Okay, Jacob was kind of funny with whatever that hat thing is! Martin and Smitty's family including June and Regina were great scenes. Definitely felt like a soap Christmas. Even Cascade doesn't take the holidays off. I hope it gets paid well as a recurring character.

What is going on with the writing for Naomi and Jacob? It's like the scriptwriters think two different things are happening at the same time and depending on which ones are writing depends on if the couple has moved on or still fighting. I'm getting neck pains from Naomi's hot/cold whiplash and it needs to stop. It's getting old already. Tyrell and June today was well done as are the Anita scenes. A bit of a downer story at Christmas, but maybe the show was hoping more people might be checking it out during the holidays.

I do hope they will correct this with S2. I think Greg Vaughan coming on is a step in the right direction. I think they missed the boat with Cady McClain. She could have been a powerhouse addition even if recurring (think of the airtime Jon Lindstrom gets on recurring) but they wasted her with that cartoon character Pamela. Cady should have been a friend of the Duprees who stands up for them and goes toe to toe with Bill, Leslie, etc. Cady has the chops to pull it off, but I just can't take her seriously as Pamela with that stupid accent. They should definitely consider actors with soap experience for shorter term roles. They can come in prepared from the beginning instead of having to learn on the fly. The Hawthorne matriarch should be cast and with an established soap actress. And I agree that letting Ben Gavin and Alex Alegria go would be great steps to improving this show from an acting standpoint. The writing at times...another story.

I hope this new fashion house is something long term and not another blip for two months. Katie, Hope, Deke, Will, (with Eric helping) going against Forrester would be great. I miss the "classic B&B" with Sally vs Forrester and even with Jackie vs Forrester. Too much to hope for, I know.

Greg Vaughan said in an interview he is recurring (at least for now) and is still commuting from Texas for work. I do wonder what the point of Nicole and Carleton were this week if the writers were leaning towards Nicole and Kial. It made no sense. It seemed like Nicole was regressing by going back to Carleton. Hadn't they just agreed to go to Winterfest as friends and then she's making out with him on her living room floor. Weird. I don't want to see Dani and Bill back together yet, either. I enjoy Dani and Andre and there is no reason for Dani to leave him right now. Of course, if something from his past comes about to put a wrench in that I could see a Dani/BIll hookup behind Andre and Hayley's backs. That might be fun and messy. I'm tired of Vanessa and Joey. I'm starting to eyeroll every time I see them now. Vanessa is a character I've never understood. I loved her early on when she was a smart business woman, essentially confident in herself, and hooking up whenever she wanted. In control of her life, but now she's a whiny mess who is letting Joey dictate everything she does. I don't like it. The story needs to move forward. I'd rather see Joey involved with backing Bill against Martin for congress than watch him saddled with Vanessa. The Hawthorne matriarch should definitely be in the picture. It should be an established actress to be another lead. She could be a force who is down-to-earth and doesn't like Anita's "lavish" lifestyle, putting them at odds. Add some more tension between Jacob and Naomi's families. Debbi Morgan could be perfect. The show definitely needs a second major family. I'm curious to see where Leslie and Marcel go. Are they really falling for each other or are they each trying to play the other? Will Leslie think she's smarter than the cop? Will Marcel be the first to get her to slip up? I'm here for it.

Tamara Tunie doing a possible breast cancer story. I'm for it...if they write it responsibly and not like the latest B&B stories where someone is dying for months to just suddenly live. With that said, no I do not want Anita to die, but this could be a big story if written well. Joey backing Bill against Martin for Congress?? Please let this happen! This could be a great umbrella story that brings in just about everyone. Hayley's former partner in crime? Uh oh. Again, this could be good. I'm suddenly reinvigorated for this show with these potential stories. Don't let me down BTG. lol

I just came here to see if this was posted. I was never a big Luke fan, but I can appreciate what he did for the genre. Such a legend. RIP.

This week has been the first time in a long time I actually liked Kat. I think they've done better at having her point of view explained in regards to Eva. I hope she continues to get better writing. I like Bill upping the ante with Tomas about Kat and Kat putting on the brakes. If they don't get married, he's out at the law firm? Maybe this will be the exit of Tomas? I can hope, but it's a nice conflict. After being all lovey with Jacob at Winterfest, Naomi is now back to struggling with Jacob? She's being written hot and cold and it's not doing her any favors. Chelsea and Madison made up quick! I like them together, but since the Holiday was made out to be such a disaster I would have thought the reconciliation might be a bit longer. Leslie/Marcel is interesting. Who's going to be better at playing the other? Overall I think the past two weeks for the show have moved them in a much more positive direction after sputtering for a bit. Can't wait to see how the next couple of weeks go.

This Hayley "kill Bill" story makes me laugh. I was so excited when it started because it was a great twist and made Hayley far more interesting. Now it seems to be played for comedy. If she's such a successful con artist who has gotten away with this several times in the past, how can she be so stupid at times? I guess she and Randy haven't been that successful and that's why they have to try and pull off another one. lol Kial and Nicole are hot! I am all in for them already. I hope yesterday's episode with Ashley and Derek calling somewhat of a truce is a sign this couple is moving on...out of each others' orbits. S2 really needs to send Ashley in a different direction. She's still not working, though I enjoy her a bit better away from Derek and Andre.

Interesting concept. Personally, I prefer longer content but maybe it's because I'm from the older generation. lol. Either way, I hope it works. Seeing P&G at least trying makes me happy. This can only lead to more positive things if it's successful. I kind of agree that if P&G didn't see BTG as having been a success with its launch it wouldn't be trying other forms of "soap".

Today's episode was much better. I was a lot more invested. Anita/Bill were great! Hayley and Randy with their Marv and Harry from Home Alone caper. I enjoyed Dani and Andre. Vanessa and Anastasia were a bit over the top, but at least comedic. Really the only downside for me was the Chelsea/Madison story. Not because they are a female couple, but the reasoning for why they are "fighting" makes my eyes roll. The pace of today was much better and moved story. I hope it continues the rest of the week. As far as people complaining all the time, isn't that the American way? Society wouldn't be society without everyone's constant b*tching and moaning. I'm not sure most people even know how to be positive anymore. lol

I just noticed Tubi has the whole run of KL up now! When did this happen? During it's original run I watched the later seasons around the time of Nicolette Sheridan's arrival and have always wanted to watch from the beginning. I guess it's like a Christmas present. 😀

I just finished today's episode and enjoyed it very much, but I will say I was expecting something "big" to happen. I was expecting something to happen between Leslie and Laura. Maybe Leslie elude to running her off the road while making another threat to Laura only for someone else to overhear. Jacob? Marcel? or even Naomi? I also thought Leslie was going to make a "big announcement" to everyone at Winterfest about how Vernon was having an affair with Sharon only to have Vernon and Sharon reveal a surprise for Anita they were conspiring together to bring to fruition. Sadly, neither happened. I did find myself chuckling several times at the humor in the day's episode. The dialogue was great and even Vanessa sticking her tongue out at Leslie was a riot. Vanessa is a wreck and I wish the writers would figure out what they want that character to be. The Dani/Ashley scene was unexpected and nice to see Dani taken down a notch from her usual over the top performances. Greg Vaughan was great! I can't wait to see how he fits in. As others have said, I think Ted is a lost character right now. The show needs to figure out what to do with him too. I liked his scenes the other day with Shanice but I don't see them as a couple. I'd rather they explore Ted and June a bit more.

It would be a great twist if Anita knows Peaches and had her return to Leslie's life in order to drain her of the funds supplied by Anita. Kat is more and more obnoxious with every episode and I still don't think Tomas is needed. At the very least, replace Alex with a more charismatic actor. I'm so ready for Greg Vaughan . Please let him be Dr. Rollins.

Anita with Marcel/Elon and Eva/Samantha scenes. Glad the show continues to keep mixing up the characters.

I've never liked TK as Ridge and the last couple episode cements why. Ridge is written as such a smug ass and it does him no favors. The way he reacted to Bill being at Forrester and then to push aside Eric is sad. Ridge acts like he's the king of everything and he really isn't. Never understood the appeal of TK in general. I like Deacon/Taylor. They seem to work and the ramifications with Sheila and Ridge's jealousy would be worth it. What happened to Hope and Liam's wedding? Did they forget? lol Not that I want to watch them get married for the hundredth time, but I'd rather watch that than Will and Electra or Ridge walking around stomping his feet like a 5 year old.

Perry/Vicky instead of Ryan/Vicky could have been interesting. If we're assuming he had a break from the show and was first seen again as the one rescuing Vicky from the wild horse ride, he still could have come back as a cop investigating his father to add conflict and Vicky still in the mix. Perry would have already had a connection to Cass and Kathleen (when she returned) and Donna. Probably would have been a better fit if the show wanted to use history. However, when did AW ever want to use history properly? Seemed like every time there was a new producer, the show became a completely different show and the past didn't matter. I suppose if no Ryan there would have been no Grant (or Kelsey, thankfully!) No Ryan/Vicky/Grant which drove story for a long time.

My first thought at the time was Mac on AW and all the toasts he used to do to the audience. Loved it.

I was thinking on AW that Robert Hogan as Vince McKinnon and Marcus Smythe as Peter Love were accepted even though each was totally different than the previous actors. Robert and Denise Alexander as Mary had far better chemistry. Peter Love turned into more of a menace with the return of his father, Reginald, and became abusive toward Brittany. I thought Marcus did the role well even with the not-so-great writing for him. The writing didn't help Sally Spencer as the new MJ McKinnon either. Making her a former prostitute, but didn't she and Adam become quite popular? Re: Jensen Buchanan. She was hard to watch at first after the fire that was Anne Heche. However, Jensen's chemistry with Paul Michael Valley and Tom Eplin helped her overcome that. Both Vicky/Ryan and Vicky/Jake became hugely popular for the show with her in the part.

If Vernon is cheating, it ruins any credibility he has for hating on Bill and Ted after what they did to his daughters. Wouldn't make sense. I like the idea of him embracing a darker side. Joey wasn't wrong. Vernon manipulates people as well, but he just thinks he's the good guy. Not really feeling Shanice and Ted as a potential couple, but their scenes together were fun. Being scared of birds made me laugh. It's relatable.

Shows why I've lost so much interest in this show. John McCook for 1 episode is just sad. I know there are Brooke haters out there, but KKL is still a fave of mine. She just needs better writing and to get away from Ridge, who I can't stand. No interest in Will, Electra, Deke, Remy, Daphne, Ms. Dylan.

Eva doesn't seem too concerned her "new daddy" is stuck in an elevator! lol Some good Shanice and Ted scenes though. As if any restaurant manager would let some teenager hang around to "help" and get in the way. Diego! One thing this show is good at is characters that are around now and then like Diego. Continuity without regular focus.
