  1. I don't think there's any chance of him resigning or being impeached. The only chance of stopping him was if Republicans had any moral responsibility. They didn't. And the NYT bringing this up a year later and going out of their to make the woman look bad just shows how complicit that paper is.
  2. Thanks. She was a natural. That doll keeps giving the side eye.
  3. Oh good. I hoped you hadn't. I never knew she did commercials so it was a nice surprise for me too.
  4. @vetsoapfan I thought you might like this. I found it in a longer reel and made a clip of it.
  5. @AT1980 thank you so much for the 1975 episode. I just got to watch it. Wonderful. Such beautiful and emotional drama. By the end of the decade, the subject matter of a woman coping with the loss of her sexuality and a man's desire had become the subject of parody (Bea Arthur lampooned it in a controversial SNL spoof on "First, You Cry"), but at this time it was still very novel. It's done with great tenderness here. There's something about Bell actors at their best - they manage to make hog wild melodrama seem both extreme and also grounded in reality. Would you mind if I clip a few of the commercials in this (if no one else has)? I saw Jerry Lacy, and Dorothy Stinnette...the woman in the Sine-off ad was familiar too.
  6. I'm surprised it was that long. Some celebs get a day.
  7. I haven't watched the debate, but I read that Castro went for the jugular. I wonder if someone promised him a position, as he's going nowhere fast.
  8. I think he's trying, and failing, to do the whole "as a parent of a child" boilerplate speech.
  9. You know Melania doesn't give a [!@#$%^&*] about vaping. I read that "edgy" comedian Bill Burr is attacking Michelle Obama for his latest standup special and we're all meant to be amazed and in disbelief at his bravery. Never mind that 8 years were spent calling her a terrorist, a socialist, and attacking her (and her husband and children) in the ugliest and most racially charged terms.
  10. Thank you for the rundown, @sivad40 . Fooliani put a 9/11 propaganda tweet. Not going to post it, but I'll just say I'm glad so many people ate him alive in the comments.
  11. I read about this yesterday. I was shocked. I think, along with others, I assumed it was meant jokingly until video came out. Not that it really matters, but I thought the actor had a lot of potential and Ellis could have been the solid, mostly likeable, long-term character Emmerdale needed. This is the third ugly incident in a year, after the accusations and trial against the actor who played Daz (which I believe he was recently found not guilty for), the sacking of the woman who played Manpreet's daughter over racist tweets. Four if you count all of that mess with the actor in Victoria's rape story. The show is becoming a real mess behind the scenes, similar to what was going on a decade ago with actors being sacked and suspended year after year. At least back then the onscreen quality was stronger. Not that that has anything to do with this, but
  12. Bolton has always been temperamental and too much of a burden for anyone to bear, but I thought he would be able to keep a lid on it enough to get to attack Iran, his longtime dream. I guess Trump was too much even for him. Astonishing. Anyway, tonight is the special election for NC-09, the seat left unfilled because of voter fraud (on the GOP side). It's a Republican-heavy district, so the Republican (Dan Bishop, whose main accomplishments are the "bathroom bill" and shoveling money at extremist app Gab) should be able to win easily, but wait for the media to do backflips if he does, telling us that the Republicans are back and "real" America loves Trump and this is awesome and takes away from all the constant terrible problems Trump is tied into.
  13. Cameron has become one of the main faces of Hallmark in the last decade - he's probably more famous for that than he was for AMC - so I suppose this really is big news for many. I'm sorry to hear what he's going through and I can only give my best thoughts and wishes to him and to his family.
  14. Is this Faith Catlin in the Mr. Clean ad around 2 minutes in?
  15. Fascinating, bizarre stuff.
  16. Sorry if this was already posted, but we had more cruelty toward suffering people (non-white people, naturally) and more of Trump casting racist attacks onto them to help sugarcoat his (and Stephen Miller's, presumably) callousness. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2019/09/09/bahamas-survivors-visa-ferry-stranded-cpb/ Media darling Marco was one of the people out there saying the visa issue should be waived. I bet he hasn't made a peep about what Trump did. I also wonder if this will affect Trump in Florida. Those Cuban Republicans can't be happy about this. https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/d3a3gw/ice-put-120-cubans-on-a-single-flight-to-havana-in-major-deportation-ramp-up
  17. Why is this in the canceled section?
  18. CW? Why? Why? Why? The only positive is I don't see any of the names of the people who make Riverdale and Sabrina, so that means less of cheering and laughing at child abuse and homophobia and having black men exist solely as drug rapists our blonde, white heroines are meant to kill.
  19. This makes me want to throw up.
  20. You're right. Anyway, looks like it was Bolton who was put off. https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/460478-pence-bolton-opposed-taliban-meeting-at-camp-david-report
  21. Are the MTM producers Portal fans?
