  1. No, I think she leaves (left) in early March.
  2. I believe the picture with Alice Yourman's listing is actually Alice Faye. I wasn't able to post them here but I posted pictures of Alice Yourman at the usual place. @slick jones
  3. Interview with Betty Corday, from 1967.
  4. The Nick-propping was at its worst during the Pollock era. Everything was seen from his point-of-view. He could do no wrong. At least the writers prior to the Pollocks used to have other characters occasionally call out Nick on his bad behavior. If Nick wasn't featured, all the other characters talked about him, even after GG left. It's only since the Pollocks left that he hasn't been mentioned very much. I am not looking forward to his return. Yoking Althea to Nick has ruined her character (for me).
  5. The flashbacks and endless recaps seemed to lessen after James Lipton left the writing staff.
  6. Tim O’Connor (Elliott Carson) has died. https://www.theunion.com/news/obituaries/obituary-of-timothy-j-oconnor/
  7. The description of Julie being sensuous is always how I think of her from that period. Bell wrote Lori on Y&R in a similar manner. I was disappointed with Susan's material at Y&R. Supposedly, Bell created the role of Stephanie on B&B with Susan in mind but she turned it down because she wanted to go back to Days. I guess it would have been better for her career if she had accepted it.
  8. This is an October 1974 interview with Bryna Laub, publisher of Daytime Serial Newsletter. She talks about several shows but the largest portion is regarding Susan Seaforth Hayes and the way Bill Bell wrote for the character of Julie.
  9. This is a 1973 interview with Bill Bell. It’s mostly about Y&R but he talks a bit about Days too.
  10. Interview with Bill Bell from October 1973.
  11. @slick jones A magazine article I have said that Patrick Horgan appeared on the radio version of The Road of Life in its last year (which I think was 1959). It didn’t give his character’s name.
  12. They also played the theme from "Summer of '42" under one of the Mike and Toni scenes.
  13. The Pollocks have made almost every character unlikeable. I also didn’t enjoy their obsession with the character of Nick, which still isn’t over, six months after Gerald Gordon left. Nick could do no wrong in their eyes, no matter how violent, uncaring, and/or misogynistic his behavior.
  14. Stacy is around for a couple of years.
  15. Anna lists her complaints in this article. There are SPOILERS in the article.
  16. I seem to recall that Lauri left town before Hank did. I can't remember the circumstances though.
  17. https://www.newspapers.com/clip/17098010/matthew_tobin_42nd_street/
  18. I read a sad story about his wife. He was appearing in 42nd Street in 1984, while she was being treated for cancer. She died while he was performing and he didn't learn of it until after the show ended.
  19. I enjoyed Rex though, especially his digs at "you people" at "Hope Memorial Prison." His ending kind of fizzled out though. LH tried to out-camp Matthew Tobin on several occasions but she was wasting her time. He even bit his fist when Rex was panicking.
  20. Jane played Carrie Todd as very warm, sweet, and wholesome, almost to the point that it annoyed me (until we learned about her other personalities), lol. I think Angelica on Days had a similar persona to Felicia Gallant. But I did love Linda Dano.
  21. Based on an interview with Bethel Leslie from when she was writing for The Secret Storm, I got the impression that Bethel Leslie was let go after she took time off to do the movie. She said she was told that Maggie was going to be killed off.
  22. The Pollocks have made almost all the adult characters unlikeable for me. I do still like Carolee, although she has changed. Little Erich is currently my favorite male character.
  23. Bill and Susan Hayes on Hollywood Squares, 1976. At 8:47 and 16:30.
  24. Michael Landrum, who had just left his role as Larry Kirby on How to Survive a Marriage.
