  1. @I Am A Swede another Farm era episode someone gave me.
  2. This piece about the debate between Macron and Le Pen and how much of a backlash there was against Le Pen, with media outlets calling her a liar, just reminded me of how far behind we now are, because if this had been the US, it would have been all kinds of "both sides" type comment and no media criticism of her whatsoever. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/04/world/europe/france-debate-marine-le-pen-emmanuel-macron.html
  3. @slick jones
  4. Apparently they actually take their elections seriously. Our media sees them as a reality show and as great fun. Even now you can tell they get high on Trump and see this all as great fun. They are scum.
  5. France's political system makes a lot more sense than ours. I also think that the dump there was done very sloppily. I do wonder if it had been done that way in the US it would have benefited Hillary. The way they did it with Hillary - leaks day after day for months on end - was brilliantly effective.
  6. I hope all those liberals on social media who did their usual superiority dance to show how they were so offended and it was homophobic and so on can feel happy about being used for purposes like the above.
  7. Another pick for Army Secretary withdraws. I think these people were unprepared for the heat they were going to face. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/05/05/mark-green-trump-army-secretary-withdraws-238048
  8. McTavish seemed to have an odd relationship with Dixie as other than that 1998 return a lot of her material for her seemed to heavily focus on her negative traits, especially her stubbornness and self-righteousness. I think sometimes Cady preferred playing that, but it was such a contrast to the St. Dixie we would often get. Jill Larson was such a wonderful actress.
  9. Congrats to Kassie and Eddie. I hope they show up in something good soon. I still miss the old SOD covers (and actual photoshoots) but aside from the garish bit at the bottom that's not a bad effort.
  10. SB seemed to drop tons of people rather than doing anything with them. It's odd, as surely they had the budget to keep people on a bit longer. I guess they just didn't want to.

  12. I agree with you about the writing (it was so degrading, especially her relationships with Cruz and Keith), but I enjoyed watching Gallego as I thought she acted the hell out of the role. She had some superb scenes with Gina and with Eden. I wish they'd built more on that because I think she could have played strength, moreso than a number of other women who were brought in to be victims, like Kristen Meadows.
  13. That's a great find. Thanks. She has so much poise.
  14. I imagine that one part in particular is a sop to the groups who melted down over the Congressional budget not taking away Planned Parenthood funds. They must have been horrified to realize even now they couldn't make that dream come true.
  15. That's an insult to Kim and Kanye... I didn't even know they were a couple. I'm still wary about the EOs but I agree they are mostly bait. I notice the media is going wild about the Susan Rice story again.
  16. I don't think it will, but apparently the members of the so-called moderate "Tuesday Group" are lashing out at their sellout leader and saying he will cost them Congress. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/05/03/macarthur-obamacare-house-republicans-237951?lo=ap_b1
  17. Frank Runyeon agreed with you there. He said as much when he left or was fired or whatever. I hated him on ATWT, but I have to admit I don't mind him in the clips I've seen on SB, even if it often feels like he later just becomes a Cain replacement in Cruz's life. So many promising actors came and went on SB. I was just watching a clip with Pearl and Kyle Secor earlier today and was reminded again of how he got snapped up by NBC primetime after the show seemingly had little use for him.
