  1. Thanks @Ninejamb for posting those episodes. Glad more soaps are making their content available.
  2. She has a few lines. Not much. The rest is standing around for a few group scenes. The scene with Chris (where she has her only lines) looks like it was filmed separately. About 31 minutes in.
  3. @YTG Thanks so much for these extra details. @slick jones Not sure if you'd this for your soap cast threads.
  4. Absolutely ridiculous. I'd say Vigard was the main one who made that pairing compelling. She also had potential for interesting relationships with Amanda and Jennifer if either of those characters had had more of a pulse. I do think Kathleen Cullen showed more layers when the Dobsons were writing for her - I could believe her being torn between her sexual and emotional desires for Ben and the cage Lucille wanted her to be in. Marland's pen just didn't give her anywhere to exist. I wish we could see more of her last year on the show as supposedly she was much better.
  5. Cain and Charity on Emmerdale were around 30 when their daughter Debbie had a baby. Cain may have been even younger as they had claimed he was a younger age than really fit the actor until they later retconned him to be in line with the actor's birth year. Leela on Hollyoaks was also about 30 when she became a grandmother.
  6. I think Josh said he asked to be taken off-contract because of his work outside of the show.
  7. I'd love that - the crumbling Alden mansion, maybe Emma and Gio or someone else staying at Kate's boarding house while getting away from Port Charles. But Loving will always be my very tattered comfort blanket of the ABC soaps and I doubt anyone there would see it the same way...
  8. All these pairings had so much potential. Not sure if they are just not going to do much with Ric as Hearst is recurring, they don't care about Liz, Ava is always just sort of hanging on, and Josh Kelly is recurring now too, but it's a waste. Pivoting back to the Obrecht gang isn't worth cutting out potential in the current canvas.
  9. If we get material from other soaps, I'd prefer story and character that can work with the canvas (I think @Vee has talked about a trip to Corinth that the show could take, although I may be wrong). I don't really need name drops, although I guess this wasn't really a homage to OLTL, they just wanted to do a Western fantasy and threw the names in. The Delilah mention is amusing because Clint is the one Buchanan man of her era she was not with (aside from Cord). Rather than any OLTL mention bothering me I tend to just agree with those who think they could do better with Molly. I feel like they're trying to take her back about a decade when she has gone through too much to go back.
  10. I always thought the early Spinelli/Maxie material had toxic vibes, as any story about the woman who needs to be humbled and see that the "real" guy who is obsessed with her is her soulmate tends to have, so if they want to rewrite history a little, I'm not too bothered in this case.
  11. They probably just switched partners because they were trying yet again to revamp her. I'm still surprised they didn't try to have a triangle with Gio and Emma, as early on Emma came in blasting her.
  12. In some odd way GH may be on trend - I keep hearing about how people her age are less and less interested in sex or relationships. I don't think she's a whore either, but it's partly on the show for how they framed her relationship with Dex - having her go have sex with Dex as Britt was dying, having her cheat on Cameron and the show praising her for doing so. And the "hot" sex scenes she's given that don't really work (admittedly I don't think most of those work on soaps).
  13. Series stars Van Der Beek, Michelle Williams, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, Mary Beth Peil, John Wesley Shipp, Mary-Margaret Humes, Nina Repeta, Kerr Smith, Meredith Monroe, and Busy Philipps will reunite at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City on Monday, Sept. 22 for a live reading of the show’s 1998 pilot episode. Van Der Beek was diagnosed with Stage 3 colorectal cancer in 2023, but did not publicly share his diagnosis until Nov. 2024. 'Dawson's Creek' Cast Will Reunite For F Cancer Charity Event

  15. Has his son learned to act yet?
  16. Thanks as always @slick jones
  17. Amy still has the same smile. Jason looks so much like John. By this time in his life, I remember John having more of a sadness onscreen, but Jason reminds me a lot of younger John.
  18. There have been various vintage Tristan interview clips on this channel lately.
  19. Thanks @YTG There are deep-pocketed lost media communities for adult entertainment, for old movies, sports. I wish it was around for soaps. Those tapes are historical artifacts for TV. I totally get why you weren't able to wrangle with them. I hope someone out there might be able to before it's too late, as it's going to take a lot of money and equipment.
  20. This isn't against Ryan but I hate the baby oil look. I have always hated it, even before the Diddy jokes.
  21. I wouldn't kill off any Quartermaine children. I just can't go there.
  22. I knew the reactions here were going to be more entertaining than the story probably will be, and so far I'm not wrong. Yes, I haven't watched Nathan's era in a long time, I was barely watching then, but I do find Josh a little more captivating and a bit better as a performer than Paevey. I know he's another of the brunette pieces of ass Frank has collected since the Ford days, but he is probably one of the better choices of the pack for me. I wonder how much of this revival is Frank trying to go back to some period where he felt happier with the show. I know Nathan and Britt have fans, I know Liesl has fans, but that era seemed to be literally dead and gone. Maybe he can give Donna Mills a check for a day, although she seems to have moved on.
