  1. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3441501/We-hijacked-Beyonce-s-Superbowl-performance-turn-protest-man-shot-dead-cops-smuggled-posters-stadium-panties.html
  2. Not much of a friend with her views.
  3. Paula is a good actress but I felt like the character was one-note - similar to how they ended up doing Becky. I appreciate her quitting rather than continuing to hurt other actors with the frequent maternity leaves. As for Norris - he's just too nasty and sour now. They used to have Rita there to keep him in check but she's not able to do that anymore.
  4. Nikhil should always be wearing less clothing. I just wish they hadn't gone this route with Nikhil/Leyla. She still loves Jai (God knows why...). Paddy has behaved horribly, although Dominic Brunt is doing well playing the material, perhaps because he knows Paddy has always been a bit of an !@#$%^&*]. [spoilers] We should be moving into a new phase of this mess soon - Rhona will be finding out and I have a feeling Tess is going to die. Cool 360 look at Wishing Well Cottage, hosted by Jane Cox.
  5. Didn't Chris Matthews just give a gushy interview with her not long ago? Some of her donors are supporting his wife's Congressional campaign. I don't think the basics have changed - I think that she will get the nomination as Bernie Sanders has done nothing to draw an audience beyond white college kids and big white liberals - but I do think she and her campaign have repeatedly shown how much they're going to struggle going into a general election. She isn't good at finding a message or at responding clearly to attacks. And that's going to hurt her. As for the GOP side, I wasn't expecting media darling Marco to be that far down the rankings, but I imagine this will be spun as ripe for a comeback, as he is still more of an appealing establishment candidate than Kasich or Jeb. That debate actually did him and his campaign a big favor, but the question is if he can actually change. He's a pampered pretty little doll who breaks once he's taken out of the china cabinet. Fortunately for him, in a year like this that may not matter.
  6. Why is Candace Cameron appearing on a show hosted by a married lesbian? Hypocrisy at its finest...
  7. John Kasich reaches what will likely be his high point: http://www.politico.com/blogs/new-hampshire-primary-2016-live-updates/2016/02/dixville-notch-new-hampshire-results-218986?lo=ap_a1
  8. I doubt most people will be comparing them, other than as actors who have played offensive stories making light of mental illness. I didn't want them compared. I was mostly just speaking on behalf of Steph Waring's underrated performances. She's always must see for me. Sorry. Reading your post I thought you meant people were saying he was great and she paled in comparison.
  9. I don't think they're doing anything all that bad in the public eye (although I don't think Bill or Chelsea are very good surrogates...), but it sounds like the campaign is having the same feudal wars they had in 2008, and that worries me a lot. They crippled her campaign the last time around.
  10. I would believe that but this is exactly what went on in 2008.
  11. I'm not sure why. I do wonder if that's a reason. The first Ryan was OK. The second one looked like her brother, not her son. They may as well start over and bring the other son in.
  12. They actually have matured him somewhat, in that he's married and a good stepfather to Craig, but yeah, it gets a little silly. They're lucky that Andy Whyment looks about the same age now as he did when he started, so people haven't seen a noticeably aging man still treated like an idiot, which isn't as "cute." Anyway, I'm glad you're sharing your thoughts. It makes me want to watch a bit more often. The Michelle stuff annoys me already, as her first love was named Dean, a man who died before she arrived on the show. He was Ryan's father (or the other one's father, as it turned out). They met when they were like 14 or 15. I wonder if this is just a further way to erase Ryan from the show's history.
  13. Oh look, what a surprise - yet another Clinton campaign drowning in backbiting and indecision. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/02/hillary-clinton-staff-shakeup-218955
  14. Kirk is supposed to just be dumb. Anna is so shrill and self-righteous I think most characters just tend to ignore her.
  15. This was a lot of fun. Reminds me why I enjoyed CYE years ago.
  16. Fair point. To be honest I don't think it will hurt Rubio, which speaks volumes of the stupidity of many of today's Republicans. He hates Obama and that's all they hear. Speaking of stupidity, here are some incredible examples of why many young women don't like to call themselves feminists: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/08/us/politics/gloria-steinem-madeleine-albright-hillary-clinton-bernie-sanders.html?_r=0
  17. I’m pretty sure Dailymotion put one of my Emmerdale Farm videos under age restriction just because the title said Episode 69. I guess no one told them there’s really nothing inappropriate going on…unless you count how viewers might react to the sight of all those achingly tight jeans on Frazer Hines and the rest.
  18. What about a love triangle? I can't see Paul staying around for that, as Ben and Johnny would obviously be endgame and the show doesn't give a [!@#$%^&*] about Paul on his own.
  19. Which likely means goodbye Paul. The character is terribly written and Johnny Labey isn't the best actor, but I do like Paul. I hated the idea of Johnny/Ben (and the fantasy that this would be a brilliant pairing because one is a Carter and one is a Mitchell, and blah blah Shirley Phil blah blah blah), and I doubt that will change.
  20. Politico said they were "supposed" to be saying that, but really, none of it mattered. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/02/who-won-the-gop-debate-218887 It's W all over again.
  21. None of this stuff is new, but as some OLTL channels seem to be gone now, I was going to mention that this channel is putting up a lot of OLTL stuff from 93-98 or so. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuBEQEy5GhKyC90OnxuCMRw
  22. Keith Charles circa his ATWT run.
  23. Media darling Marco fell apart, but he has so little competition I don't think it matters at this point. And The Beltway, not ones to let their fantasy husband down, are already spinning how meaningless it was: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/02/06/marco-rubio-had-a-rough-night-on-google-but-jeb-bushs-was-worse/
