DWS yet again shows what an idiot she is: http://www.politico.com/blogs/new-hampshire-primary-2016-live-updates/2016/02/gop-debate-2016-debbie-wasserman-schultz-218863?lo=ap_a2

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
I try not to judge based on other soaps but with a Hollyoaks producer I wouldn't be shocked if she and Aaron end up having a baby or something. There will also be a new Dingle on the way, possibly named Faith. I hope someone tells them there was already a Faith Dingle (Cain and Chas' mother). http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2016-02-05/new-member-of-the-dingle-family-to-join-emmerdale

Holly Barton is returning. I mostly remember that annoying voice. She did have her moments. I'm not thrilled that this will be about Cain and Charity though. http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/emmerdale/news/a782545/emmerdale-is-bringing-back-sophie-powles-as-holly-barton-and-its-bad-news-for-cain/

My favorite part of the scenes was the conversation between Brad and Katrina. It feels so "real," and the two characters both represent what made OLTL different from all the other soaps.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Awful news, but I respect her for not hanging on and on. I struggle to imagine what the Masoods will be like without her. She really revitalized them. And this makes the news that they don't want Nina Wadia back even more baffling. It's funny how the show just can't keep a Shabnam, isn't it. I just hope loser Kush is gone soon. I have no interest in a triangle with Stacey and Martin. One final thing - no character in years has reminded me as much of Julia Smith's EE as Rakhee's Shabnam. I think she would have been so proud. I really do.

This isn't all that well-produced (repetitive, too many talking heads, and stilted), but it has its moments. It's a look back at the Dean Scream, interviewing Howard Dean and a variety of campaign personnel. I never felt like the scream was why he lost - I felt like he was basically a fad and hybrid candidate (both ahead of and well behind his time), but I do think it's an example of the media at its worst and laziest. I'm surprised there was no mention of his supporters and their reportedly atrocious campaign in Iowa, which amounted to college kids who'd never even been to Iowa swarming around neighborhoods in orange hats. I guess they didn't want to be seen as kicking the people who helped him out. http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-dean-scream-what-really-happened/

Thank you for finding that. I mostly know her for her AMC run so I do want to see more Mona.

The character really didn't shine until they had her marry Lucas for cash. I love the people going NOOO about John/Hope too. That must have been a Corday yearning or something given that it popped up yet again a few years ago. Soap fans never really change. I guess if there's any difference now it would be people would probably be using more profanity...well that and no one on soaps now would take fan questions that are so unfiltered. The mid/late '90s was something that ended up being sadly fleeting in that area.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I think Yolanda may have some type of illness, but I think she's also a woman whose kids are growing up, and in some cases are having more success than she ever did, she is married to a man who is cold and even if he wasn't, could probably never give her what she wanted, and her time on the show, instead of being the platform for her empire and to make her the queen bee of the BH ladies, saw her make one bad choice after another and end up being an outcast on all sides as well as having little support from viewers. Retreating into an illness, especially one that will put positive attention on her and act as a catch-all for various things she has done or can't do, using said illness as an example of what a wonderful and loving mother you are - even if she isn't doing it consciously, it must be very tempting. I think she has some real mental health problems and if Bravo had had any sense of responsibility they would have let her go. Instead, as often happens with this show, they hang on too long and too late.

The guy who plays Duncan was on some show called Young Dracula. He also has a few Youtube videos up with his friends. Here's a balloon prank. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2655991/The-hilarious-moment-two-friends-prank-housemate-filling-room-2-000-balloons.html

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
That's how it's always been in this story. They've always made sure Shabnam is the one who gets the blame. They suggested she was trapping Kush into a relationship, that it was her fault that Kush cheated, that it was her fault that her baby died, etc. I think DTC expected viewers to love Kush and love his attraction to Stacey, and see Shabnam as an awful burden. And that's what we will continue to see. I can't stand Kush. I also think that Davood spends way too many scenes making sad panda faces and wet eyes.

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
Well that's because Agnes Nixon wanted to tie up to the show even with the strong possibility of a revival, while Goutman just wanted to do what he wanted to do. I think he even said they were going to act like they hadn't been canceled, which is ludicrous. He had no respect for ATWT's history or its fans, and he made that clear.

She is jealous, absolutely, but I took that more to mean Brandi ended up going on some desperate quest to make LVP's life hell.

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
I think it's more that the show more often than not chose not to trash the characters to prop up their kids. They did sometimes, like the rewrites claiming that Susan was drunk and neglectful throughout that waste of space Alison's childhood, or all the times Barbara was written as Cruella to push story for Paul, but more often than not, they didn't. When they did write more for characters like Lucinda and Barbara at the end, I thought the writing was decent enough.
