blurb in "The Detroit Free Press," for June 19, 1963. "Chaplain suspects head nurse is prejudiced against young Formosan nurse (Irene Sun)." Also, from April 16, 1963: "Rev. Shafer must tell man (Roy Poole) he has failed police examination."- Ratings from the 70's
Found this in the March 1, 1974, edition of Valley News (Van Nuys, CA), the daytime ratings for a two-week period ending January 27, 1974.- Another World Discussion Thread

I've long suspected that Gerald Gordon was basically playing himself on TD.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos

Martha definitely used to call Nick out on his bad behavior in the early days. I liked that better. She does get obnoxious now sometimes with the Nick worship. I even started disliking her for a while because she was going overboard with it.- The Doctors Discussion Thread
Yes, I like him with Maggie and Martha, and as uncle to Rico. I even like his adversarial relationship with John, as I think GG and PH had good acting chemistry. But there were zero romantic sparks with Redthea, the three Cathies, or Ann. I didn't watch GG on GH so I don't know whether he had chemistry with his leading ladies there.- The Doctors Discussion Thread
Gerald Gordon didn't have romantic chemistry with any of his leading ladies on TD, except for Elizabeth Hubbard. And I don't even see that anymore. It doesn't help that his character is a brute, as far as I'm concerned.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread

Slick, this is from a May 7, 1973, newspaper. I'm wondering whether they meant David Elliott, instead of David Perkins? Guess we'll find out in a few months.- The Doctors Discussion Thread
January 1964 article about the offspring/relatives of well-known entertainers getting their break on The Doctors, including Mia Farrow. She appeared in the 5-part story, "The Stone Maiden," which aired the week of August 5, 1963. https://www.newspapers.com/clip/7901659/detroit_free_press/ https://www.newspapers.com/clip/7901503/detroit_free_press/ - The Doctors Discussion Thread
