  1. We stopped caring about due process when W was President - Trump is just more blunt about it.
  2. I think it used to be on Oakdale Historian or a channel like that (not sure if that channel is still around), unless I'm thinking of another episode.
  3. The Rick Thomas channel on Youtube has been putting up a lot of Watergate-era stuff. That can tend to blur together, but I thought this was interesting. At about 28 minutes starts an interview with then-Senator Daniel Inouye. I didn't know he was subjected to a racial slur during the Watergate hearings.
  4. My main issues with Katie, beyond the amount of characters badly damaged for her sake, was that Terri Conn was a cold, limited actress who lacked chemistry with nearly all her romantic partners. She certainly didn't get ATWT canceled, and she isn't why I stopped watching the show, but I do think she was a drag on the show. Conn was lucky to have a lead role as long as she did. She was badly exposed once she got to OLTL.
  5. Eric Sheffer Stevens deserved to go on to more. He also deserved much better than he got at ATWT.
  6. You can see in that clip why Andy Cohen loves Gizelle. She's very very rehearsed. For all the talk of Karen being a sham (and I'm sure she is in many ways), she feels much more natural, and has more integrity in how she speaks and carries herself. There's nothing inside Gizelle.
  7. I'm desperately hoping some kind of Where the Heart is material will pop up somewhere sometime... (beyond the lovely audio uploaded by Danny Hill)
  8. Watching that GMA thing I couldn't believe they didn't mention Valerie, as it's the most direct comparison.
  9. Me too. I guess this was around the time she was on Broadway.
  10. If they did I would be more likely to watch. The hatchet job done on Jackie in the last 3-4 years of the show is a big reason why I tuned out. Dan would do it - then he'd slam the back door.
  11. Horgan was interviewed about her soap work 3-4 years ago - she had a few ATWT questions. It was a podcast. The person posted here and some of us submitted questions. I remember it mostly because I think mine was about Eileen Fulton coming back and I think she said that happened when she wasn't there (which I don't believe was the case, but maybe I am misremembering).
  12. No clips with this, sadly. Someone in the comments said it was from 9/8/72. No real way of knowing I guess.

  16. Judy Gold (who had a recurring role on The City) doing some random "talk to moviegoers" spot.
  17. He is (or was, I don't know what he does now) a talented writer and comedian, but if people don't realize after tonight that Tom Arnold cares about attention and not a lot else, then they never will. There's a reason he and Roseanne got together. Seeing people on Twitter actually believing all this stuff with Cohen was embarrassing.
  18. Most of the time these things are left offcamera.
  19. I think in this case someone was just giving an anecdote as they ran into her and enjoyed talking with her. I agree that an actor's opinion is ultimately just their opinion.
  20. I think you or someone else was talking about this last year. It's just awful.
  21. The sad thing is by Barbara standards I don't even feel like it was a huge comedown - she had more than her share of questionable or bland pairings and periods (Brian, John, Gavin) before even getting into what Sheffer did to her. Now that was stupid. Absolute garbage.
  22. Thanks. I would say maybe they should have had Fee come in as a recast of Linda Anderson, but I get the feeling that recast wasn't well-liked either.
  23. Mike was one of their most popular leading men with Mark Collier, I think, so I never thought that would happen. Henry was a strange one for me because I did read him as gay, but unlike many I never had a problem believing his relationships with women either. I think because Trent Dawson had his own unique energy, for better or worse. I didn't like what they did with Vienna, but compared to many in the Goutman era she got off easy.
