  1. At this point Ron could've stayed away from the show. IDK why they bothered bringing him back after the strike, and we've got so much to endure before the new writers stuff starts airing.
  2. I definitely wanna give EOB her flowers and kudos for portraying Theresa. It wasn't easy, and heck from what it appears it wasn't her choice either, but she made a valiant effort in trying to play a vastly different character, moreso than alot of actors who have been put in her place (I'm looking at you Michael Easton and Roger Howarth). While at times I was left wondering how her predecessor would've played it, I can't say that EOB ever phoned it in.
  3. These returns are causing me to have the feeling that Bob Guza is coming back, or maybe some other big name writer. (Not Ron though)
  4. It really is giving Obama '08 vibes. I love it and it makes me hopeful that we got this in our pocket come November.
  5. This warms my GL loving heart, as Ric was always my favorite Alan-Michael. Hopefully there are gripping and compelling stories accompanied with all these returns.
  6. Rinse wash and repeat basically. They did this with Lydia's rapist too.
  7. At this moment only person I can think of that would be acceptable to run against Trump/Vance and be Harris VP pick would be Pennsylvania’s Josh Shapiro.
  8. I’m going to back Kamala of course 100%, but I do not have any faith in the majority of the American electorate electing a black woman as president. This is reeks of Hillary 2016 all over again.
  9. Breaking…Joe Biden is dropping out of the race. There goes any chance of us winning in November. I think I’m going to be sick.
  10. It did seem that debate hurt him somewhat, but for a moment there after the smoke cleared, Biden seemed to gain some traction. Then there was Trump's assassination attempt, Biden's Covid diagnosis, and we're back at where we were at the end of the debate. It's frustrating.
  11. The Dem party is going to self own itself out of a victory this November. The party has lost focus and has forgotten exactly who were the voters who handed them victories in 2020 and the midterms. Sigh.
  12. The guy that killed off Bill Horton, Laura, Horton, and Abigail Devereaux gets the boot. And at this point I still don't know what was the point of killing off Adrienne.
  13. Yall I ran to this post, in fear that his replacement would be Dena Higley šŸ˜† Whew, I'm relieved. I hope Cwikly doesn't prove to be one of those writers who we regret coming back to the HW position, as I really enjoyed 2002/2003 era DAYS.
  14. Really enjoyed all things Jane/Ian/Bobby yesterday. I wish the show had done a standalone episode featuring the Jane reveal/Cindy showdown, but thats only a minor qualm that I have. I feel like the show properly provided some closure to some loose ends that were left dangling after the end of the Who kill Lucy? storyline. Cindy/Junior/Lauren looks to be messy, and I love it. Love how each week shifts focus to a different family unit on the square, this weeks it's Beales, last week it was the Mitchells, a few weeks before that was the Fox/Truman family, and before that the Knight family.
  15. Oh this return is going to be good; if just for the Cindy angle
  16. I wish we could see where we are going with this Sonia/Reiss storyline. At first it was a odd ball romance, then it was about Reiss still holding onto his comatose wife but then also wanting to move on with his life, then it was about Sonia and him wanting kids (a big wtf for Sonia who already had one), and now it's about Reiss extorting funds from people on the square. Like what is the endgame here? Is Reiss a ticking time bomb ready to snap and go psycho? Are we supposed to sympathize with him? It seems like this story has gone on for a considerable amount of time with no clear direction. Like get to the point already.
  17. Redressing the Salem Square as a wedding venue, at least they made a effort to hide it this time lol
  18. This. And I'm just sitting on the sidelines watching my party burn itself down. I've made a grea effort of ignoring all and any news media for the past week or so.
  19. Connie...the lady that was keeping Abe away from his family when he had amnesia....they're the same character type. Honestly the list goes on and on for the way Ron uses these no name irrelevant psychos to progress story.
  20. I couldn't help but to think that having the press conference in town square (they have every event in town square and it's getting tiresome) kind of took me out of the scenes on Friday, that and the lack of reaction to the reveal from the press/town folk at the event. I couldn't help but to think that if this had played out on a soap like EDGE back in the day, who had a shoestring budget, but could make scenes like a press conference work, it would've been more riveting.
  21. I don't know what it is, but CB's version of Gabi always came off as whiny and at times unserious. Watched Friday's episode I did not see that, it was like watching a different version of Gabi, one thats better IMO. I approve of this recast. I think you're making Ron's writing more than one dimensional here, and you know he doesn't do that. I love the idea of Tate being pulled into the Jude paternity reveal, because at the moment the story feels so isolated compared the rest of the show.
  22. While the left has been hit with negative news for the past week and a half, France has just rejected La Pen's far right ideals. Seems like the center and left of the country teamed up to defeat them. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/france-far-right-fails-win-majority-rcna160586
  23. Right! šŸ˜„ I want to say it's early 90s OLTL and mid 90s Loving's theme all rolled up into one.
  24. I’m willing bet that it does have to do with the Six storyline.
  25. Rumor has it that Confirmed!! https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/soaps/eastenders/eastenders-chrissie-watts-return-tracy-ann-oberman-newsupdate/
