  1. I find Kat annoying but Colby plays the part well! I do like the antagonism between Kat/Eva and Kat/Leslie. Leslie has balls. I found it a bit annoying at first, but at least the writers are keeping it as a throughline. The "twist" of Eva hiding the evidence to protect Leslie was nice. I hope it's a way to keep Leslie going longer. I was afraid she'd get written into a corner and she's one of the best finds of the show. Tamara is nailing her scenes. I was losing interest in the Articulettes, but Barbara's suicide and now Sharon wanting to use the reunion to push herself at Anita's expense have me interested again. Nice to see Dani tone it down with Bill and Hayley.
  2. I hope that Tide bottle gets paid like a cast member. Shanice on the prowl! love it. I wonder who Leslie's first victim is going to be. I hope it isn't Shanice getting in the way! Bill in scenes with Doug. I'm liking the mixing of characters lately, too. Keeps the show interesting.
  3. If Billy Flynn is Cane and Dumas, this makes no sense. How long has Dumas been creating his vast fortune? Doesn't seem like it would happen within the time Cane has been offscreen. Had he started when he was in Genoa City? Or did he acquire wealth some other way and just grab up companies to throw together as a greater one? If the writers want to make him Cane, I guess that's potentially okay. Dumas however is ridiculous. I agree with others that I enjoyed this story when I thought Damian was going to be the head of this new corporation and mix it up with others. I lost interest as soon as it shifted to this Dumas nonsense. Personally, I've never liked Tucker. Of course, I was never a fan of TSJ on OLTL either. So that's probably why.
  4. Disappointed for BTG's fall, but GH's Nurses Ball deserves praise for serving the drama. Happy GH had a good week. The show needed it.
  5. Okay, these fake-outs need to stop. They annoy the heck out of me. Loving Dani's reactions though.
  6. This show is still going on about the Abbot mansion decor? Slamming my head into a wall in 3...2...1...
  7. This isn't a bad episode, but I'm finding myself not as engaged. Must be the lack of Eva and Leslie. No Nicole, Dani.
  8. Anita and Tracy were great. I hope they don't drag out the backstory too long. I normally love Leslie, but I do think today was going too far. The Nicole 2.0 part was making me lean toward not rooting for her for the first time. Vanessa was too preachy for me with Ted. When she's so messy herself, it makes it hard to not find her as a hypocrite. I liked her early on. However, I've lost interest in her character. Next week looks amazing. I can't wait. I hope their ratings keep bumping up steadily.
  9. Nicole looks great! Glad it's a Leslie, Eva day and Eva's jacket/top is fire. Mona and Shanice are definitely two of the best recurring. Shanice staring at Nicole and Ted in the background listening to their conversation made me laugh. Derek is better with Jacob today. Always great to see Jacob.
  10. I can't believe the gall of Leslie, but I love it! Makes great TV. I hope they move on from this Ashley/Derek story about having difficult adjusting to living together. I get it. It's a thing. However, the way it's being written is boring. It should have been written for comedy getting on each others nerves. Maybe it would have lightened both characters and made them people to root for. Okay. What happened to Tomas? He's improved so much this week! He is still a little dry sometimes, but I stick with him for now. I enjoy hearing his backstory and bonding with Eva. Then, of course, Eva just rocks everything.
  11. I don't understand Cady either. I was looking forward to seeing her on this show, but unfortunately not the way she's currently playing Pamela. It seems cartoonish. Something this show doesn't need if it wants to be taken seriously. Why are they letting her do that? I liked Vanessa initially, but they need to tone her down. Her hooking up and role playing with so many people is a turn off for her character for me. The Diego angle was fun. Should have left it at that. But all the others makes me have less sympathy for her. If they are going to tinker with the cast (Ted), please consider Tomas and Derek. For me they are the two that pull the show down for me. A hot Eva/Tomas/Kat triangle could work with the right actor. I think Jen Jacobs might be better if she had a better storyline. I'd give her some time and thankfully Martin has improved. Uh-oh Jacob!! Mama better not mess with you!
  12. I watched the livestream with Daphne and Trisha. Yes, DD sent Maurice a text to join them. If I remember correctly, he responded fairly quickly but DD had trouble getting him to join in on the livestream. She had trouble trying to connect with others, as well, as she did not seem to be very tech savvy. I wouldn't necessarily say Maurice declined. I thought it was cool he responded within a few minutes to her text. I doubt there was anything personal between the two in regards to the reason he was recast.
  13. Her and her sister...Hayley?? Would make Naomi have to do something nice for Hayley by reuniting them. I know there's speculation June and Hayley are related.
  14. I can't manage any interest in the "teens". Maybe it's because I don't care for kids in general. lol. Not sure the purpose of them being on so much other than strife for Martin/Smitty. Can Jacob take me in? I need rescuing.
  15. This and Nicole spraying Febreze don't bother me. When they write it into the dialogue is when it's a no for me. I'm for Kat vs Eva every day of the week!
  16. I absolutely love the idea of Krista Allen being on the show. I wouldn't saddle her with Jen though. I'd create a brand new character for her. She could be a diva who lives Beyond The Gates and is gradually seen at the country club. Then I'd do a slow roll out where the Duprees don't like her and her family because she is part of the first white family that "infiltrated" Beyond The Gates. Then slowly...and I mean slowly...expand Krista's character's family as a rival to the Duprees as some have said the show should have. A younger son to mix it up with Chelsea/Kat, a daughter to maybe run for office against Martin. Krista Allen could easily be a great matriarch for a rival family.
  17. I also think Joey will end up Ashley's father. Joey made a comment that Nicole's marriage falling apart was similar to him but without the illegitimate child. Or something like that. But I'm wondering if he used the word "illegitimate" to differentiate intentionally or maybe Jan had the baby without telling him just like Leslie claims with Ted and that was why she was acting weird with Leslie. Jan could have still been "honest with Ashley" by telling her what kind of person her father is without telling her specifically who he is. This could be another "revelation" down the line MVJ set up to keep story momentum going. We are led to believe Ashley is such a "good girl" and it turns out she's Joey's daughter. Maybe she will turn and not be so "goody-goody". Etc...another story point to go down. When Leslie said she still had more surprises and stormed off, my first thought was Eva isn't really hers. This would explain why Leslie is abandoning "her daughter" harshly with all the comments of how can she do that to her own daughter. Eva isn't her daughter she's Nicole's, so she couldn't care less about Eva. They keep going on about the DNA test...for her father...no one has ever checked to see if Leslie's DNA matches. They just assume. Why? Because Leslie said so? Maybe this ties into the theories people have that Leslie stole Eva from the hospital (since she's already proven she can sneak into hospitals as a nurse) and raised Nicole's daughter, keeping her away from the "happy couple" until she used her to destroy their happiness when she pleased. She could have done it because she wanted her own baby with Ted and it was the closest she thought she could get to having his child. Eva and Kat being twins and having that "psychic" connection Martin mentioned about Kat calling out Eva from the get-go. Just rambling...but I love this show much and how it has me interested in finding out. Does anyone care who Alexandre Dumas is at this point? Does anyone care if Liam lives or dies? Just saying... lol
  18. Those messy diner scenes were amazing. I love this kind of soap scene. Multiple characters in each others' business at the same time. So fun. And so different from Y&R that seems to only have 2 or 3 people talking to each other while the rest of the restaurant is empty. Amber has completely won me over as Eva. She's currently my fave daytimer. I can't wait to watch her continually shine. The best thing about this show compared to the others is that it...moves. Compared to Y&R and B&B where they have literally the same conversation for an entire week (sometimes weeks!), BTG doesn't feel at all repetitive. Finally. A soap soaping. Such a breath of fresh air.
  19. She'll always be Mary McKinnon to me. She is definitely a daytime legend who will be missed.
  20. I'm really curious about streaming numbers for all soaps, but especially BTG. I keep hoping that BTG gets larger streaming views. Probably just wishful thinking. However, it strikes me as the show that would have more people streaming at night after work or on weekends than the other shows. It's such a shame that arguably the two best episodes of the season so far (Thurs/Fri) were aired on a preemption week. If only it could have had the slow build for the entire week.
  21. It's daytime. There should be love (and romance) every day of the week. The fact that they are hyping up one day of "love" is hilarious!! I just want to shake my head. Clearly this show doesn't remember what it is supposed to be. Maybe someone should be forced to watch early era Bill Bell episodes to be reminded.
  22. I loved Felicia and Donna. They were two of the reasons I couldn't stop watching the show even when the writing was horrible. I was never really a fan of Rachel's unless she was sniping at Cecile (my fave character!). But Felicia and Donna (especially Anna Stuart) are AW to me. Of course, it was around the time of their arrivals that I remember I started watching the show. I was 10 in '83. For me, they were always there. I wouldn't have wanted either of them to be killed off. Rachel and Mac were okay for me but I never saw most of their relationship play or Rachel's previous work with Steve and Alice. I just saw her as there; the matriarch. Never a fan of Rachel and Carl. It made no sense whatsoever. I did like Quinn and was shocked when they killed her off. Her and Zack were just starting to become a couple I wanted to watch. She should definitely have been a fixture on the show along with her family. Carter and Thomasina I thought were fun and a great couple, too. That's the thing about being an AW fan. The show was always on the brink of greatness, but then it would shoot itself in the foot with stupid decisions from writing to cast exits, etc. They could just never quite get it together. The cast was amazing! It's the only thing that saved them for so long.
  23. I hope for a multi-year renewal, too! This is the only show I've been excited to see the next episode in forever. Considering their demos are quite decent. the initial episodes showed there is still an interest in daytime, and it has helped to boost the rest of the soap line up at times, it should be around for a while.
  24. I'm loving these new audio drama projects. Gives me hope that my soapy novel series can one day become an audio drama. www.millikenmills.com
  25. I'm shocked, too! I really like her though the writing for Summer has been horrible the past year. She's basically been whiny and in Phyllis/Daniel's stories instead of her own. Pining for Kyle is ridiculous. I can understand her not wanting to continue it. I think she'll do well elsewhere.
