If Naomi ends up being the reason Smitty and Martin lose the kids, because June and Regina decide to fight to get them back, I'm all for. Would make a great conflict and unite Smitty and Martin while protecting their kids. Leslie as Barbara's daughter would be great, but not as Vernon's. The mixing up of the Duprees is already too much. Of course, it doesn't appear Leslie has any idea, but once she finds out it will renew her rivalry with the Anita and family. Nicole being raised with wealth because of the initial girl group, but Leslie having had none of it. I do enjoy the Dani/Bill dynamic. I hope the show brings it back around to them. I'd love to see how Hayley could mix it up with others on the show instead of being stuck in Dani's shadow.

This past week has been so good on so many levels. One thing I feel this show is doing better than the others is mixing the characters up in each other's stories. Pulling Randy into Hayley and Doug/Vanessa's stories, Shanice in Bill's orbit for PT and then Derek/Ashley's mess, the group involved in Martin's secret, for examples. So tired of the other shows where maybe only 5 or 6 characters interact together for a couple months at a time. I'd love to see Randy and Doug try to take down Joey behind Vanessa's back. Of course it will end badly, but it can bring some needed drama to this money laundering mess (which I find boring). As I've said before, I'm not a fan of Vanessa being all "gansta wannabe". It's laughable to me that she thinks she can play in that league. I don't get Dani suddenly being grief stricken like it was her fault. Makes no sense. Just because she saw blood she now has completely changed her mind on the hard stance the pregnancy was fake? Doesn't seem like Dani's character. She goes all in. The Elon/Jacob dynamic is so good! I hope they explore it more. The Hawthorne's seem a bit messed up. lol. Two things that would give this show some spice for me: Derek/Jan and Elon/Leslie. Derek and Jan hit the sheets for one, regretted, interaction and then try to hide it till Ashley suspects too much and they confess. Leslie, to try and get out of all her potential legal trouble, figures out Elon isn't the best of cops and begins flirting with him so he insists Jacob drop his investigation toward Leslie, much to Jacob's dismay. Causing more rift between father and son. Can't wait to find out who is at Leslie's door and if June being the mother of Tyrell and Samantha unites Smitty/Martin to keep a hold of their kids.

I always wondered if Ashley was Joey's daughter, but now I'm thinking her father is the new "hot male" being touted as coming soon. The particular actor many are suspecting because of his friendship with MVJ. (I'm not putting his name as it could be a spoiler for those that don't want them.) I like Carlton and Nicole's chemistry! I hope it's explored. Anxious to see where the Hayley story is going. Bring the messy! lol I used to enjoy Vanessa until she got so smitten with Joey. Now I find her hard to watch. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but it rubs me the wrong way. I definitely don't see her in Joey's league and can't wait to see her get burned. The Martin/Smitty scenes have been great. I finally see a chemistry between them that I didn't feel was really there betore. Brandon has improved so much. Seems far more natural. Can't wait until we can talk about the episodes around the 200th mark! lol

He would be another great addition and a much better actor for the Eva/Kat characters than suffering through Tomas. Let Tomas be busted for trying to play both Eva and Kat and run him off. Then a new doctor shows...

Yeah, it only said "hot male" without eluding to the color of his skin. Could easily be Ted King. "Long-time soap fans" would be aware of him. I wouldn't be opposed to this. I'd be curious to see how he fits in.

The Angelica Nero never interested me whatsoever. I found it to not make any sense. I was so anxious to see the Pam/JR rivalry at Ewing and it seemed like it never really happened. There were a couple of scenes of the two arguing and then it was all over. That could have been seasons worth.

So stupid. Killing Damian was dumb and this is even worse. These decisions alone should warrant a change in regime. Yes, I know Connor is going to Days, but even if it were his choice there was no reason to kill Chance.

Never been a fan of Devon, but glad CBS is doing a crossover to support BTG. Michael should show up to be legal council for someone against Bill or Lauren show up to take a meeting with Kat/Chelsea about their line of purses.

Just replied to that post on Instagram. MVJ needs to bring him on as Eva's not-so-dead stepfather, Alan, who staged his death to escape cray-cray Dana/Leslie. Now he comes back to check on Eva. Nicole was everything yesterday. I love it when she is fierce and I agree she had Emmy worthy scenes with Bill (and others). Now Jacob is going to be the one left out of the loop from everyone as Nicole was. Poor Jacob. His own father and all the Duprees not telling him anything. I will say I've enjoyed Chelsea better the past couple days, but I'm not big on this "stalker" story.

Even though I don't watch DAYS on Peacock, I'm incredibly happy for this news. Not just one year, but two. That's amazing! It'll give them some breathing room to settle in and plan story. It will also, hopefully, give Peacock a chance to get things in order and grow as a service before the next renewal. More good news for soaps in general. Let's keep it going!

I was never an ATWT watcher, but I know how much of an impact she had on daytime. Truly a legend. So sad to see these people passing. Fewer and fewer left from "the golden age".

Ashley's already had it and I'm sure Ron would jump at the chance to write for Eileen. Personally, if Eileen came back full-time...or at least on a regular basis, I'd be all for her DID to wreck havoc with Victor/Nikki, Diane, Phyllis, Sharon. Maybe flirt with Nick (ala Kristen with John/Brady). This would be welcome instead of the constant "Billy's a failure", Victor vs Jack for the 40th year, Phyllis/Nick/Sharon for how many years?

Harsh! lol. I do think he's had his moments for sure. I enjoyed a lot of his OLTL and early, early GH when he brought some vets back, but I think he's gotten stale. With that said, I'd take him at Y&R for a 2-yr stint. Can't be worse!! That show sucks right now. This whole Cane return, murder mystery has not lived up to anything...as most of what Griffith writes doesn't. However, he would need to be back out fairly quickly before he ruins too many aspects of the show like GH and DAYS. Could you imagine if ABC has seen all the hype with BTG for being labeled "the black" soap and decided to launch their own show under the hype of the first "gay" soap? It would be petty, but hell, if it adds another soap, I'm good.

Anita also omitted that the racist/stalker was found dead after approaching Martin's kids.

I felt like this episode was a letdown after the incredible episodes all week. I expected Nicole to go off!! I mean Dani-style OTT and it just seemed...lackluster. Maybe it was done intentionally to show she isn't like Dani, but still, after all she's been through. This was the time. She reacted more at Leslie in Orphey Gene's than she did to finding out her son murdered someone and everyone knew but her. Just odd as others have said. The Smitty/Samantha scenes were well done and then Jacob/Smitty. I hate that they are "breaking up". lol Martin going to the Country Club was weird! I mean, wouldn't he want to avoid everything and everyone? NOT go to where he was harassed by the stalker who is now dead. Not a way to move on and put it behind you. Glad to see Eva in the previews for next week! Missing her. Overall a great week. I was rarely bored as I am with Chelsea and Ashley's stories.

There could be books written on this subject. Texas: Making Iris the romantic heroine. Days: Killing off Renee (Philece Sampler). The Renee/Tony/Anna triangle was fire for me when I was a kid. Plus, Renee could have been a strong, lead Dimera for decades. AW: Firing George Reinholdt and Jacquie Courtney Hiring David Canary and Linda Borgeson to try and revive the Alice/Steve/Rachel triangle. Writing out the Matthews family. (Personal opinion) Not making Nancy Frangione a featured character for the long haul and rival to Rachel and Donna. They turned Cecile into a cartoon at times with her obsession for Cass instead of the early drama for Cecile (Jamie, Blaine, Sandy). Not keeping Harding Lemay after the strike. (1988?) His short touch for the show improved it greatly. Having Jake rape Marley. Killing Ryan and Frankie. Ryan/Vicky, Cass/Frankie should have been endgame. As Jake/Paulina. Never liked Joe or his family. There are so many for AW. It could be a study all its own. lol

Unfortunately, I don't put any stock in the Emmys anymore. Long ago it stopped having real competition. To be the "winner" out of 4 shows is just sad. I miss the days of 12, 13 shows with full casts competing with well-written material. Now everything is just going through the motions.

I like seeing Vanessa involved in this mess. Maybe she should takeover as mob boss. This Martin "secret" better come out soon. They've prolonged it long enough. Especially where he's now freaking out so much. Still loving the interactions between Jacob and Smitty. I think they're becoming the best male-male friendship of the show. I hope it continues because it wasn't expected in the first few months. Dani, Dani, Dani. Always making everything so awkward but I'm glad Andre is giving it back. But why are they not just outright saying Dani's the other girl now that Dani's whole family knows?

I wanted Randy to get away and maybe show up later down the road. The way Martin is acting, it's surprising that his kids seem so "normal". With a pop like that, I'd expect them to be more neurotic.

He probably picked this up from John Paul Lavoisier when they were co-stars on OLTL and then just got worse over time. Remy was on the other day and was the one that warned Sheila that Luna had a gun, leading Sheila to go find her. He'll end up being the next "Luna-tic" of the month now.

I'd like to see Ashley spiral and be like a Kimberly from Melrose, right along with stealing a baby as said previously. Then run to her "daddy" (yes, speculation) Joey to help cover it up. lol Tyrell letting Kenny doesn't make sense either, however, it does go along the lines of the Duprees feeling like they can do whatever they want and nothing bad will happen to them...because they're Duprees. Martin's cocky. Seems Tyrell is too. Though it does seem like he would have been taught not to do that as Martin is in such a public eye as a Senator. Clearly nowadays its not safe for any Senator to open their home to anyone. Anxious for Dani's meltdown. Bring it on!

I said awhile back I'd have Liam save Steffy from Luna and Liam and Luna would take each other out so Liam would be "the hero". Didn't think it'd actually happen. I just hope they're both dead though. I like that Sheila was mixed in and tried to save Steffy. It would be nice if Sheila's character could move into a different direction. All this Sheila bashing has gotten old. Let's give Sheila a renewed rivalry with Brooke. Deacon/Sheila/Nick/Brooke/Ridge/Taylor would be a mess...lol, but I'd be for it.

They better sweep next year's Emmys even if just for being the "fresh, new, shiny" object. But truly, the show puts the others to shame with the layered storytelling and acting. Are we taking bets on who the first onscreen death will be? Kenny? Randy? Doug? Smitty? Elon? A Rando in Leslie's way?

Jacob and Smitty need to hit the sheets already. All that tension! Still find Ashley annoying, but suddenly interested in Derek. Dani backing down from Hayley? Someone's gonna pay. Glad Bill is sticking up for Hayley, finally.
