  1. That Christmas closing tag warmed my heart. It's so much of what I miss about Loving, and of soaps.
  2. @Nothin'ButAttitude it's always so nice of you to post these for fans. I usually end up seeing them around the same time you do so I tried to take over a bit while you were away. There used to be an EON fan here years ago who was a big fan of the Keith Whitney storyline. I haven't heard from them in a long time. I hope they are able to finally hear some of this.
  3. The episode where she remembered his abuse I thought was very powerful (especially the scenes where she went back to their old house, I believe) but you could tell - even then - that it had nothing to do with Roseanne Connor. That Roseanne Connor didn't really exist anymore. Rosanne was never an actress, per se, but she had a naturalness about her that went away when she started using the show as a platform and as therapy. I remember episodes like the one where she became addicted to bingo and started dressing like all the other ladies at bingo until Dan and the kids kidnapped her at the end of the episode. It was ridiculous but also hilarious. In later years she probably would have punched someone out.
  4. I thought this was a pretty good article. It also talks a lot about Lynch's more recent films. http://www.vulture.com/2017/05/twin-peaks-is-not-the-show-weve-convinced-ourselves-it-was.html
  5. California showing why things with the Democrats never change. http://www.politico.com/states/california/story/2017/05/21/democratic-divides-on-display-as-bauman-wins-california-party-chairmanship-112220
  6. He did get better later on I just couldn't resist.
  7. Some might say he never started...
  8. I see people in that TV Line article going on and on about some blind item it matches about a show that wouldn't be any good. Do you think that's it? I'd think Showtime is giving it a fair amount of hype for a show that they don't think is any good. It sounds to me like there's all kinds of personal baggage in the review. Seeing him talk about how he BEGGED Frost to make sure the show goes a certain way is never a good start. Maybe he would have been better off not watching.
  9. The whole story where they were so adamant about Jackie and Fisher breaking up and Fisher not being involved in his child's life was one of the main reasons I quit watching. The character became completely vile. Most of them did. The sad truth is that I think I really enjoyed the version of the show that Roseanne likely looks back on with contempt - the years with Crystal, when she was working at the factory, the food court, etc.
  10. True.
  11. What I meant was we need their money.
  12. Not that hard to figure out. $$$$$.
  13. I wonder how the Vatican feels about adultery... http://www.politico.com/story/2017/05/19/callista-gingrich-vatican-ambassadorship-trump-nominates-238629
  14. That random shot of Rosemary Prinz dancing cracks me up.
  15. I think he could have mostly because he was very in-your-face, which is what a lot of voters seemed to want this time around, but you never know.
  16. Biden will always be haunted by this election because he probably feels he would have beaten Trump when Hillary couldn't, as he was much closer to the terrain Trump was playing on. He's probably right, but he chose not to run. He has to live with it. I think his family life is a bit of a mess, which likely doesn't help.
  17. I think September.
  18. You can't make that up... How pathetic that this guy is grandstanding so he can get more clout at Faux News. And even more pathetic - he's going to be replaced when he leaves by Gowdy Doody, who has already shown he can't investigate anything beyond the content of his ear. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/05/19/house-gop-to-chaffetz-step-aside-on-oversight-238581
  19. They took quite a while to settle Anna in as Donna again, which made sense. I remember her first scene, fluffing her hair in a mirror at the carnival. Classic. When they wrote Philece as closer to the real Donna in her last months I thought she did a decent job. It was Donna as an ingenue that never worked for me.
  20. That last part doesn't really sound like him, so you may be right. Ouch at that LFB comment. Even without her face and personality struggles she really must have burned her bridges.
  21. I think making him a huge international villain was a stupid idea, and I also think if they knew Anna Stuart was going to leave they should have scrapped most of the storyline. I also think they needed another actor in the role. The Mary part of it didn't bother me as much, although it didn't work either.
  22. I doubt they will mention him but I'm reminded of how much I miss Glenn Quinn, even after all these years.
  23. As if we aren't getting enough queasy '90s flashbacks, it's the return of Joe [!@#$%^&*] Lieberman. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/05/18/joe-lieberman-fbi-frontrunner-238563?lo=ap_b1 I guess the FBI will be sure to crack down on violent video games.
